Thought he controlled quite a few actually. There was one beautiful trap and pass towards the end. Rather him than pinball Armstrong.

Thought both new signings had a decent half. THB looks a liability to be perfectly honest, lots of wayward passes and stupid tackles. I find a few things annoying, mainly the amount of time we take for throw ins and the lack of crossing still. Get the ball in the middle for the 6ft 8inch striker to attack please.

I remember the 2-5 game really well. I was in a Super 8 in Houston and kept having to run to reception to check the score on the customer desktop PC (this was before wi-fi was everywhere days) and couldn't believe it. I have a sneaky feeling about this one as well. Think we'll weather the storm and take some points here. Going for 1-3. It has to click at some time, surely!?

Disagree, from what little I've seen of Manning play, he seems to be improving and has been pretty decent since Juric came in. Think he is a decent professional and is stepping up. Bree also seems to be playing at a higher level.

Thought much the same as everyone else at the match yesterday who has posted their thoughts. First half was atrocious. Armstrong did nothing, Downes was a liability and our lack of tackling as their players ran at our defence allowed them to get into decent shooting positions. For the 2nd, thought Bedders was fouled at the game but since seeing the highlights, ref got that one right. Thought Ramsdale was at fault for the 3rd at the game but was a bit harsh after watching it back, though he really got lucky with the 4th non-goal. We looked so much better with Downes off. Ugo took control of the match and played a blinder. Kept it tight at the back with some great defensive work but also drove up the pitch to help in attack. This freed Aribo up a little more and he grew into the game. Great for Tall P to score, really good header, thought he added a dimension when he came on, along with Sully; pace and height/strength on the pitch at the same time. Fernandes was good but he needs to be a little more controlled and not lose his rag when the whistle goes....though the ref was terrible yesterday. Think Archer is not being given the right tools to do a job for us. Think putting him alongside Armstrong is limiting what he is able to do and is unfair as I think he has a lot more about him and with the right service could be a decent player for us. I was surprised at how much time wasting went on by the Forest players. So much time taken for throw ins (which we're so guilty of as well), lining up free kicks and rolling around on the floor injured for ages. Glad it all got added up to 12 minutes and would've been very happy to see us equalise and the time wasting blow up in their faces. Exciting 2nd half but still another check in the 'plucky loss' column. Surely we must be able to grind out a win soon!

Live just over an hour's walk from the ground. To get there I have to walk along Southampton St and go past St Mary's gardens, surely good omens for today...2-0 Forest! 😁

I know it is only against Championship opponents but we look decent. Has the Juric effect clicked in?

Living in Nottingham, I was surprised but happy to be able to get general sales tickets for this. First game I've been able to get tickets for this season. Hoping we're a bit more competitive by then and beat the stupid tricky trees. Would be great to be able to laugh at my work colleagues in the event of a rare win to the Saints.

The general Metal scene these days in Southampton is shocking. Just The Hobbit left now I think. Anything is better than the Martin sh*t show we've had so far so pleased we've got someone in quickly that is different. And also being into Metal, I like him already, has obvious taste 😁 A Forest supporting friend did ping me to say in Croatian, Ivan Juric translates as Sam Allardyce which did make me laugh. Onwards and upwards hopefully.

Saw the 0-5 about 10 mins from the end and have only just checked back in to see something sensible has finally happened. What's WGS up to these days? We need a grafter now, a Dyche type to play a way to our players strengths and not a philosophy. I'm not fussed about staying up, just beating the Derby total...seeing as I'm in Nottm. Everyone here wants us to beat that total!

1-0 to Saints. Arse will not turn up as they will be expecting an easy match. We'll play out of our skins and get the winning goal in the 90th minute as a defender clears the ball off of BBDs arse and into the net. Bosh!

Thank goodness I'm away from Nottm for the next month on holiday so I don't have to put up with the gloating at work next week. Hopefully everyone will have forgotten by the time I'm back.

Wow! Am I the only person here who has that 'new season' hope feeling? I'm going for a 1-2 Saints win, Armstrong and BBD to score. Then we'll lose at home to Forest 😁

Said only last week to my Forest supporting colleagues that I would love us to sign BBD. Thought he excelled last season in a poor Sheff Utd side so am genuinely excited by this signing. Time to swap Loch Ness Drogba for BBD in my Fantasy team.
