Agree that he shouldn't be playing behind Pelle. Either out wide, crossing for Pelle or behind a quick striker. He's been fairly good on the whole this season though.

I know it's been mentioned on other threads, but I would say Davis is, without doubt the most appreciated current Southampton player among the fan base (primarily in the form of "I really rate Davis, even though everyone else hates him").

Looked competent against Slovenia, take Saints bias aside and there was nothing, IMO, to suggest he's more capable then Johnson who is superior to him going forward.
