Pompey at home- something a bit special
Saint_Randell replied to forever a red and white's topic in The Saints
Why not just drown them out like we used to with F*ck off Pompey!? -
God I hope not.

No source as such, just heard some people say it on Twitter. No idea how reliable, probably just your usual transfer rumour that comes to nothing! This is one of the people who has said it: https://twitter.com/#!/Moose_talkSPORT

Both Fulham and Southampton had Marvin Sordell watched in Saturday's game vs Doncaster. Take what you want from it just saying what I've heard......
-
We've needed a song for Hoovield, and now we have it. GET IT STARTED NEXT GAME!

Haha, this is what I have to put up with: ' Fir the record most of Lamberts goals that go towards his title 'seasons top scorer' are from penalties, if you're the penalty taker you're obviously going to have more over all goals, yeah he's a good player but you're making him out to be... amazing, his skills aren't that good, he knows where to be at the right time and he's got good ball control, but when I rewatched the saints goal he proper smashed Pearce out of the way, he uses his size to a big advantage sometimes, doesn't make him as amazing as everyone's making out, he was highly doubted in division 1. ' Some Skates are so stupid it's laughable.

Basically just wanted to know if you took away Lambert's penalties this year would he still be top scorer in the league? Was having an argument with a skate who said he's only top scorer because he takes penalties, which we all know is bullsh*t but wanted to prove to him wrong. He's 6 goals ahead of McCormack (in all competitions)...

So, were we quiet or were there just no microphones down our end? I'm hoping the latter. Because I hate to say it but we sounded very very quiet on TV, much quieter than them.
-
Haha, you clearly know nothing about football.
-
Who did BBC give it to? No-one really deserved it tbh, I would go for Lambert, constant threat for the whole game. Lallana would probably be up there.

Newcastle one has got more votes at the moment, seems the voters are liking the deft, skilful goals more than the absolute screamers!

Saints V Blackpool Match Thread and Reaction

I agree with many on here, Lallana was poor by his standards, but the important word here is 'by his standards'. If I remember rightly it was his pressuarising that led to the first goal. In the second half he went completely missing and I was screaming at the TV; 'Lallana get on the ball and make something happen!' Now it took him to the 92nd minute to actually get on the ball and don't you know it, it led to our second goal. What I'm trying to say is even when he's playing very poor by his standards, he still makes stuff happen. Every player has bad spells, and Lallana is in his at the moment, however luckily for us his bad spell is still better than half of this division. -
Can we not sing this when we play them at Fratton Park? When I watched some of the 4-1 defeat back on TV it just sounded like Pompey were making all the noise, everyone who watched it on TV said all they could hear was 'Play up Pompey', which of course we know was us lot singing and not them. Don't have a problem with 'Pompey going down with no money in the bank', or can't we bring back the good old days of 'F*ck off Pompey, Pompey f*ck off'. That definitely doesn't sound like Play up Pompey!

What was this site like back in the doom and gloom days where we had about 2 decent performances all year?! To be fair I think most are being sarcastic though
-
Thought it'd be good to list all of Nigel's cliches that we hear every week in his interviews! So far..... 'We've got a good, honest hard working group of lads that are all striving to do their best for Southampton football club'
-
So who's going to watch AFC Totton tomorrow then? First round of the F.A Cup, against Bradford Park Avenue, very winnable tie. Win that and we're in with the big boys (do Saints come in 2nd round or 3rd now?)

To the tune of the old Marian Pahars song: Morgan Schneiderlin Schneiderlin Oooohhhh Ohhhhhh Schneiderlin Not very creative but we don't have a song to this tune so might as well. Also liked the Go Compare chaplow song earlier and some of the De ridder one's have potential!
