The atmosphere in the itchen north was all ways good, lively and intimidating for away fans, but in Ruperts wisdom he chose to shut the corner. The Itchen North was still ok but then they decided to close the top 8 rows of what was left, the Itchen is now dead!!! NC and the club had an opportunity to address this but chose not to. Any ho, good result anyway!

So we'll be seeing a writ issued to The Sun from Cortesse for liable then as The Sun is lining!!!

Got to disagree with you here mate, don't see how this is good for the club or just a 'storm in a tea cup'! From a sponsor point of view the club must now become less attractive, they may well want to sponsor but I feel a company looking for national coverage would now be renegotiating the contract now Britains best selling newspaper no longer covers us, they don't even refer to us as Southampton FC anymore, yesterday we were 'opposition' and in today's fixtures we are 'South coast team' great work nc!!!

Funny, i took my little girl to watch Toy Story 3 the other day down @ Leisure World and guess what, I parked for FREE!!!!! I guess that as good business people they are thinking 'lets make it as easy as possible for our customers to use us and stay with us the more we'll make' makes perfect business sense to me!

How on earth is Markus subsidising the fans?? The Saints carpark is empty, no one other than sfc staff / visitors use it. Fans have purchased away tickets, they have paid for the travel club which all makes the club money, why on earth should fans then have to pay another £10 to park? If the carpark was being used by shoppers and or visitors to the city and the club had to close a section to accommodate fans then yes, charge, but to charge fans, your own fans to park in an empty carpark is poor!!

My mistake, sorry! must learn to read the entire thread!

The Woolston Ferry I looked over Woolston and what did I see Coming for to carry me home? That old Woolston Ferry coming towards me, Coming for to carry me home . . . If you're ever out in Sholing And you want to go to town Don't you go via Bitterne That's the long way round Take a trip across the ferry Take a trip across the sea And if you're a pedestrian, you can go for free . . . On the Woolston Ferry It doesn't travel very fast It was never built for comfort It was built to last On two steel hauses Across the river it'll creep The steel glints in the sunlight And flops back into the deep And from the deck of the ferry What a wonderful sight All they shipwrights grafting At Thorneycrofts on the right On the Woolston Ferry It doesn't travel very fast It was never built for comfort It was built to last Go and see Lowry's painting In the art gallery Of this wonderful relic of a past centruy When I sing of its construction You'll be surprised to learn That the bow going one way Coming back becomes the stern! On the Woolston Ferry It doesn't travel very fast It was never built for comfort It was built to last See the weather-beaten captain With his weather-beaten tan He don't wear no gold braid He's a corporation man And the captains of the ferry They're a dying race Cos there ain't no ex-tram drivers To go and take their place On the Woolston Ferry It doesn't travel very fast It was never built for comfort It was built to last But the floating bridge has had it They say it's got to go Cos the motorists don't like it At 15p a throw So they build a bridge of concrete Very modern, very high But every time I use it I look down on either side . . . On the Woolston Ferry It doesn't travel very fast It was never built for comfort It was built to last, to last

I don't buy it, if he relented under fan pressure why the no u-turn over the payment plan and more to the point how are things going to change by christmas? Saints lying 2nd, 2 points behind Sheff Wed and 8 points in front of Huddersfield and NC sacks AP,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you sure!!!!!

Be interesting to hear the away songs "come on you Blacks" don't really do it for me!!!
-
The kit doesn't really excite me, bog standard umbro template, really don't get the "love this kit, can't wait for it to come out"!
-
Surely your on a wind up Mr Jock? So we pay £1m for Rickie, he finishes the leagues top scorer, player of the season, in a team built around him by a manager that he himself has "improved my game and fitness" yet we are going to sell him to a small Wiltshire satellite club and take a £400k loss????????????????
-
Yet again you fail to answer the point. Do players really 'pander' to fans? If they do is that not part of the game, is that not why they are paid ££££'s for? As for your comment about "twitter" I have no idea what your talking about, all i would say is some people may be on twitter that are not Saints fans, and are simply there trying to stir things! How many times have fans on this site ambushed poll's on other sites? Loads!
-
This is the sort of comment I don't get, we are fans, we are interested in whats going on, we want photo's, quotes and comments, thats what fans do! As for players "pandering" to us, do me a favour, did you see the world cup? Looks like the players are the ones that are pandered!!

I don't think he's "sticking up for all the fug's" but simply saying the sentences are harsh, which they are. He is also right to use examples of other violent crime and the sentences handed out for said crime. This was not a Saints mob, this was not organised football violence, this was simply fans leaving the stadium and walking home up Belvidere Road only to be greeted by gloating cheering Portsmouth fans the other side of the road. Yes fans ran to the fence, yes there was shouting and fence rattling and things were thrown. Everyone that threw things should of been arrested and charged but even then I think community service or a tag would of sufficed, as for the fence rattling, come on, please! Was it inciting rival fans or goading? If we are saying chanting and rattling a fence is incitement then surely fans in the Northam and Itchen North stand will be next up in court because i'm sure I heard a few choruses of "my old man" and "when I was just a little boy"!

How many times do we have to answer this before some of you actually hear it? Every existing season ticket holder could of afforded a ticket this time if WE'D BEEN TOLD EARLIER!!! If they'd told me in April that I had till the end of June to re-new my 2 season tickets I'd of saved for them, I wasn't told. so I haven't and the club have lost 2 season ticket holders, mine held for 21 years. what great customer appreciation!!! Ps. talking about interest free credit, is it not us season ticket holders that actually give the club credit by paying a year up front???
-
I've been a season ticket holder for 21 years, I'd say that was loyal. My social life, holidays, events are scheduled around Saints, I'd say that was loyal. Where is Saints loyalty to me? I'm not saying I won't attend games next year, I will, but and it's a huge but, I won't be going to nowhere near as many as I would with a season ticket. There will be games, times, weather where I'll "i'll give that one a miss"! I've seen it happen loads of times to mates, they gave up tickets and said they'd still go, but would select games, they went to fewer and fewer, you get out of the habit!
-
That's even worse then, decisions that effect so many people should be top of any agenda. Norwich have excellent communications with fans and their ticket arrangements are a priority and renewal's are out in March regardless of promotion or relegation, which is why they were 95% full with an attendance only bettered by Leeds!
-
How can you be listening and making an educated opinion, nothing has been said by the club, nothing at all!!! Whatever your 'educated opinion' is, you must agree that at the very least it's bad customer relations/communications. If the club had released a statement outlining that the facility to pay by instalments was to be removed back in March, everyone that relied on said plan could of made alternative arrangments!
-
intelligent post, did you think that all up by yourself or did mummy help as she was changing your nappy?
-
That's all mate, because of the way the business is now being run they have lost 2 loyal customers!
-
Its not so much the plan itself, just advise me that its being withdrawn, I can save, purchase and carry on supporting the team I love!
-
Only the club would have those details mate, what is obvious via the polls on here and the Echo website is 30% of fan's polled are not renewing!
-
I don't want to give up or moan, there is just no way I can find the cash within 30 days for 2 season tickets!!! You are right the club is in it's infancy, but Luker is time served in the ticket office, if his opinion isn't going to be sort the that doesn't bode well, imho!
-
here's your answer - Dear Jason The Supporter Charter relates to the 09-10 season, whereas the prices released relate to the 10-11 season. The Club has decided against offering an installment payment option this year due to the increased costs of administering such a scheme. We hope this answers your query. Kind Regards David Luker Head of Supporter Services Southampton Football Club

Personally I couldn't give a t0ss about the programme but others do, a mate up the pub has got everyone since something like 1973. People, businesses and organisations would of spent money, a lot of money on entering the programme, question's need to be answered!
