What like impending relegation, administration, new manager etc. Your right, everyone is allowed a holiday, one would question the timing though, he wasn't at the last home game, now away for the next couple!
-
I would imagine he'd have exactly the same right, as a major shareholder, to talk to any manager, player, agent he wants to. Pretty much the same way that lowe was talking to Jan & Wotte while Crouch was chairman, or is only ok when its Lowe doing the talking???
-
Look in fairness you were giving the chap the benefit of the doubt, getting behind him, supporting him. I don't think there was any smugness in your post, no "where are all the people who thought jp was sh!t" like some on the thread. It hasn't worked (i never thought it would) time to move on! It is funny as f*ck though reading the "JP is great" "he's better than Pearson & Burley"
-
When do you want an apology, don't you hate smugness, oh sh!t thats right, you were being smug. Egg, face, your, on, you work it out!!!
-
Probably not, no, all our efforts and resources show aimed at the removal of this joke board. Lowe out!!!!

The last thing we need now is for Jan to pull off a freak result

Fair point but in all honesty if the support of a chat forum is going to make a difference then we're fooked my friend! -

This is something I've worried about for a long time, things just don't add up, why Lowe & Wilde? Why JP, there's loads of managers from lower leagues that would be as cheap, if not cheaper than jp that have experience in English football that would of jumped at the chance, Mick Holmes anyone?? I'm not sure if Lowe's planning to buy it from admin, i keep hearing the name "Jacksons farm" pop up! From the little I know the land was left for club use only, no building, no selling etc, if the club fell into admin that clause would be out the window as all club assets are fair game! Not sure how this appeal to Lowe, I just don't get what he's doing here? -

Come on John, the support as been excellent all season, Saturday was the first negative atmosphere i've experienced all season. I know the numbers haven't been great but I feel the support has been, i thought the fans would of turnt months ago, 1 win in 14! Going back to numbers, JP had never managed a team with more than 4k supporters at a game, so for him the support is huge, even the new lad, jean paul Siese (sp?) couldn't believe the amount of traveling at Barnsley! -
Ever considered that this was down to the return of Lowe and Wilde?? In my group of friends I'm the only 1 that renewed this year, every other lad to a man said "i'll not set foot in sms until Lowe's gone" and to be fair, not 1 has!! Also, it was pretty obvious that we were going to struggle this season once Lowe let Pearson go and appointed a no one, he has no track record and has never worked for a club bigger than Eastleigh. For my money people/fans just thought, i've had enough, sfc as i knew it is dead!!!
-
So nothing to do with the mis-management of the club, resulting in relegation? Nothing to do with the managerial merry go round at sms? Nothing to do with the boardroom in fighting? Nothing to do with lack of investment after relegation? Nothing to do with selling of every single player of any value replacing them with cheap options? Nothing to do stupid experiments with scw, how much money was wasted there at a time (not in the prem) when we couldn't afford it? Nothing to do with closing the corners, sacking pearson, appointing a dutch nobody, playing the youth yet charging to watch the first team?? Yes your right, all down to the fans!!!
-
"Sh!t, where's my wheel barrow gone" "I can't work it out, i had it, it was in my hands, where the f*ck has that gone" "Oiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, Bradley, bring back my f*cking wheel barrow you toe rag"!
-
No! Person is the manager that took over an experience, under-achieving, mis-managed team who had just been knocked out of the cup and in free fall in div 1 with only 13 games left and SAVED US!!!! When are people going to stop being so blinkered? So you think Lowe & Co are doing a good job, thats fine (i don't agree) but thats your prerogative, but please look at things factually, don't muddy the water to try and make Pearson look bad and Lowe good!
-
Yes, i really feel we need a leader to fall behind, someone or something to lead the fight. I like Nick but i just feel he's no longer the fans man, i've had some good chats with Nick, been involved helping him with various campaigns, the red card, the giant saints shirt over the old walls, this was before he saddled up with Lowe! Don't know whats happened to him, he's still got the passion, just lost his way!
-
Yes he is mate, do you not remember last time?? Bags and body's patted down and searched, as soon as a banner made it in and was held up the stewards removed it!
-
The echo doesn't seem to agree with you here mate, man of the match, Kelvin Davis!!!
-
Regardless of the talent one thing for sure is if you play your left winger on the right and your right winger on the left, take of your 1 experienced center back your going to loose! That has nothing to do with finances or talent that is down to inept tactics!
-
I'm with you, i've felt relegation was on the cards as soon as Portaloo was appointed, I still purchased 2 season tickets in blind hope, even when Lowe closed the Itchen corner I passed up the get out clause and moved my seat. Thats what you do isn't it, your head know's whats coming yet your heart tricks you into thinking "it might not be as bad as i think" As Mr. X says, prepare for relegation, its coming my friend, we have a board, manager and team unable to change tactics to stop the inevitable!
-
I'm only guessing here but knowing Lowe I'd guess that Portaloo is on a rolling 12 month contract, with that being the case i see no reason why we can't appoint a manager now, and keep Portaloo on as coach, after all he's only our head coach anyway so it's not like we're sacking him. Explain to our new manager that he'll be working with Portaloo as his number 2 until his contract expires at the end of the season when we his contract wont be renewed, then the new man can bring in his own number 2. Hopefully Portaloo would be to proud to accept this situation and would hand in his resignation! On the other hand, how much will it cost us to stay as we are and get relegated??

Why was the "thug" ejected????
-
The version of the story i heard was this, 2 fans invaded the pitch and were rightly apprehended by the stewards. By all accounts the number of stewards that got involved became excessive, 18. David made a comment about how "tough" the stewards were, 18 on to 2 "big men"! when he went into corporate a steward that heard his comments on the radio asked him to leave, he said he couldn't eject him but again asked him to leave! Thats what i've heard anyway!!!
-
Funnily enough I've just had the very same conversation with a friend on the phone. I find it quite insulting when Jan is on the radio saying "how do you expect us to perform when you criticise the boys" well I agree with you mate, i think the support has been great, to be honest i've been amazed that the fans have stuck with the team/manager for so long. 1 win in 14 home games is disgraceful!
-
Yes your right it was a crazy idea, and i doubt very much in the cold light of day wither the idea would of been carried out. These are very crazy passionate times, passion is what makes football so great, no one can expect the complete adulation, devotion and blind loyalty without the flip side which, is anger. Both are human emotions and you can't have 1 without the other, the blind loyalty from the fans which the club milks so much is not unforgiving, passion goes both ways. As for the PM, you don't like or find the contents offensive there is a complaint system in place. You report to admin, they investigate and act accordingly, they keep a record of said post and i'm sure, should anything illegal happen would pass said thread/post to the relevant authorities, there's no need for you to betray the confidence of a pm!
-
Exactly, we need action now to try and stop us falling into administration. Saying that, i question if Lowe & actually care if we fall into admin or not, i feel there is a darker motive to the whole Lowe/Wilde pack, Jacksons Farm!!
-
I agree mate, and as my earlier post says i feel if you could get some hi profile recognition to endorse it your on to a winner. Imagine MLT being a poll bearer, that would add 500 to the protest straight away, imo!
-
This could work, i think if you were to get this sort of recognition from people like Lawrie, Crouch, Benali, Armstrong it would add a more credence to the whole thing and people would be more likely to join in!
