  1. Nick he's in opposition, he's no different than David Cameron imo. I believe it's his job to speak out, he has been there, he has seen the accounts, he knows whats what within the club! I think we have a right to know that an offer to clear the overdraft was made, I also believe we have right to know it was turned down by Lowe and Wilde. Without Crouch speaking out we'd still be treated like mushrooms by the club! Note: how exactly can it hurt the club, surely what Crouch has done is told potential suitors that the club can be taken over for £6m??
  2. Read the article then you may realise why the 2 are being linked, after all "its a team of 4 who will work together and take responsibility for coaching all our players" Lowe, Wilde whoever can't make statements about it all being "a seamless link" and "all training the same way so players can simply slot in" then blame everything on Jan.!! Not in my opinion anyway! http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=10167
  3. Did he now, i was under the understanding that Crouch took over the chairmanship of Saints in December 2007 leaving his post in May 2008. Mr. Crouch loaned out the 2 highest earners brought in by Burley (who appointed Burley??) to cut costs, so maybe his name was on the final accounts but all the signings we're made in the summer before he took over, which would suggest he didn't run the overdraft up, if anything he was already cutting costs! Why would Crouch put £2m of his own money in the club with no others doing the same?? So Crouch puts in £2m only to see Wilde & Lowe saddle up together, bye bye £2m! Note: In the said accounts and Lowe's statements it states when lowe left there was £3.6m in the bank, this was the last parachute payment, so basicaly after 10 years in the job, a cup final, Europe 32k sell outs, massive player sells, premiership sponsorship and the only money left in the account was the final parachute payment, yeah your right, Crouch ran the club shockingly in his 5 months!!!!!
  4. More of a 'had' than 'if' ;-) I would also like to Pulis and Gasmi to prove me wrong, is it only Lowe that signs injured players? He seems to have a decent record in this field, Delgardo, Schneriden, Gasmi, Pulis, how much money has been wasted just on that little bunch!!
  5. Of course we wouldn't have got more in for that game, i don't blame fans for turning up for the glamour games and not the home league games, 1 win in 14 is terrible value. Remember mate, this is an entertainment business, we are being charged top dollar to watch second rate performers, wouldn't happen in any other entertainment. I mean, would you pay £55 pound to watch the 'silver Beatles' when last year you paid the same for 'The Beatles'??
  6. Saintjay I hear what your saying but it could be better, instead of Saints loaning/signing 15 poor players that can't get in the team then sub-sequently leave. We could of only signed 5, used the saving from the other 10 and made sure the 5 we'd signed we're better players and paying them more!
  7. ok just facts, we were in a simliar posistion last year and the crowds were better! I'd also question your "a lot of people ha already decided not to come this season" when I left the ground against Shef Utd i was buzzing, felt united actualy felt positive for this year, as did every single person I spoke to that day. everyone of my group was and had renewed until that day Lowe came back, I am the only 1 left from that group, fact!
  8. 16,836 now, bit the season total average won't be that high! 10 mates came with me against Doncaster so thats 10 of the season average straight away, they all paid £25 each for itchen North, 9 had 2 pints at half time, 5 had a pie and 1 soppy tw4t had a bovril. I didn't say in my post the ticket price was £25 each game, I said that 7k @ £25 each which would take into account a pie and a pint or chocolate bar & pepsi! Also your quite right about Crouch then not putting any money, i suppose you could argue that he'd of done the job anyway by reducing the overdraft to a manageable level??
  9. Just to clear a couple of points up so we can all deal in facts :- Plymouth - 17,806 Ipswich - 23,299 Leiccester - 17,741 Coventry - 22,014 Bristol - 22,890 Burnley - 21,762 Shef Utd - 31,086 Total = 156,5980 Average = 22,371 That equates to 7k more fans to each home game, averaging @ £25 per game = £175,000 which come the end of the season equates to an extra £4m+ coming into the coffers which apys 2 3rd's of the overdraft of, not to mention the £2m Crouch has personally offered!! Note: I'm not stupid enough to suggest everything would of been rosy under Crouch, just using the figures to make a point!
  10. You are of course right, my point is just because he succeeded here last time is no guarantee he'd succeed the second time. Is this no the same analogy people are using for Pearson "just because he's top of the league at Div 1 doesn't mean he'd be any better than Jan here"??
  11. Not completely 'hot air' though is it Colin. After all he's already said he'll put £2m in, that in it self clears 33.33% of the overdraft. I sincerely believe without Lowe & The Dutch experiment here we'd be averaging 21k, that's 6k more fans, averaging at £25 per game I'd say that's worth an extra £150k per home game equating to roughly £3.5m per season. I know its not quite as easy as that but surely you can see just by my crude math that's almost the overdraft paid of!
  12. I admire your honesty with regards to Hoddle, but it was not the fans that stopped Hoddle taking the job. Hoddle has very publicly stated that "had he had 100% backing from the board" then he'd of taken the job and worked "to win over the fans". As we all know, if Glen had come in and gone on a 13 match unbeaten run it'd of all been forgotten! Just to help you out a bit, as you've posted before about pearson "there's no guarantee he'd of done any better with our kids than Jan" well the same can be said about Hoddle, there is no guarantee he'd of saved us from relegation, he failed at both Spurs and Wolves!!
  13. I agree with most you say, espcially about them both being useless. I'd of never appointed either of them, the post is "was Jan Shafted" I still stand my the question! I mostly agree with your "Both appointments were retarded" Lowe is a Budgie!
  14. What like when Redknapp went to help out Rix or Venables helping out Robson?? Look mate, I'm not sayinf Wotte is anything to write home about, i'd never heard of either of them till thay came here. I'm questioning Lowe. Think about it for a bit, if Wotte is so highly regarded by Lowe, would you (as Lowe) bring him in when it was so bad, knowing he'd have to let everyone earning more than £15 a day go. Atleast this way Wotte can't fail, if we're relegated its Jans & Lowes fault, if we survive Wotte's a hero!
  15. Mate, honestly you couldn't be more wrong, Wotte does nothing for me at all, but when you compare the pairs record there is no comparison. The only reason I keep harping back to 3 years ago is because I can't work out whats changed in that time, Wotte is still Wotte, his record is still head and shoulders better than Jans. If Jan was some 37 year old just starting out I could sort of understand it, young man running around with a carming experienced head to fall back on!
  16. No cb, please answer the point, forget conspiracy. Why would Lowe place a man (Wotte) as reserve/academy manager, a man he wanted as manager only 3 years ago? If Wotte was Cruyff or Rickhards (sp?) assistant I could understand it, but the set up Lowe brought in would be like Stuart Pearce being Ian Bairds assistant!
  17. Your joking yea???
  18. What system is failing football the world over?? Every team worth its salt have an academy, teams up and down the country are promoting the youth (when ready). Lowe billed our system as "seamless" said all the teams (academy, u-18, reserves and first team) would play together, play the same system, same tactics, same formation so we could take any member of any team and they'd fit straight in, seamless. Now we've got the ex-reserve/academy coach saying "we'll play experience" and "we'll play 4-4-2" and "Jan was to rigid", which is it? one minute we're all part of the same team, one vision etc, next minute when things aren't working its all Jan "our new man has already changed training". We've also already had 2 senior players in tonights echo saying"change was needed"
  19. So your still reserving judgement on the dutch "total football" experiment? Does the fact were second bottom of the league, played 28, only won 6 scoring 24 and xhipping in a massive 42, the head coach has quit, the club is now saying we'll be usinug more experience (after 10 months of telling us the youth is the way) than Jan did, they are also saying we play 4-4-2, again after 10 months of being told that "our boyz can only play this way", wish they'd make up thier mind!!! Ps. Dutch experiment has failed!!
  20. Why, Crouch knew costs had to be cut so loaned out rasiak and Rudi last season, Lowe has already stated that Crouch was going to close the corners as well, which proves Crouch was prepared to make unpopular decisions. Crouch had the backing of the bank and note holder too, so on what basis do you suggest we'd "be bust" under Crouch???
  21. Why? I've asked this question a thousand times and no one has ever answered it, what has Crouch done wrong, please answer, please!
  22. Still doesn't add up, Wotte has stated if the club had picked him 3 years ago he'd of taken the job. Lowe has gone on record saying he wanted Wotte to take the job, so why, 3 years down the line not give him the job? Why employ him as reserve manager and employ a complete no one as head coach. The money thing does not add up either, if Lowe had just appointed Jan then yes, ok, but to employ both don't do it!
  23. Makes no odds if the DoF/academy director is paid less or not if your employing both of them!
  24. Wilde is spineless and is a weasel but i don't think its his mess (the finances etc he's got loads to answer to) every press release from players, managers, coaches etc all quote Lowe, they all say "I spoke to the chairman, Mr. Lowe and he said" they never, ever mention Wilde, he's only footy chairman in name, nothing else!
