You blame Pardew?? Funny really as Pardews last game see us score 4 and concede 0! I think the reason some (me) will have our doubts is because Pardew has more to offer, he's got the promotions, cup finals and premiership experience so without a full explanation from Cortese I cannot see how this is moving us forward!!!!

Your missing my point mate, what I'm trying to say is I hope Cortesse has a valid reason, even if we don't agree with it. Football is a different business, I'm not sure but I think I'm right in thinking that any approach for a player has to be done with the clubs permission? So Villa come knocking, Cortesse says no but Alan still talks = breach of contract?? I'm not saying this happened, what I am saying is I hope it was this otherwise we now have Lowe mark 2 in charge as for me Pardew was/is the best man for the job!

This isn't a set back, are you for real? We've just sacked our manager 1 day before the transfer window closes, we've just been knocked out of the cup, with the current morale we could be looking at another defeat Saturday so already playing catch up! We had a great chance of gaining automatic promotion this year but with this SET BACK it's looking unlikely! I dont believe Cortesse would of been right to sack Pardew last year BUT I would of begrudgingly accepted it, new man in, has the summer to build and remould but now, 3 games in is madness. To be honest i hope it is something Pardew has done, I hope he has been speaking to Villa or West Ham as then Cortesse has justification, because otherwise we are completely back to square one with the new Lowe!

Fair comment mate but I won't be holding my breath waiting for an explanation from Cortesse, we've had no explanation why the programme was pulled, why the payment plan was pulled, why no renewals were sent out etc....

I'll repeat - If, as you say Pardew had done something or said something out of order, then release a statement to that affect "Dear Supporters It is with great regret that I am writing to inform you all that I have released Mr. Pardew from his contract with immediate affect for gross misconduct. The exact context of this misconduct will and will always remain private to protect Mr. Pardew's, Southampton FC and my professional integrity" Why sack Downes and Murdoch for Pardews out burst? You cant blame us fans for speculating, especially after all the rumours of his immanent sacking last season!

Funny isn't it, any criticism of Cortesse is met with the same reply 'whingers' or 'what if he leaves'! You talk about acting with no regard to the consequences, maybe you should speak to Mr. Cortesse. You say you have a business, if this is true, surely, as a business man you appreciate the need for good communication with your customers, would you not explain a decision that affected the quality of your product/service? The compensation package has nothing to do with if we do or do not have a new manager in place, Pardew has a contract, he has been scaked, he is due compensation, regardless!

Mr. Pardew has by far a better record than any of the 3 managers you have mentioned above yet somehow, despite us being such an unattractive prospect for a 'big name' manager we managed to attract him here! Your boss finds the whole thing amusing because Crewe can only dream of being a club with the facilities, fan base and ambition of Saints, I couldn't even tell you who their manager is?

No Matthew Le Tissier is a football pundit, he is paid for his opinion about football in general and more importantly as an ex player with massive ties and loyalty to the club is a natural person for the media to turn to for an opinion! Instead of blindly following Cortesse and turning on a genuine FOOTBALLING legend maybe you should open your eyes and question some of Cortesse's decisions- No payment plan No season ticket renewal notices No photographers Car park charges No manager!!!!
