its gone beyond that stanley, the fans have been behind the team all season, 1 win in 16 at home. I don't believe anything could make them perform worse, not after lasts night showing anyway! This is a great idea as it will show that fans aren't put of by the weather or what other pr spin the club try and put on the attendance, as it would be clear from the numbers marching away from the stadium that's the fans are there but do not and will not support this board!

I've been speaking to a few lads today who think this is a good idea mate, espcially the bit about marching to a pub as opossed to marching away from it towards the ground. Just a couple of ideas for you:- 1. Call your site http://www.Saveoursaints.co.uk that way any protest we as a group decide to do can be advertised there, boycott, sit in, no burgers or beer etc. 2. venue and route-The Northam Club does cheap good beer and could hold a thousand, has a stage for any names to address the protesters and Sky so we could keep up with the game. Downside, have to charge £1 (i think) as its a private members club, I could talk to the steward and see if he could make a donation to a given charity from all the £1's, not a very long march but i suppose we could march down marine parade turn right just before the chaple arms right up to to the A33 dual carriage way, all the way up to the lights, turn right back towards northam club? http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=442561&y=111621&z=0&sv=442561,111621&st=OSGrid&lu=N&tl=Southampton,+St%20Mary's%20and%20Holy%20Trinity&ar=y&bi=~&mapp=map.srf&searchp=ids.srf 3. couple any protest with http://www.sthu.co.uk to show the board/Barclays that fans are leaving because of Lowe and Wilde and not the team performance. I'm going to speak to the other lads on STHU and see if we can turn the guest book into an online protest form where people can leave thier customer numbers and reason for not going or renewing.

Well done mate, excellent research, funny how this thread has come to an abrupt end though isn't it. No further comment from Nineteencanteen or Saintwarick, strange. Also strange is NineteenCanteens post count!

We don't need anyone who's going to take the Premiership by storm, WE ARE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP, all we need is someone to keep us in this league!!
-
Funny, the only thing some on here have against Crouch is that he didn't act quick enough in sacking Dodd and Gorman, they lasted 7 games, jan lasted 28 games, seems the anti-Lowe brigade are far more likely to give someone a chance. Also it was also 28 games before we heard an anti-lowe song @ SMS!
-
Thought it was just me that thought that, good man!
-
Oh grow up Thedelldays, go to a game mate and watch whats going on then come on here and make comments about how we are playing and the managers and your criticism of the fans. I mean, Jesus Christ the highlights haven't even been on the tv yet, so how can you criticize fans for questioning Wotte?
-
Fairly settled squad, the team were in free fall, as for a united fan base, yes I agree, I have been saying this for ages. We had a united fan base under Pearson and Crouch, how things have changed!
-
I don't get your point mate?? Burley & Redknapp are Lowe's men, Wilde is another Lowe man now he's in his bed, Crouch did what?? Just got back from St. Marys with my 2 kids, none of us can be arsed anymore, if this is what this "revolutionary coaching set up" brings you can keep it, 3 less season tickets for Lowe next year. As for Wotte, didn't see anything from him tonight, just pointing to the oppositions box. Blackwell (as much as i dislike him) was everywhere, kicking every ball, questioning every decision etc!
-
How can that be Pearsons downfall? How is supposed to know what the youth are capable of, he took over mid-season, he had 13 games left to keep us up. I can imagine the responce from you lot if we'd gone down and he'd used all the youth. Pearson played Lika, not youth but a player over looked by Burley, Pearson also played Llanana. He been part of the youth/u21 set up with England, newcastle and west brom, I see nothing to suggest Pearson wouldn't have mixed youth and experience this term! The final 13 games of last season was 100% not the time to experiment, maybe a pre-season like jp had could of proved different?
-
Are you sure Pearson had 45 games, sure it was only about 13, could be wrong but i'm sure it was no where near 45! Looking at the situation as it stands with Saints now, did we really need to let ALL the higher earners go? Did we really need to play all the kids? Again I could be wrong but looking at the team news for tonight only James had never played a senior game before this new "revolutionary set up" took over!! Note: I wasn't comparing Saints and Leiscter, i was asking what Pearson needed to do to impress the poster?

Nothing to do with hitting a nerve, just sick and tired of the fans getting it in the neck week in week out. Crouch and Wilde purchased thier shares from existing shareholders, some shareholders proxied thier shares, yes maybe said shareholders should of asked for clarification of Wildes plans, maybe Crouch should of asked the same question, but as for the fan in the stand taking responsibility for Wilde or the situation we now find ourselves in now is cr4p!
-
Crouch is not my hero, why the gay reference, are you homophobic??? For me out of the 3 Crouch is the best choice, just my opinion but there it is. Have you done any research to find out why Crouch waited to take a side, or is it just another homophobic Crouch slating thread. My feelings towards Lowe are based on his performance as CEO/Chairman over the last 8 years!
-
ooooh look another post blaming fans, pathetic! Wilde purchased his shares for £2m Crouch purchased his for £1.6m and teamed up with other shareholders to control over 60% of the shares, the subsequently called an EGM to remove Lowe, Lowe in turn waited till the day before said EGM waisting thousands of the clubs £'s before deciding to walk! I've come to the conclusion you are nothing more than a sh1t stirring stayaway! I have no problem with JohnnyFartPants or Nickh, we have different views on where and under who the club is heading, but your just on a wind up!
-
John it wasn't us Lowe haters who said they'd be going, it was the dark lord & Jan themselves that said players would be leaving in January to balance the books. In reality, as Wotte himself said yesterday that all the offers were ridiculously low with teams trying to take advantage of our financial position, guessing by that if a decent offer had come in we'd of lost someone! Please don't misread my post, obviously I'm more than happy no one has left, just saying I think it was down to low offers as opposed to Lowe resistance!
-
So its just bull**** then from the club again then? Saints police bill set go increase by £60k because of the crowd trouble at the Doncaster game! I said at the time of the article it was crap but i'm regulary told on here thats there is no pr spin from the club!

He'd be the lead role in Jeepers creepers, sucks the life out its victims the just leaves the empty, dead carcase!

Not impressed with Wotte "Fans are very easy with their judgement"

I think the bottom line is ultimately we all want the same thing, we all want success for our great club, the problem is we all have different opinions on how we get there! -

Look Nick, I've told you once and I'll tell you again, there is no room on this forum for civil debate. I'm anti-Lowe and as such I'm a knuckle dragger with less than average intelligence with a mental age of 8, where's my window to lick, I'm confused! -
Back to if's and but's though mate, Crouch didn't wait one more game and history will show it wasn't to late. I would question why Jan should afforded 23 games yet Dodd & Gorman not even 1??
-
So crouch "just got lucky" with Pearson's appointment yet we're supposed to give Lowe credit for Strachan, come on mate you can't have it both ways! I agree Lowe should be given credit for overseeing our move to St. Mary's also the cup run but equally if he is to be credited for the success he should be criticised for the failures, that is where I am now, criticising his failures, Stoneham, 11 managers, 3 in one season, quantity not quality in the playing staff, wasting money we didn't have on his experiment with SCW, his new experiment with the "revolutionary coaching set up" sitting 2nd from bottom now!
-
Nick in fairness to Crouch he realsied he made a mistake in appointing Dodd & Gorman and acted by installing Pearson. For all the if's, but's and maybe's Pearson did keep us up! Crouch rectified his mistake after 9 games it took Lowe 28 games, if Crouch had waited that long we'd already be playing in Div 1.

Nick that is all any of us really want, if Wotte is a success on the pitch then i for one will be happy. As I've said before one of the problems with Wotte he is seen, rightly or wrongly, as part of the new "coaching revolution". I for one find it hard to distinguish between Jan and Wotte simply because of all the pr spin coming from the club during thier much trumpeted arrival. All this "seamless training" and "the 4 coaches take collective responsibility for training" is fine but now it's failed we're all expected to believe that Wotte had no input in training, the last 9 months has all been Jans fault. Also find it a bit disingenuous to be told for the last 9 months that "our boys can only play this way, they haven't trained for 4-4-2" only for us to revert to 4-4-2 only 45 mins into Wotte's first game, but I don't want him to fail just because i think it will hasten Lowe's exit. I do feel Lowes position would become untenable should Wotte fail, but I do not put my dislike of Lowe above and before the club! -
Don't worry, we've still got Pulis though!
