Lots of skeletons coming out of the cupboard now..
St. Jason replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
To be honest Alpine, instead of blaming Barclays for not signing a loan player maybe we should be looking at Lowe, Jan & Wotte for wsting all the money that Barclays allowed us to spend on loan/permanent signings on- Gasmi, Pekhart, Robertson, Forecast, Pulis, Schneriden, Smith, Molyneax etc. Matbe Barclays just thought enough was enough?? -
So shall we put you down as undecided??? ps. NO!

Lowe & Richards in board room on Sunday at Forest....Confirmed by Club
St. Jason replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
I've struggled to motivate myself this season Nick to be honest, a couple of times I've met mates in the pub who weren't going to the game and ended up staying in the pub. I know its bad and I know i shouldn't get all caught up in the politics but for me the politics and the football are inextricably connected. -

Yes, because with Lowe at Southampton, for me there is no Saints! I will not return if he comes back to our club. He's taken a wage for taking this club to league 1 and administration. Us fans have been asked to dig deep in our own pockets to just make it to the end of the season, now your questioning our support if we choose not to return if he comes back! -

To be honest Nick if Lowe was to return I'd left with no club anyway! I've had my season ticket for 20 years and I'll be renewing again this year, but not if Lowe, Wilde, Askham or Richards are involved. As some one else pointed out, Lowe has been paid this year to take us into league 1 and administration, not only that us fans are now being asked to dig deep just to get to the end of the season, how sickening would it be to see that smug tw4t now come back and make another fortune out of us! -

Looking at this video i'd say it came from the away end THEN returned by the Saints fans!!!
-
Not forgetting you would get smoke from lighting it, holding it for a few seconds then actually throwing!!!! Again nothing to sat it hadn't landed there first!
-
Just to give everything a little bit of balance http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=12664 Not trying to justify anything, just trying to point out that not all the Burnley fans were that "lovely" in fact they weren't even all Burnley fans!
-
Good photo's, shows very little violence, goading on both sides yes, violence no. Also looks as though the smoke bomb is coming from the away end, nothing to say that it hadn't been thrown in there first, just that in the pics it is clearly coming from that end!
-
I hope and pray that Mr. Fry & Co would look on that as a non-starter as it would kill the club. If he returned i'd never set foot back into St. Marys, I realise people get slated for statements like that but I don't care, a sfc that includes Lowe is not a sfc i'd support. You've only got to look at this season gates of 14,15,16 k under lowe, he leaves and we get gates of 21,22,23 & 27k!!!

Wasn't much uproar when Villa invaded the pitch and BROKE the post's at the Archers road, can't remember Villa being docked points or being fined? I'm not saying your wrong, infact if they were breaking the posts your 100% right, just saying I feel things need to be put into perspective! Note; Don't the goal posts just pull out of wholes in the ground????
-
A fair comment mate, all I'm saying is just because someones been caught up with the emotion of the day doesn't make them "not real fans". I'd hope that majority of said fans woke up yesterday morning thinking "why the f**k did I get involved with that", you'll always get a few that will feel that thier actions were merited because they were "fighting for thier club" but that will be such a small minority mate! I personally know loads of lads that have been in the thick of trouble over the years, they may not be your cup of tea but, they are as true a Saints fan as you and I. I've never known them to start on anyone who wasn't out looking for trouble themselves (except 1 lad but he got a slap from said lads for doing so). Its not a group that i often associate with anymore as I don't want to get involved, pie, pint and chips for me, Northam club after the game, taxi home and asleep on the sofa by 8, which really, really p1sses the wife as I snore through Britain's got talent, who wouldn't snore!!!
-
Why get involved though Janet??? You open yourself up to abuse or worse. I can only comment on your photo's, yes there are kids climbing the net but, again only my opinion, it looks like they are climbing the net to sit on the goal posts. I'm not saying they should be allowed on the goal posts or even the pitch for that matter, just trying to keep it all in a little perspective. Fans did confront the goading (sp) Burnley fans, Derby fans confronted us at pride park, cardiff fans assualted the ref, Wolves fans invaded at Barnsley, I just feel that on this site in particular, we are constantly blowing things completely out of proportion and are hanging our own fans out to dry!!! aimo of course.

I think your right with regards to the anti-police lobby (which I'm not part of) I saw a picture in the Gaurdian last week of the protest, a skin head bloke of some 15-18 stone had his hands around a female officers throat, his face contorted with hate and anger, yes batton charge, cs, taser him but, does a go slow protest really warrant a batton roand the head/back????
-
Read my post again please mate. My comments are made to another poster who said he could understand why Burnley fans threw stuff back at Saints fans. My point was to him justifying Burnley fans actions but slating Saints fans, I clearly say that I think any coin throwing is out of order!
-
But you are though mate, your saying anyone involved with any trouble are not "true fans"! I'd disagree, I've been caught up in trouble before, had no interest in trouble but found myself in the middle of it. I've been a season ticket holder for 25 years, I've seen us loose to Oldham at Boundary Park on a tuesday night, seen us get dicked away to newcastle, man utd, sheffield, norwich, liverpool, portsmuff etc etc. Am I not a true fan just because i've been a knob before? I'd like to think I'm as good or bad a fan as the next man. Football is a passionate, emotive game, with passion you'll see every emotion, laughter, tears, sorrow, jubilation and yes, sometimes anger Obviously all imo!
-
So the club, and the police knew there was skate there, they knew there was a hi posibility of trouble yet you slag of our own fans!!! Yes there was trouble, not a great deal imo, but to call the people involved scum and not true fans is, imo harsh!
-
So on one hand your saying violence is out of order then on the other your slagging them of for not actually getting into the Burnley lot and "throwing stuff from behind police lines". So from you point of view would it of been ok if 100 lads ploughed thru the police lines straight into Burnley?? All a bit confusing!
-
Man utd don't have a hooligan problem, mate your not for real are you? Do you just drive to games at 12.30 with your flask, final whistle wait to watch the players warm down, then straight back in your car then home? Jesus, Man Utd best fans with no hooligans, ffs!! http://www.mefeedia.com/entry/hooligans-everton-v-man-utd-2005/6565188 http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/static/in_depth/programmes/2002/hooligans/diary/manchester_united.stm If you don't look at the other 2 at least read this one http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2007/10/19/man-utd-fans-top-table-for-hooliganism-115875-19975578/ lets keep things in perspective ay, ffs!
-
Yes, quite right. just when the club really needs money, lets ban everyone! Look, I;m not for 1 minute saying hooliganism should be tolerated, just saying lets get a little bit of balance!
-
So, he may of been "walking along slowly" so hit him, maybe kill him, but yea "he deserves it" for walking, sorry "ambling along, hands in pocket", ffs wake up man. Yes, fifght fire with fire, but do you reall y think he deserves to DIE for "ambling along"?
-
Sorry Janet but yo me it seems like your jumping on the band wagon, from your photo's I can't see anyone "pulling down the goal posts" or "ripping the netting down"! Sorry flower but i really can't see what your talking about, I can see a young lad sat on the cross bar, but thats it! It would be really interesting to compare photo's of last years last game and this years, would be interesting to see if anyone sat on the cross bar last year??? Then again, that wouldn't be a story would it?
