FFS what is it with you people??? Surely a fan, customer going to a shop to purchase a advertised product is entitled to complain, moan whatever if part of the product isn't there? I have kids, and my friends have kids and they (kids) all love wearing the whole kit to the games! Why can't a FELLOW fan make a just complaint without all you 'uber super' fans knocking him, slating him for daring to make any statement against the club? It's not just this thread, it's every f@%$ing thread where anyone speaks out against the club. Fine, if you 'uber super' fans are happy to take everything the club throws at you, pay all the increases etc that's cool, but if some aren't they are perfectly entitled to voice said opinion! If nothing else, regardless of what you think, it is a poor show the club not having the socks, and again regardless of what you think, i'm sure NC will be p!ssed that this has happened, every product sold goes towards Saints be a self sufficient business! Just give fellow fans a break, he's not calling for 'heads to roll' saying this is 'another Cortesse' **** up, simply a thread saying he was gutted he couldn't by the full kit!! Rant over, i'll just leave you super duper fans to bask in the light you shine on yourselves.................super duper!

Not a lot really Block 5, nothing more than I would expect from any other service provider really, just expect a little respect as a customer, to be spoken to honestly and like an adult and feel wanted! To be honest over the last 12-15 months I don't feel the club has respected me, communicated with me or wanted me! All we have had is pretty much, this is it, like it or lump it! If any fan on here ever dared to comment against nc or even question any of his decisions, said fan is met with "no pleasing some people" or the exact "if you don't like, lump it" response! With that in mind it seems a little hypocritical to lable yesterday's attendance as "poor showing" maybe some fans just lumped it?? Now, in return can you please elaborate on the "no pleasing some people" Kind regards, Jason

Please elaborate?

To be honest and I know Im not alone here, there's just something not right at the club, I don't feel valued as a customer. All the prices are up, tickets up 40%, Dell cafe membership up by £13, free parking down to 15 mins, hardly reaching out and attracting me! No explanation for costs, no communication regarding anything, just a post on the os saying 'this is the cost and it's on sale now!' no early bird no nothing! I understand the people on here that say 'you know it's coming @ some point so be prepared' and 'the club does not need the money now day's' but it's hardly good business, look after your customers and your customers will look after you, after all it wasn't that long ago the club was disperate for us to re-new our tickets just to stay in business!! Also I really, really don't like the constant back slapping and self gratifying posts on the os, Nicola has done this, Nicola has done that, Nicola has been great!! I'm not saying Nicola hasn't done some good, but do we really need Barnard etc peddling club propaganda? It will be interesting to see the crowds and season ticket sales!

I suppose you could also ask the question "How often is there a 45 min wait to get served for your £550 purchase at La Senza?" I think the big difference with town and St. Mary's is, when you go to town you may well park in West Quay but whilst your there you may pop over to HMV and Primark, take a walk up to Yates for a pint, bit of food in Bella Pasta before carrying your bags back to West Quay, where you suddenly remember your travel money so quickly run down to Holiday Hyper market then back to your car! Where as when you go to St.Mary's you, well, erm shop at St. Mary's!!!!!

Honetly??? If i went to pick up my grandchildren (yes I am that old, I have 2) and my daughter had suited them in their Saints kit and I was planning on going to Gun Wharf (extremely unlikely that I would go there anyway) I would do either - A. say " come on Kayz change the kids you know were going to Portsmuff" B. Change my plans and go to Winchester. Not being a coward but just wouldn't expose my loved one to any potential danger!!!!
-
Yes, stoning cars etc is bang out of order but, I agree with other posters, why let your kids wear that filth in Southampton?? Makes my blood boil when I see it in West Quay. A couple of years back I was working on the co-op roof next to Portsmuff train station, our vans were stoned because we had 'Tel- Southampton' wrote on them!!! Like I said, not justifying the incident with the car, just questioning the family's thinking by letting the kids wear the tops?? I know in an ideal world we should all be able to wear what we like, where we like, but its not an ideal world!!!

The refusal to sell a season ticket at Southampton FC
St. Jason replied to lenwilkins's topic in The Saints
How on earth are we closer to having a football club where we don't hear about our chairman? This season we've heard nothing but negative press from our chairman! Our Chairman quietly supports our manager, are you sure???? I seem to remember that he sacked a manager who was doing pretty well only 4 games into this season! I do however agree with you that we are all entitled to our own opinion, just don't like it when fans, fellow supporters say they "couldn't care less" that one of our own was barred from renewing their ticket! -
Absolute bullsh1t my friend, there is no way the club would even now that fact, cr4p, cr4p, cr4p! And yes I can blame the club for withdrawing the instalment plan, there were many other options the club could have taken. They could have easily set up a plan in March for 5 instalments, March, April, May, June and july, if the 5th payment hasn't cleared don't send the season ticket or, if they are going to withdraw said plan give me more than 4 weeks notice to find £700!!!!!

The refusal to sell a season ticket at Southampton FC
St. Jason replied to lenwilkins's topic in The Saints
So you couldn't care less???? What a great fellow fan, supporter you are! I'm not a fan of Nick, I think he got way to involved in the politics of our club BUT, and it's a massive B U T why on earth should a loyal fan and I mean loyal fan be barred from renewing his season ticket? I find your attitude towards a fellow fan more offensive than anything Illingsworth has ever done! I've read this sort of post quite a bit here recently and i find it quite worrying! Yes Mr. liehberr purchased our club, yes Mr. Cortesse is "the Family's" employee intrusted to run our club but, do we have to blindly nod and agree with everything they do?? Were the 1. season 2010/11 ticket renewasl handled well. 2. The echo ban handled well. 3. The press picture ban handled well. 4. The independent 125 year birthday bash handled well (i found the clubs stance really embarrassing) The Liehberr take over of course was welcome, massively welcome, but that does not mean every decision should be agreed with. and more importantly if you are not in agreement you be able to A. Allowed to voice your opinion and B. not be banned for voicing (unless offensive) said opinion Obviously, all in my own opinion! Up the Saints -
I'll look at the video, no problem at all, sorry, just read it as he was banned for drinking, didn't realise there was a charge of violent conduct to!
-
I agree he knew the rules and deserved to be thrown out for breaking said rules, even banned for the season but, does he really deserve a 3 year international banning order???
-
Many thanks, we're staying in Putney so'll check your suggestions against location. Cheers! Up the Saints

I'm in London this weekend celebrating a couple of mates 40th, looking for a good pub to watch us beat Utd. Probably about 12 of us, all massive Saints fans!! Ps. Before the usual suspects start the normal slating of fellow fans, I'm not going to the match because I don't like being charged £30 to watch a league 1 side and I don't like being I told I MUST attend the Carlisle game!

Loan players aren't the answer, but we're missing Chaplow??????
-
This sort of statement really hacks me of, why's it all ways our fault?? Strachan was Liked as was Hoddle, Pearson and Pardew. Sturrock, we didn't even get a chance to try him before Lowe acted, JP & Wotte???? I defy any fan to find something positive to say about that whole fiasco. Now we have Adkins! For me the biggest problem I have with him is he is, in no way a step up from Pardew. It's only an opinion but I don't for one minute believe we'd be struggling if he was still here, I think we'd be easily top 2! Whats Pardew, Gillet, Mill's and Puncheon got in common???? None were good enough for Saints yet they are all good enough for better teams than ours!!!!
-
Fair comment mate, would still say it's relative, turnover, fans cost!!!
-
Its all relative though Matt isn't it? For it to cost us £2m would mean a cost of £62.50 per seat meaning Southend would of had to pay £781,250 on that basis, so not that cheap when you consider each clubs respective turnover!!!!
-
The average may well be up but surely you can also see that the attendance has dropped alarmingly since AP's departure, this will undoubtedly change once Adkins gets the results he craves, just hope the results come, and come soon as SMS is not an exciting place to be at the min!
-
The reason Mr. Cortese got stick from loyal season ticket holders like myself was because of his decision and more notably his complete lack of communication and notification of his plans leaving me (season ticket holder for 21 years) and my son (season ticket holder for 4 years) unable to re-new! Also where is the proof of this supposed fraudulent activity? There may have been some fans who cancelled the DD, but how would anyone know they were still using the tickets, and where has this figure of 300 come, telling a couple of fans over dinner is one thing but actually releasing details via an official statement seems to be beyond him/the club!
-
Not so much the teams performance, i've seen a lot worse and still came back for more, it's more the self harm our club is inflecting on it's self, avoidable damage, turning the press against us, making it harder to get tickets, turning fans of. I love Saints but I'm at the age now where I question things, is it a product I need??? At the moment I do not find myself needing my fix, which is sad as I've always worked the week counting down the days till the game, last Saturday i went camping and didn't miss SFC!
