I really think this topic is a case in point, actually listen to the interview before commenting!! I just did exactly that, listened to it. Le Tiss spoke excellently, glowing review of Saints, the team, the performances under Tino. When pushed on Cortesse he simply said we dont get on BUT im not hereto talk about that, things will come out in their own time as to why we dont get on BUT im no different to any fan, when the teams doing well thats all we care about! Matt is a pundit, this is how he earns a living, his opinion is sought after. He's no different to any other pundit, i dont see anything in that interview that puts Matt in a bad light, or Cortesse for that matter, move on! A club without history is Wigan! They are doing brilliantly but you cannot just invent a supporter base, this is one of the reasons they struggle to get crowds. Saints have the history, 76, Keegan, Channon, Ball, Shearer, Le Tiss etc etc, this creates a fan base, my dad goes, takes me, i take my kids, they take their kids, history is just as important as the present & the future, need to respect it all, its hard to have one without the other! AIMHO!!!!

I normally like your posts but can you not see the hypocrisy within your post? Your slating Pardews loyalty yet, he was sacked by us, we'd never know if he'd stayed as he was given the chance!!! I for one believe we would have done very well under Pardew, how some can say we'd still be in league 1, to me, is quite baffling! Again, only in my opinion I felt at the time that Pardew was ideal not only to get us to where now are but more importantly, keep us here! The whole thread is pointless though isnt it really, you (general not OB) say red, I say white, no one has a clue how it would, could have gone under Pardew. one thing for sure is, it doesnt matter what the happy clappy NC does no wrong, red & white blinkered fans say, Paedew is most definitely doing it for Newcastle! I bet the ones knocking Pardew are the same ones who were knocking Pearson, again, at the moment, he's doing pretty well there too! Anyway, hoping beyond hope big Nige has learnt something from the last 8 games & a good win is on the cards Sunday :-)

Why, when anyone dares to question things, are the questioners labeled as having "an agenda"? Why can't I or whoever simply be concered about the team I love & supports failings? So everyone that questions NC is wrong, the chap (blackmore?) raised his fears back in August, he's wrong? MLT has questioned NC, he's wrong? The programme sellers are wrong? The chap who's had his stall closed is wrong? The fans that moaned about having their corporate seats changed are wrong? The newspapers that refused to pay for saints media are wrong? In fact everyone is wrong except NC because........he saved our club!!!! I agree NC has been better for the club than worse, but that does not excuse him from criticism, at least it shouldn't anyway! If this is all down to NA then he should be judged by it. In that case his team is failing, his transfer activity has been poor, he identified the defence to be strengthened and actually made it weaker! He signed so many forwards we actually had to let a recent signing go out on loan! Yes NA deserves massive credit for the last 2 season, but if your praising the good, you must also crtitisise the bad, surely???

Just read that blog, very interesting & scary!!!! There wasn't many lads up our pub yesterday singing NA's praises, general opinion was "time to go" but what's the point in that if all the decisions are made above him? The last 2 years he's proved he's a good manager, NC needs to let go, let the manager manage, let him pick the team, the tactics etc. as NA says he "lives & dies" by decisions, lets hope it's his decisions!!

Matt needs to grow, really? He, like every other customer purchased his adult ticket, he was working yesterday so gave it to a mate (like I have done for the villa game) when he tried to use it he was denied entry!! If Matt had passed on a child or complimentory ticket then I'd say fair enough, but an adult ticket passed to an adult, can't see a problem?? I'd suggest it is in NC that needs to grow up! As for Matty been out of order going public, why shouldn't he? He's on twitter & felt, feels aggrieved, I'd go public as I'm sure would if, like Matt you felt ******ed of!!

We spoke about this at great length yesterday and we all agreed, it's not fox playing badly, it's NA's system not working! For some reason NA is asking him to double up with the centre back which is leaving the left side totally exposed! It's got to be a managerial order to pull inside and help Fonte out, otherwise NA would be screaming (like we were) to get out on the wing! Who was it out there, Anderson? He had the easiest game of his life! All in our opinion obviously!! Ref?? Haven't seen it on tv BUT, how the f;) was that a pen? Thought the first rule was watch the movement of the ball???

Only problem with the Harefield flag is the size, great for Bucharest but apparently "to big" for Wembley!!!!!!!!

Absolutely nothing to do with footie Charlie, but it is to do with SFC! One, could argue your post is pointless, why post if you don't like?? This is something I really don't understand, it's not law you have to post, if it's a subject that doesn't interest you, simply leave! Thursday afternoon my friend was cooking for Cortesse, he wanted lunch in a box & was promptly served in said box. He decided he didn't like the view so moved, fair enough you'd think, then he re-ordered as he wanted fresh food, he did this a further 2 times! Finally he found a box he liked, then he changed his mind about the menu, so, 4 lunches cooked!! Really???? Mr. Lungs Please re-read post, please! Nowhere have I called for protest, just simply said that surely as a consumer we can complain about a product, is that not every consumers right? As I said in my post (please re-read) I don't buy the kits so doesn't personally affect me so this grown man will not be wetting himself! Finally, I was indeed instrumental, and very proud to have been part of the flyby, but had nothing to do with "duck off" and difinately had nothing to do with any super fan on the board! John, jake & myself just felt passionately that change was needed at our club, so unlike a lot of posters on here put our head above the parapet. We didn't sit behind a computer anonymously attacking people. Whatever you or anyone says, we said we'd do a flyby, many said we couldn't, when it was called off because of the weather the same posters mocked but, it did fly & we did what we said we would!!

David, I think you missed my point mate, the point you've just made is in fact my point! We have done fantastic this season, but in my humble opinion to make that final push we do need a experienced player, a Billy Sharpe, Hooper sort of player and now!

Frank you make some good points and I agree with most/part of your post except the transfer bit, both you and Nige contradict yourselves! On one hand you say we are moulding young players to play the Southampton way and we were told this would be the policy at the outset. Then we bid for Sharpe, Rodriguez and hooper! NA says its vital that there is a path for the youth to get to the first team (which I agree with) then he brings in Falque (sp) on loan, so not only stopping our youth but also going against the (moulding) point as he's only on loan! Some of the football this year has been magic, some has been good but some has also been garbage. The problem (for me) is its gone in that order and at the moment he seems to have no answer! RL, AL, & Jose' have only been missing for the last 3 weeks, this slide has been going on for the last 8! I also agree with you about our initial targets this year, I hoped for mid to higher end of the table with a push for the play offs coming at the end. But when you've had the start we've had, and lead the race for 4 months and Nigel openly saying "we want to win this race" you have to (IMO) push on, make that "marquee" signing that NA told us he's after and give it your all! This isnt doom & gloom but I honestly can't see us making more of a push next year, I've seen no evidence of Cortesse bank rolling a promotion charge, he hasnt this season, when only a small (£6-8m) would of seen us romp it! All obviously in my own opinion! Up the saints!

This something me and my mates commented on, I can't remember the question posed by the reporter but Aidkins squirmed and a side step David Cammeron would of been proud of! It didn't just seem to Na though, to me, watching on the tv the whole team seemed lost, devoid of any focus, confidence, direction and leadership! This is not to say with the return of Lambert and Llanna next Tuesday we don't go on to stomp all over Cardiff, but this performance has been coming for ages, this hasnt just happened its been coming since the beginning of December! If the man in the stand can see it, if the man in the stand can see you loose Lambert, Llanna & Fonte we're fooked with no cover, why has no cover been brought in? Don't forget it's just January, we had the entire summer, the loan window and now the best part of January to bring in cover!

Mr. Cortesse is a very, very well paid employee, i'm happy to say he is doing a good job, WE are top of the league but he is far from perfect!!

Hang on, have we not just lost Chamberlane??? Our traditional relegation battles were in the top flight, so in fairness we are still looking up, and in till we are top of the Premiership we will continue to look up!! Yes the club is stable and i'm loving seeing us TOP of the league but, that does not mean we cannot question Cortesse. Car park charges, ticket tax, on-line tax, last years withdrawal of the instalment plan, banning the press, becoming "southcoast club" no fans forum etc etc etc, we are customers and no matter what you say, in any other industry the customer would revolt!!!! Dickson and Martin were on the bench, either of them would have done imo, if Dickson wasn't fit to play he wasn't fit to play! Martin is a right footed defender!! All I'm saying is, Cork didn't work @ right back, and more importantly we missed him massively in the middle, all obviously in my opinion!

I agree with what you are saying but do not feel it's Kelvin you should be moaning at, this is obviously a directive from NA. I like NA 'total football' philosophy, in theory, but it was plane yesterday that sometimes there is a need to hoooooooooooof it! Jack Cork @ right back, massive error in my opinion, kept getting pulled out of position, and it was from his side both goals came from, also, again only in my opinion we missed him massively in the middle. Feel NA got away with it yesterday!!

Funny enough we were saying the same yesterday! We were in a box and 4 lads had 3-1 with odds of 12-1, wasn't tell we were chatting in the pub yesterday that we found out that all the outside bookies were paying 18-1, also the lady book maker didn't really know what she was doing, had to remind her I wanted change, one lad had £40 for 3-1 @12-1 and we had to do the maths for her, which wasnt that easy after drinking all day :-)
