Also not helped by the number of Arsenal supporters sat all around the stadium - there was certainly a fair few near us in the Itchen North. Combine that with supposed home fans who clearly hadn't been to any football match in the past 10 years and it's hardly surprising the atmosphere was low key.

Excellent news, a great prospect for the future. But what about his watch ?
-
Likewise - thought he was faultless and about as confident as I've ever seen him in a Saints shirt.
-
Let that sink in for a mo.
-
Seriously ?
-
Have they smashed their glass ceiling yet ?
-
Maybe not - isn't Sports Personality of the Year being filmed live ? I suspect most (if not all) of the MOTD team are there.

I was one of those who chose to stay silent at the final whistle. Plenty of booing from some around me, as is their prerogative, although I don't agree with it and fail to see what it achieves. Thought Long's dismissal to the travelling fans at the death was equally petulant and unnecessary. All in all, a dreary, dismal and thoroughly disappointing 90 minutes of football. Still, it was soon forgotten about 30 seconds after we landed in the first of many bars we frequented in Old Town that night.

Bit late to this thread but we booked with Wizz Tours a week or so ago. Three of us, out of Luton on Wednesday night, back on Friday late afternoon, two nights in a self-contained apartment in Prague Old Town. ~£175 per person - return private transfers included. We had tried to book exactly the same trip via Expedia but, at the point of purchase, they tried to increase the price by about £100 per person. Sod that. Went direct to Wizz Tours and got it slightly cheaper than the original Expedia price.

Steven Davis signs new three-year deal until 2019

So valuable to the team - really pleased he's signed up. -
This one ? If so, I don't see much wrong with that - he's saying exactly what he thinks he's expected to say..

Just how far do they think this reported £100m war-chest is going to spread ? Bearing in mind the amount of dead wood in their squad that needs to chopped out and replaced, they probably need to set their sights a little lower than FF or Schmeicel. Perhaps we should let them bully us into handing over Paolo.

And yesterday a cousin from Liverpool sent me a series of excited texts swearing blind that Koeman was up there having talks at that very moment. It's all speculation and conjecture until there's an official release from the club.

They were clearly waiting for promotion to be confirmed before announcing ticket prices for next season. Such a shame Pricelist B needed to be called upon after countless plucky hearts were so cruelly broken by those wicked bullies at Plymouth.

Not eaten there for about 5 years, but The Flowerpots at Cheriton is worth a look - their own ales are brewed on the premises and are superb.

Of all the players we've signed over the past few years, he was the one I really wanted to see go on to become a true world class player. Like others, I was buzzing when I heard he'd signed and saw it as a real statement of intent from the club - and I certainly wasn't disappointed after watching him in his first few games. But, for reasons unknown, he just seemed to go more and more off the boil, and never really came back. I only see Middlesbrough as a stop-gap until the end of the season. If he's then off to Penarol (or one of the Italian clubs come in for him), I really hope it serves to re-ignite his career.

And by quite some margin.

Both. I know a couple of people in the trade who use Howdens a lot, one of whom arranged a home visit from one of their sales team. No issue with anything they did, I just preferred the experience with Wren - from initial consultation through choosing the kitchen type, the design, the home visit and price negotiation. And whilst I had no intention of playing one off against the other, having a Howden's quote clearly on show when the Wren guy popped round may well have helped the haggling process !

We recently ordered a complete kitchen from Wren - they have a store at West Quay. Units are supplied pre-assembled and seem to be very good quality. Initial consultation & design at their showroom followed by a home visit for final measure up - both were effortless. Delivery was exactly when they said it would be. Their prices are already very competitive, but we managed to secure a sizeable further discount (plus free units and worktop for a utility room) before handing over a deposit. We've not had it fitted yet (that's 2 weeks away) but, so far at least, I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

Viewed through blue specs, one simply ignores that minor technicality and focuses on the fact that they actually made an operating profit of £118k. Move along, nothing to see here.

It appears the company that provided credit facilities for the PDT 'shareholders' to pay on tick has just gone into administration. The island dwellers truly do have the gift of the reverse Midas Touch.. http://ebcu.co.uk/

Bullseye is long gone, along with The Target, Elephant & Castle and Chamberlain. Robin Hood is still going, as are the Gardeners & The Plough.

In fairness, the £3.85m figure is inclusive of all club staff whereas the SCMP limit of 55% applies to player wages only.
-
AIUI, the money became payable as soon as planning approval had been granted - from there on in, it didn't matter whether a store was built or not.

Warming up nicely on some of their messageboards..
