The pricing is what I expected and reasonable for Premiership football. I just wish they would announce which games they are linking for priority booking well in advance. I've got flights booked for the Spurs game and no doubt 2 weeks before the Villa or Fulham game they will announce it's linked with Spurs and will be too late for cheaper transport costs

Cheers for the info . Virgin are normally 2 weeks behind East Coast advance tickets going on sale and I'm glad I saw your post. I managed to get TWO yes TWO returns Glasgow to Kirkdale for under £30. Its on google that Goodison is a 15min walk from Kirkdale Station. Now fingers crossed I manage to get tickets for the away end ?

Scottish football has been up sh*t creek for years. Why do you think I spend a fortune following Southampton every season. If there was quality up here I'd go and watch it but I'm afraid to say that it stinks. This MAY be what Scottish football needs, restructuring, cutting its cloth and playing youths rather than overated foreigners who can't make it down south

When you mention fairness to other clubs, I wouldn't bring Airdrie United into the equation. Airdrie went the same way as Rangers but they bought over Clydeank who were also in administration at the same time but with much less debt than Airdrie. They then renamed Clydebank to Airdrie United and moved the club to Airdrie. Clydebank no more. I've mentioned on other threads, If Southampton had been liquidated and expelled from the league and a few seasons later the same happend with Portsmouth but their NEWCO was allowed to stay in the league because they were a "BIG" club. We would be up in arms. This SPL (Self Preservation League) has been mismanaged for years, The league has been restructured numerous times to suit when "BIG" teams look likely to be relegated. They demanded a 10,000 seat stadium rule to keep smaller teams from getting promoted when stadiums in the SPL struggled to attract 4,000 crowds. Rangers should be placed in the non league where Gretna were put a few seasons back because as a NEWCO they couldn't provide financial statements for a 3 year period. If there are rules in place for Gretna then these same rules should be in place for Rangers and Scottish footballl should cut its cloth accordingly.

Prem Season - Man City first up!!

Do you think this game will make general sale? -
Beckham has been a great servant for England, but hasn't played top league football for several years. He wasn't good enough for the England squad in Poland and Ukraine so why is he good enough to represent Team GB. as for Giggs and Bellamy, they are still playing Premiership football and doing it very well. They haven't made a big tournament with Wales in their careers, so here is their opportunity. Seb did retire 20 odd years ago, he's past it and obviosly I was being facetious. Beckham should now realise he is.
-
You could say the same about Seb Coe for the 800m, I'm sure he would have loved to be part of the team but lets face it BOTH of them are well past it

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012%E2%80%9313_UEFA_Europa_League Spurs go straight into the group stage and match day 3 of the groups is on Thurs 25 October so the game will be moved from Sat 27th to Sunday or Monday
-
Any order at the top for Man u, Man C and Chelsea and the 3 Ws to go down, West Ham, Wigan and West Brom
-
I'm sure Spurs go straight into the group stage, so the game on 27 Oct will be moved

There have been many problems with ticketing in the past few seasons and with more demand for tickets now that we are PREMIER LEAGUE, I hope they are better prepared. The club need to realise that not all Southampton fans live in Southampton. If they are going to link home games then they should announce it at the start of the season or as early as possible so travel arrangements can be made, rather than have to buy tickets for a game that you cannot make just to have priority for tickets for a game that travel tickets have been purchased . There needs to be better communication between the ticket office and whoever updates the web site. There have been occasions where the web site has stated that a game has sold out and it has later been posted on this forum that tickets are still on sale. Sell away tickets as soon as practicable rather than a week before the game for general sale, this again would save on travel costs. It’s only fair that season ticket holders have priority to away tickets but not fair when they can have 2 tickets.

Could any of these pre season games be linked to some sort of sweetener on a transfer deal? Adomah, Jarvis, Lodiero and AN other

Bart will go and Kelvin deserves another crack at the Premiership after his performances this season I've mentioned on a previous thread that Cammy Bell at Kilmarnock would be a great signing. I've had a close look at Kasper Schmeichel and Tim Krul when they both spent a loan period at my home club (Falkirk), and although they had great potential and have gone on to do extremely well, I think Bell is a better. Already capped by Scotland, far better than Alan McGregor and Craig Gordon and would go at a good price for a cash strapped club Get him on the bus Nige

The last 5 seasons have seen the Championship runners up playing away on the first game of the season. (It may even go back further) Playing Chelsea x 2, Man Utd, Wigan and Bolton. So on previous history we will be away to one of the top 2 (City or United) or mid to low table West Brom or Aston Villa

25th May.

It does have cabins and a decent buffet, travelling on your own you need to share with same sex obviously but they cater for a family group. We use the recliner seats which are cheaper and really comfortable. Scot rail are having problems with their cabin heating and our last 2 journeys (Peterborough and West Ham away) the cabin was baltic during the night but we were refunded our costs
-
With a friends and family ticket for me and my 15 year old £22 but it jumps up to £60 odds on a Friday night which is a pain in the ar$e for travelling down for home games.
-
You walked into that Charming man the OP did ask for top 3. Seriously though, I made 9 away games last season and hoping to improve on that total next season but the London games seldom go to General sale. It will most likey be north of Birmingham games that I will be able to get tickets for. That's also what makes Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal more appealing.
-
Coming from Scotland, the northern trips are a doddle. I enjoy the London trips especially midweek when we travel back home on the sleeper. I've never been to Stamford Bridge, Emirates or White Hart Lane and I wouldn't go to the expense of travelling to these stadiums if Saints were not playing there. Hope that clears that up

The heading was top 3 I thought ?

I gave my 3 as Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal, I was then asked what was the appeal of going to Spurs and Chelsea by Sour Mash. Seeing Southampton play was my response. Sorry not used to the multi quote button but good to see the forum Police on the ball
