Arsenal; 2 tickets required please.
southamptonbairn replied to View From The Top's topic in Saints Away Supporters
In the exact same boat, arranged tickets through an agency for home end but they still have not arrived so not too hopeful. Looks like there will be a few of us on the hunt for spares. -

I've been to every away game this season but on the understanding that the ticket wouldn't be available for London games. So I'm travelling down hoping to pick up a ticket in the home end and it's looking promising!!

Rickie Lambert called up for England
southamptonbairn replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in Golden Posts
Its like being torn between 2 lovers. Please stop at 3 Rickie -
Carlisle (a) if they manage to hold out against Blackburn would be my shortest journey but as I've already ticked that one off the list then Morecambe away would be my preferred choice

Hartson is a complete ar$e as a pundit. I will always remember him for his comments when Koki Mizuno scored his first senior goal for Celtic v Falkirk. He said something like "this kid will remember this for the rest of his life, his first senior goal. You never forget things like that. Terry Butcher his co pundit asked, "who did you score your first senior goal against John? " and the areshole replied, "You know, I can't remember now!"

Pointless Early 2013/14 Kit Speculation Thread
southamptonbairn replied to The9's topic in The Saints
If the rumours are true that the kit arrived without the sponsors logo on it due to the uncertainty of the sponsor, here's hoping you can purchase the top without the logo. -
Reading through all the posts, I'm a newbie Saints fan compared to the majority on here. 52 y/o from Falkirk, Scotland and have been a Falkirk fan as long as I can remember. My youngest daughter adopted Southampton as her English club and pestered me for years to take her to a Southampton game. I eventually took her to see Carlisle v Saints in League One and was hooked right away. Ever since then we have managed 14 - 15 games per season (mainly away games). First home game we managed was Leeds Utd in first game of the season in the Championship. I don't know why she chose Southampton as her English team, I've often wondered if she had chosen some other side if I would have had shared her same passion to follow them all over the country. I'm just mighty glad she did!!

Well whatever you have done works for me now, back to normal speed. (Firefox user)

We always arrange a short break "down south" for the opening game of the weekend, so anybody at home or somewhere that we would normally need an over night stop for like Norwich, Swansea or Cardiff. Fingers tightly crossed it's not a London club away (except Fulham with their neutral section) as tickets will be a problem.

Both grounds have been ticked off my list so not fussed on that, but because of my dislike for Holloway I'll be cheering on Watford.

Premier League games 'free' for BT Broadband customers
southamptonbairn replied to trousers's topic in The Lounge
Excellent freebie deal if you already have BT Broadband but similar costs if you currently have sky broadband BT Unlimited broadband, line rental and unlimited calls £38.45pm Sky Unlimited broadband, Line Rental and unlimited calls £27pm and adding BTSport at £12pm = £39pm I'm hearing if you call sky and ask for your MAC code because you are thinking of changing to BT, you will be offered various discounts, so good competition -
Scottish Saints
southamptonbairn replied to scotsaintsfan's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
Leaving Edinburgh by train at 11 arriving Newcastle 12.23 and then 14.00 from Newcastle to Sunderland after a stop off. I've met a good few over the years who travel down. -
I'm surprised that with 2 red cards on Saturday, Saints still top the fairplay league!! http://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/fairplay

Scottish Saints
southamptonbairn replied to scotsaintsfan's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
Yes doing Sunderland which will be my 14th game this season. Not making the Stoke game due to exams .The Sunday games (Stoke) are handy for flights though getting back up after the game. -
Scottish Saints
southamptonbairn replied to scotsaintsfan's topic in Overseas Saints / Supporters Groups
There's a few of us travel down together having met on previous journeys on the train, but no official supporters club that I know of -
My concern would be the game getting moved. SKY Premier League televised games for that FA Cup weekend are, West Ham v Man Utd, Liverpool v Tottenham and Fulham v Chelsea and at this stage only the Liverpool V Spurs game is free from potential FA Cup involvement. SKY will no doubt select another two games to cover as they have done on the past if Man Utd and Chelsea are still involved in the Cup

Sticking to the City Centre. Managed to get a £12 sale room in Travelodge near Victoria Station and there's a direct 17 minute tram from Victoria Station to Trafford Bar. Sorted!!

Sunday games. A pain if you have to travel
southamptonbairn replied to terrasaint's topic in The Saints
I appreciate the problems with travelling on a Sunday for games with more expensive rail fares, line closures and Sunday service. However, it's normally away games that cause me the biggest headache travelling down from Scotland. The Spurs and Newcastle games being on a Sunday were a bonus for me as I managed to get a flight back up to Edinburgh on Sunday night. Saturday home games require an overnight stay and are obviously more expensive. So I'm hoping for a few more home Sunday games before the end of the season. -
