Europa League 2016/2017 (Died 8/12/2016)
southamptonbairn replied to ScepticalStan's topic in The Saints
I would expect that in the Post Office in Shirley, but I had a similar conversation in the Post Office in Falkirk, Central Scotland. It's a small world and here was me thinking me and my daughter were the only Saints fans living in Falkirk -

Capital One Cup Third Round - MK Dons (Away)
southamptonbairn replied to nta786's topic in The Saints
I was praying for another away game with a new ground to tick off, so i'm happy with that. Preston would have been better though. With Man Utd game on the Sunday before, i'm guessing this game should be on the Wednesday night? -

southamptonbairn replied to Yorkshire Saint's topic in The Saints

Saints have no club coefficient ratings over the past 5 seasons and only get 20% of the associations points, so no guarantee we will be seeded -
I noticed this post from my daughter in 2011 on the thread from Lazio 78 above http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthrea...s#.VL4b9EeG-So That very hopeful prediction of travelling down from Scotland for 7-10 games in the Championship season turned out to be 14, as I was hooked from the start at Carlisle away in November 2010. We've kept it up to 14-15 every season since and I've recently travelled down on my own to see "her" team when she's had exams and we've now seen Saints play in 31 different League grounds. All those "Big Team" supporters (who have only seen their team on the telly) up here who thought I was a nut case for travelling all that way to see a wee team like Southampton are only now starting to understand that "calling".

We are upper tier as well email your mobile to ....

At some grounds a light at the turnstile activates when a concession comes through the turnstile and stewards are waiting to pounce. Don't know about WHL though. We're the opposite, we've got an adult ticket for 17yo. I can swap the ticket with you, save my daughter a few pounds and we can sit at the original seats.

FALKIRK SAID NO!!

This debate has created divisions amongst families and ended friendships. I totally agree with your comment above, my daughter canvassed for the NO camp yesterday in the High Street and was told quietly by many voters that they were voting NO but were not broadcasting this to their 'YES' friends, they also didn't want to be given 'NO' stickers or badges. Every No banner in my area has been defaced and I wouldn't dream of putting a NO placard or union flag in my window because my house would be bricked. Like you I think it will kick off if NO win. I must say I'm a pessimist and I'm beginning to feel a 'YES' victory but hopefully the silent majority is bigger than the polls believe. How much is a 2 bedroom flat in Southampton anyway?
-
This is just ONE issue that we have no idea what the outcome will be. Believe me there are hundreds more unanswered questions, it's a blind leap with no safety net and it's not for me and hopefully not for the majority of Scottish voters. I am a proud Scot but also British and will always be British no matter what the outcome is.

Swansea away allocation
southamptonbairn replied to SFCRedandWhite's topic in Saints Away Supporters
I noticed during Hull v Stoke the other week that the away fans were located right in the corner, where last season we had the area to the left behind the goal. maybe a smaller section now. -
It's 4-8 hour train journey for me to watch Saints depending where they are playing and watching a couple of movies on my tablet passes the time. So that's one reason why someone brings a tablet to the football.

No they don't !! but along Tannadice Street at United they do.....

I posted this on the away fans thread but I have been advised there will be a better response posting it on the Main Board Ive noticed today that someone has started an e-petition to the Government for TV Companies to publish their Live fixtures 12 weeks in advance so that fans can travel to away games cheaper using advance fares. The live TV fixtures for March have still not been announced and we are only 5 weeks away to the beginning of March. http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/59629 If this effects you, please take the time to complete the petition and if you are registered with any other fans forum please pass it on

100,000 I believe, It is quite an ask but the power of Internet forums and Social Media should hopefully get it there. This internal battle between SKY and BT Sport is having a huge impact on the travelling fan and needs to be addressed.

I've stuck this on the Away Supporters thread because it mainly effects the travelling supporter. Neutral End tickets for Fulham on sale today (27/12/13)

I was travelling down from Scotland for the Saints v Everton game at Goodison on 28 December with a few Everton fans and had bought our Rail tickets together. With the game being rescheduled our rail tickets could not be refunded so they emailed Everton to grumble and I emailed Southampton FC to have a grumble. Can you spot the difference?

I just hope when Newcastle come to St Marys we charge them £10 extra like they have done to us. £27 for an adult ticket behind the goal for home fans and we are in the Gods paying £37
