I'll never forget what you have done FOR this once great club, but unfortunately what you (by no means completely to blame) have done TO this great club. I'll never forget THAT goal against Arsenal at The Dell. Pure Genius on the field - but mis-led off it, perhaps?
-
Pedant. Hours before a supposed deal to turn the fortunes fo this club around is being announced, we sell 1 if not 2 players for circa £2M. But in a way, you're right. It IS the start of pre-season... ours. DMG wants to go, so he can go - fine. But could he not have waited another 24 hours until the deal was done with new owners? Or is it because WE could not AFFORD to wait another 24 hours?
-
FFS NO......but the timing is a bit odd, do you not think????
-
If a deal had been done, would DMG have been sold? Surely if it had been completed, they'd have stopped any such deals until they had got 'their man' in and decided what transfers to sanction at that time? If no deal has been agreed (to buy the club) then who has agreed to sell DMG? Does Fry have this authority? Also, beggars the question as to WHY has DMG been sold - does it mean that a deal (for the club) is NOT forthcoming???
-
i sanyone even the slightest bit interested to see what would happen if a deal DIDNT happen? It's kind of a sick, dark thought at the back of your head....

am down at SMS currently. Have been talking to a TV guy and he said that he expects a press release / some news 'shortly'. He said that from his POV there is nothing (NOTHING) holding up the confirmation of the take-over / buy out whatever you want to call it - apart from the FL issue. He stated that he understnds that contracts are ready to be exchanged shortly and completion soon thereafter - to use a housebuying analagy. keep calm guys, keep calm.

has anyone seen the "welcome to Portsmouth, Al Fahiyde" sign on the A3M coming into Portsmouth from Waterlooville way? Would be brilliant if this doens't happen, and would be even better to see the guy who put the sign up fall while taking it down - due to the tears in his eyes meaning he misses his step. knobbers
-
I have heard from a number of people that the backers behind the bid are/were: Andrew Lloyd Webber Gavyn Davies Richard Branson I was told that one/all of the above are still involved, with special mention of ALW. Rod Stewart was also mentioned. Now I do not know how reliable the info is, just thought i'd pass on - more in hope than expectation. would be nice, mind you.
