I've not read the whole thread, but it appears that it's all Saints were this, Saints were that. From the few reports i've read from the match, it sounds like Salisbury played well - so well done to them and fair play. Over the years we've always moaned that we never got any credit for beating a better team, it was always 'Man Utd didn't turn up' or the like. Credit where credit is due....

I reckon a damn sight more people would buy / renew at £150 than £300. I honestly dont know why teams dont do this more often. You'd get the same ticket revenue, granted, but you'd have (in this case) 7500 more people EVERY game spending in the bar buying food and drink, programme sales, and shop sales. I dont agree re the other prices, either. As long as they're not taking the p!ss with the prices, they'll sell. anywho - guess this isn't the right thread for this discussion. I thought he played ok. He seemed to read the play pretty well, and gave a bit more stability to the back 4. when he's match fit i'd expect him to be a great addition to the first team

For me, this is the perfet appointment. It shows real ambition from the new owners, a proven british manager with experience of getting out of these leagues, but equally as impirtant, a manager who is not going to up and leave at the first sign of success. Should be able to bring in some good experienced players and keep our better players too. Really, really happy with this appointment. bring on L1
