  1. Buckley was dominating Harding whenever he got the ball, and the 'shoulder' was a two arm push in the back - had a side on view - Probably could have got a yellow for that if he hadn't been booked already - hilarious to see him get taken off mind
  2. Don't think you took us to pieces per se You were definitely the better team before the sending off though but afterwards, as should be expected, we dominated.
  3. Thought you guys looked good knocking it about but didn't feel that worried after the first half. I was expecting to get battered but despite being the better team in the first half you didn't score which was down to a good save from Brez, an unfortunate miss from Guly and either a poor refereeing call/good clearance off the line. Second half I thought we came into it a bit more even before the sending off, and it was a definite red for Lambert, no doubt. Thought Forster-Caskey was awesome and deserved his goal, especially after that amazing save from Davis to deny him beforehand. Spadge's first was unstoppable but got a tad lucky with the deflection for #3. I thought Greer's red was a tad harsh, maybe blue-and-white-tinted specs, but to me it looked like he was moving his arm to give instructions to midfield and elbowed your guy in the face - I thought it was accidental as he was calling the ref over to tell him Forte was hurt - oh well, I'm happy with the 3 points, good luck with the rest of the season - still top and that
  4. Really looking forward to this! First time I've missed this fixture in three years due to uni! I am expecting us to get hammered today! Hoping for an exciting game with some goals, and of course for an Albion win, but just can't see it Congrats for doing so well this season, I always said last season that you'd do really well
  5. Another decent centre back to partner Fonte (Probably the best defender in the league last season, way too good for it!!) and I can see you conceding very few! I've heard rumours about Rodriguez of Burnley and maybe Maynard?
  6. Oh excellent! Our penalty-curse last season hasn't followed us up so far Do you guys have any ideas who you may sign, if you need anyone?
  7. I'm pleased with our result so far, but absolutely dying of nerves. I was the same at Portsmouth, but it was more prominent being at Fratton Park itself!! Just hope we don't concede a silly goal and keep the lead! Congrats for your FANTASTIC start to the season, I always thought Southampton would do very well this season Good luck to y'all, except against us of course, though I fear you will thrash us aha! Let's hope for some success on the south coast in the Championship this season...except Portsmouth
  8. He made himself look a bit of a silly there, but behind the bitterness there is some truth. I say this because this season, only you and Dagenham have been able to properly counteract the way we play. Daggers would pressure us at the back, just like you did, and like to launch the ball towards their front men. I noticed today that you would also launch the ball at your frontmen, but Lambert would nod back across to a support player, as with what happened with your first goal. However, you would also mix it up with some great football, like when do Prado was played through and had his shot cleared off the line, and there were a few of these moves throughout the game. So in some aspects he is right, in the positive (well, of course negative for us) ways that you utilise your strengths and counteracted us brilliantly. He does make himself seem a bit silly at times in that interview though... Sorry, as this is my third post today I cannot reply to any comments
  9. Mmm, looking more forward to the game against Palace, but Portsmouth should be a decent game. Turned them over quite convincingly in the cup this season, but I don't know. Just generally looking foward to the season! If we get in a centre-back or two that can dominate in the air, but also pass it about, exactly like Fonte and Jaidi, I reckon we could do quite well. That said, methinks you will do very well next season. Thanks for turning up in force today, can't be nice sitting in that awful away stand!!! One thing, when Fonte was booked for celebrating with the fans, why was he not also booked for taking his shirt off, eh? Jokes, jokes. I don't know about you, but I thought we were awful today. I think we were poor mainly to do with the fact you allowed us no time at all, which worked wonders. Best team at Withdean by miles this season, and once again congratulations on the three points and here's hoping for two south coast teams in the automatic promotion spots this season!!!
  10. Well done Saints. You definitely deserved the three points today. I knew the minute Lallana came on we were screwed, and it turned out to be true Fonte and Butterfield were brilliant I thought. Anyway, congratulations on your deserved three points, and see you in the Championship next season!
  11. Mate, we've got one payed for, just choosing between three or so good locations, so that blows your argument to pot.
  12. Ahem, arrogant, ahem. Don't see how you can say you are the best footballing side in the league when we are champions and play the best football...oh...you can't.
  13. Bit pathetic isn't it, really? I mean, in all of Gus' interviews he insists Southampton have great players, are a good side and that Adkins is a nice bloke. For Adkins to continually try and stoke the fire with controversial statements (calling us cheating cunts (basically) is just being a poor loser) it would surely make our players more fired up for the game tomorrow, which we need nothing from, as we have proved that we are the best team in this league by winning it with 4 games left. If he wasn't making himself out as such a tit then I think we would be less up for it and you would have a greater chance of getting a result tomorrow. FWIW I reckon you'll win tomorrow, but it won't matter in the slightest
  14. I would love to see us do this! We haven't seen much of Dunk this season, but his two performances have been excellent (Away at Tranmere and at your place) Jake Forster-Caskey is the player we all want to see, but we have been restricted to a very good performance away at Stoke in the FA Cup. Torbjorn Agdestein is the other youngster we want to see. He is banging them in for the reserves, so we want to see how he could do in the first team. Don't be surprised if you see one, two or three in the match squad (Definitely Dunk, as Greer is suspended - silly headbutt was silly) but I think we'll start with our strongest team, as there is a bit of anti-Saints feeling amongst the squad (Well, more anti-Adkins than Saints)
  15. Don't take it to heart. Tommy is Brighton through and through, has come through the youth ranks, and is obviously still excited about winning the league. It has been a hard season on Tommy - first choice with El-Abd as Greer was suspended, but when Greer came in both he and El-Abd have been immense. He would've played against you but got suspended the match before, so when Adam was injured we brought on Lewis Dunk. Did well mind. You said Tommy only joked about it though, and to be fair, we have walked this league, not being arrogant, but I can see why he would say it especially with the very close relationship our squad has! Elliott is just top, honestly. Every interview he comes across well-informed, pleasant and level-headed. So very happy our chairman stood firm and rejected all of the bids from feckin' Norwich in January! Good luck on Saturday, wouldn't be too against a draw so we can keep our unbeaten record and you still get a point closer to promotion. Who would want to go to Huddersfield when you could go only down the road?
