Please can we get back to taking the **** out of the Skates? For instance - From http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/fans-favourite-edges-closer-to-pompey-exit-1-3885927 ------------------------ EastneyBlue Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 12:18 PM I would think the reason we need to sell our best assets is to pay the bills. ------------------- No **** Sherlock. Is that the distant sound of a Penny dropping?

All Councils have to publicly disclose all spending over £500 Portsmouth: http://www.portsmouth.gov.uk/yourcouncil/20037.html Southampton: http://www.southampton.gov.uk/council-partners/transparency.aspx Hampshire (if you're interested): http://www3.hants.gov.uk/opendata/datasets/supplierpayments.htm So they can't just just do it and not go public.

I would play a "wild card" in this game - someone that on one expects who can go on and play without nerves and give us something different. Step forward Falque. Has the ability, and Coventry will not be able to handle him - nor will they have a plan for him. As long as we play the game and not the occation, we'll be fine.
-
Saturday's game is effectively a cup final - like the play-off final, but at home, and against a team who have nothing to win. We have a great team with quality players, and we're playing decent football. And we stand to win the biggest prize in world sport. One game from the Premier League. If we keep calm, trust the players and ignore the lilly-livered pussies who wet themselves if they leave home without holding their Mum's hand, well be fine. I can't wait for next week: for the game, the celebrations, and the party in the pub afterwards!

Deserves a bump - crying with laughter!

This goes with their fantastic history: Former Premiership Club... Former Championship Club... Former Football League Club??? I'm off this afternoon to the same place...looking forway to a double celebration Saturday night!

I think he need to be a bit more professional. I can see from his point of view interviews with NA rarly produce anything other than "the script", but I Kris needs to keep any frustration under wrapps. It's his job to present that facts, not to ask fans to phone in and moan about NA's interviews (which is what he did last night).

excellent, thanks guys.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but can you pay on the gate tomorrow night? Tempted to take the day off....

Me too! Worked on the old version of Tapatalk, but downloaded that latest version from Google Play and won't let me log in, or page back to read old posts....

I thought it was a cracking game, worthy of the Premier League. Very little between the teams if we're honest. If we carry on playing like that, we'll be fine. Over the season, teams end up where they deserve to be, but in individual games, lady luck does play a part. Had SRL stuck that header away at the end of the 1st half and if Adam had scored his chance, things would be very different this morning. Fine margins, and it just wasn't our night. Personally, I wouldn't have taken Hammond off, as I think he makes Cork a better player. Thought the ref was poor, so no surprise there.

I think our support is better when we get 27/28k, rather than selling out. Too many JCL's dampens the support everyone else is used to giving. (And yes, I have a sore throat too).
-
That's the spirit! Can't wait - it's going to be a cracking game of football, right up to the 95th minute. If we play at the top of our game, it will take something quite exceptional from Reading to beat us.
-
Don't forget the one and only Peter Storrey. Saints legend?

I remember Kevin Bond gobbing on Paul Walsh in a Littlewoods Cup game (I think) against Liverpool. He wasn't too pleased.

Good idea. Up the bu... -
It's a funny thing - I think that Schneiderlin is our best midfielder, but I think that Cork/Hammond is our best combination. Look at the football we were playing early in the season before Morgan came into the team.
-
Funnily enough, I was thinking that if I were Palace, I'd create a really heavy pitch, knowing that Saints had played on Friday and would probably tire in the last 10 mins.
-
Bang on - could not have put it better myself. Cheers.

The linesman on the Itchen side was very poor, and while the ref may have got the big decisions right, it seemed that every 50/50 went the Skates way. He blew up every time one of our players made a tackle, but let them get away with some fairly hefty challenges. I thought the ref had a poor game.
-
Over the two games we've played the Skates this season, we've never been behind and we're been ahead three times. They had to score two wonder goals to stay with us. People are staying we didn't deserve to win - I disagree. Which keeper had the most saves to make? Who had the most shots? They've got out of jail twice against us. I know it feels like two points dropped, and it's frustrating, but we're still top, they're still at the bottom. Would anyone like to change places? Thought not ;-)

I agree. Easy to support the team when they're playing well and scoring freely, but when it really counts and the team needs it, too many went silent today.
