Would he be a liquid asset?

Did I read that right - "Powered by the People"???

Football-wise, they would probably have benefited from playing more games with us. Bank balance-wise, it was a no-brainer.

It was Rosie.

I was at Upton Park as well. Went up on the Train from Petersfield in a train full of Skates, who (I think) were playing Crystal Palace on the same day. I remember my Mum being very relieved when I got home, as she didn't know which match I was at! Sad day.

Looking through that, I think the updated ones are all much better - apart from Valencia's, which look like a pair of b0ll0cks hanging down.

Saints 2 Reading 0 - Post Match Reactions

According to Le Fondre, J-Rod should have been sent off - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2305490/Adam-Le-Fondre-says-Jay-Rodriguez-sent-off.html. How are those grapes Adam? Touch on the sour side perhaps? ;-) -
I was in their East Stand (to the right of the Saints fans) and the atmosphere was totally flat before and during the game. That sometimes does happen with a early kick-off, but I was expecting a far more difficult afternoon than I got - particularly as it was such a big game for them. The vast majority of them had already thrown in the towel. The people around me were agreeing that there was not a single Reading player who would get in to our 1st team.

So, can the Administrators sell the ground to Harris, sell the club to the PDT and leave Harris and the PDT to negotiate over the rent?

I'm betting it will be on the 10th. It's the date Oblivion gets released http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1483013/

The welfare cuts add up to around £2.5bn, so even if they collected half the avoided tax it would negate the need to cut welfare and give the country some real options. The top 1% of earners pocket 10p in every pound of income paid in Britain, while the poorest 50% take home about 18p of every pound between them. I'm not against people being rich, there just has to be a balance and the gap between rich and poor is growing out of all proportion. It can/should be narrowed with some sensible redistribution.
-
Wow. This that what we aspire to for our fellow Countrymen? We can do better.
-
Can you survive on £53p/w? Yes. Is it a life? No. To my mind, the real problem isn't the level of benefits, it's low pay. Basically, lots of employers are know that the state will subsidise the wages they pay to staff, so they only pay the minimum wage (or just above it). Increase the minimum wage so it becomes a living wage and lots of people would be lifted off the bread line and you create a real incentive to work. Of course, employers will never do that, as it would hit profits.
