  1. This. 15000 today? Massive club. Massive.
  2. Adkins was right again.
  3. ****ing get in. WE ARE GOING UP!!!!!!!!
  4. Question is: should our players from a guard of honour when Brighton run on to the pitch? Would be the decent thing to do, I think.
  5. Travel Lodge handily placed at the end of Union Street. ;-)) £19.00 for the night. http://www2.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_book/hotel_overview.php?hotel_id=251
  6. I suspect the clubs which end up being promoted will be the ones who are united - where the fans, team, & management are all pulling in the same direction. They will be the ones who deserve to go up. It also seems that we have a minority who appear to be waiting for the team to slip up (which is bound to happen, as every team loses a game now and then), just so they can say "told you so". It's funny, but during our premiership relegation scraps, when we were sometimes awful, we seemed to be more united in the belief that we would stay up, no matter what the odds. And we did stay up, time after time. Perhaps a bit of that kind of belief wouldn't go amiss now. Yes, we could be playing better, and I think we will hit top form again, but as we're in spitting distance of 2nd place, I'm a bit bemused by the criticism.
  7. Seriously tempted to go without a ticket tomorrow. Probably the biggest game I've missed in 15 years or so. As a top of the table clash, this game is a big game.
  8. I totally agree with Roger - I've thought for some time how poor Solent's coverage has become. I put it down to: the Skate summariser basically saying they can do no wrong, the Bournmouth summariser saying they can do no wrong Merrington giving a far more balanced view. Sometimes I wish DM would be a little more partisan.

  10. I don't know - they probably stand as good a chance as any in the play-offs.
  11. I think we will be, given time. I think (hope!) crowds will grow over the coming months, as people realise our good form is no flash in the pan. I can see us selling out in April/May, especially if we're in the top two. Next season in the Championship, I reckon we'll add another 2-3000 to the gate every week. It's nice to know that our "core" support, even in the 3rd division, is still over 20,000. I know some will still moan, but I think that's pretty good. PS. Who gives a **** about Brighton?
  12. No. Performances for Millwall aside, I wouldn't want him here unless he really wanted to be here, and it appears he does not. Why upset a squad that's just finding form?
  13. From http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D2/attend.html Nice to see we're the best supported team in the division. Haveing St Mary's 2/3rds full while in the third division is remarkable. 14. I think we've done the decent thing and allowed him to carry on playing through a barren spell in the hope that he'll come back into form. That's not working - he seems to be getting worst not better - so I do think the time has come to take him out of team, let him have a break, and hopefully he'll come back firing on all cylinders later in the season. For RL's sake as much as anything else.
  15. I saw Gullit play for Holland against England at Wembley, and he was something special. I also once went to the Den as a nutural to see Millwall play Spurs. Gasgoine was sensational, scoring a hat-trick. (I was lucky to get out of that one alive, but that's another story). Against Saints, probably Liam Brady for Arsenal. Tiss was better than the lot of them though.
  16. Tell Lambert to play at Centre Forward. On Saturday, he was here, there and everywhere leaving Connolly to try and win high balls against a Centre Half about a foot taller than he was.
  17. If only! Hope it's not Zola.
  18. On idea if this is the right decision or not - guess it all depends on who have been lined up as replacements. Best wishe to AP and the others. It's never easy losing your job.
  19. Also just joined - team "come on you HMRC". (The other league I'm in has a few of our fishy friends in it).
  20. If NC wants to sack AP, there's no much anyone can do about it. And provided he gets someone better in, then so what if he does?
  21. Sorry if this has been discussed before, but one thing I don't understand: If they are liquidated, I though the PFC would be no more, and that a new club (with no history) would need to start at the lowest level, like Aldershot did. This article suggests that they would somehow remain in the Championship and carry on more or less as before. Could anyone explain?
  22. Points needed to get into 6th place since 2000/2001: 00/01 - 75 points 01/02 - 78 points 02/03 - 81 points 03/04 - 73 points 04/05 - 71 points 05/06 - 71 points 06/07 - 75 points 07/08 - 76 points 08/09 - 76 points All of which proves nothing.
  23. Points needed to get into 6th place over since 2000/2001: 00/01 - 75 points 01/02 - 78 points 02/03 - 81 points 03/04 - 73 points 04/05 - 71 points 05/06 - 71 points 06/07 - 75 points 07/08 - 76 points 08/09 - 76 points All of which proves nothing. Apart from if we do win all our games we'll be on 78 points with (probably) the 2nd best goal difference in the division. In 8 out of the last 9 years, that would be enough for a playoff place. Fingers crossed (at least) one of Swindon, Charlton or Huddersfield really lose their nerve.
  24. This is the *best* they can hope for.... 15 Wigan 26 -26 25 16 Wolves 26 -23 24 17 Hull 27 -29 24 ------------------------- 18 Bolton 26 -20 23 19 Burnley 26 -28 23 20 Portsmouth 26 -23 7
