too late Phil - One Shot comes out on 21st December - with Tom Cruise as Reacher. Bizarre choice as reacher is supposed to be 6'4" and 220lbs!

One X or One S - depends on preference for size - the SGS3 is underwhelming anyway so you aren't missing out on much. Despite the hype, it is still playing catchup with the One X. They stuck a load of headline software features on there but opted to leave the screen as a pentile screen - cheap option.

oh and worked in Chrome fine for me
-
make sure you have both phone numbers filled in and they both have no gaps
-
seen it on Twitter but not on any credible news site/station

you won't see much on a SGS2 as Samsung have heavily tweaked the UI. Best aspect of ICS is the availability of Chrome, particularly if you use Chrome on your PC. http://www.android.com/about/ice-cream-sandwich/

+1 ....

Liverpool and Tottenham after him - won't happen either I don't think
-
probably not - but he is the kind of right winger we need. Only cost Sporting €3.5mil (€30 mil release clause mind!)

Was at the Sporting Lisbon vs Bilbao game last night and 2 players stood out - Diego Capel and Marat Izmailov. Capel ran the right wing all night long and scored a really good winner for Sporting. Izmailov was playing behind the main striker and has really quick feet. Both would be good, although Capel would be brilliant on the right of midfield.

grab yourself some powerline adapters - they use your home wiring as a ethernet network. You can also get powerline devices with built in wireless access points. TP-Link are good and cheap: http://www.amazon.co.uk/TL-WPA281-Powerline-Extender-Wireless-Access/dp/B0067GS0YO

yep - you need a charcoal one for the times when you feel the pyro urge, a gas one is good for the rest of the time. Even better is a smoker! (the food kind)

suprised nobody has mentioned a bloody great BBQ - got my eye on one of these: http://www.fire-magic.co.uk/images/e1060s-2e1n-71-thumb.jpg

the latest version of Tapatalk is not working on any of my Android (or Playbook) devices - guess we need to wait for Steve to do the upgrade.
-
yep same issue on the new version, can still see all the forums though
-
yep - won't do AC3. I just use AVIDemux to convert AC3 to AAC. No mention of TS files in the specs here.

I have one on order - supposed to be here next month but won't hold my breath!

got my Playbook today from the RIM developer offer. I have to say its a brilliant little device and does what it should very well. Yes the apps are lacking but the fully fledged webkit browser means you can just browse to most sites - like you do on a PC. I know it is old school but it works well. It has a fantastic display, plays my full HD MKV files (as long as there is no AC3 audio encoding), and is pretty speedy. Right now I would recommend it over any of the sub £200 android devices out there. If you are a BB user it shines even more

Nice to see the players acting as role models! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17536760

B&Q grass is fine for low footfall areas - no good if you have a dog though.
-
works very well with the Kinect too. They spent a lot of time getting it just right.

We are able to get access to our internal mail and calendars (lotus notes) at work through both Android and iOS devices and quite a few people make use of it. Unfortunately, both platforms have security issues when trying to meet our internal security standards so we don't get full internet access - unless we use a Playbook connected through a Blackberry device using Bridge. It cost about £400 for the Transformer including the Dock - which we use most of the time as it gives you full keyboard access, as well as standard usb port for a mouse. The Playbook is a lovely little device - and surprisingly it doesn't feel like a huge compromise over a 9.7" iPad or 10.1" Transformer. You do however compromise on the App quality
