Anyone at work wanting to watch SSN - go and sign up at tvcatchup.com. You can watch any of the free to air channels. Works on iphone too!

Do you have anything you can physically connect to the router via ethernet? You need to check your router settings.

blackra1n is more stable

no - not much in it and will kill your jailbreak if done.

well flash won't be a big deal in the coming year as html5 will gradually filter through. I already use the html5 version of youtube that is in beta. Multitasking for me is the big issues. I want to be able to keep skype open while I go and check my calendar or email.

Getting priority on a wireless network advice pls

Yes a new router that supports QoS is your best bet. Doesn't have to be brand new - a second hand one flashed with Tomato firmware will suffice. Tomato will also let you up the power of the wireless transmission too. routers are never turned to their full capabilities out of the box. I got a Wireless-N netgear router from Virgin Media when I upgraded to their 50Mb service but stayed with my old Buffalo router for stability, and tweakability. Don't regret it at all. http://www.decimation.com/markw/2007/10/03/tomato-qos-setup/ is an article on how to do it but gives info on capabilities too. -
Its a shame that there is nothing innovative about the iPad. Apple will sell loads to people who will always buy Apples new stuff. Personally I would prefer something like the Lenovo U1 that is a laptop but the screen detaches to become a separate tablet. It will run Windows 7 so it has much more flexibility than the iPad. Apple did the same with the iPhone though - version 1 was nothing spectacular but people bought it. The problem with the iPad though is that people won't get a free upgrade after 18months - 2 years like with the iPhone. They will have to fork out for every new version and all they will get is 1 or 2 new features that Apple could have put in version 1.

Although that might be better as at least it will multitask!

pointless pointless device unless you really love apple products. No multitasking, cant do widescreen video, still no flash support, uses mini sims which nobody supplies here, no usb unless you buy an ugly adapter. You may as well buy a netbook

iBooks is the first new feature - but still nothing unique

nothing unique so far

QoS is what you really need otherwise you are blocking everything. BT homehub is not capable of handling it however. The best routers for QoS are Linksys and Buffalo routers as you can overwrite the firmare very easily with something called 'Tomato'. I use this at home to set priorities so that things like BBC iPlayer dont affect normal web browsing. You can get a second hand router that can be used with Tomato pretty easily on ebay. Take a look at http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato -
Good to see Murray showing some personality afterwards even if he has a very dull voice!

Ended up getting the D250 from Ebuyer as they reduced it to £189 today with a free laptop bag.

He was pretty poor last night. We were crying out for a left winger who could beat his man and get a cross in. I don't think he is in his natural position though. Sticking him in behind Lambert in a free role would be better.
-
Just back from the game. Very scrappy, dodgy ref. Saints did ok first half but second showed no class or composure. Impressed with Fonte and I thought Wotton had a tidy game. Lambert looked jaded. Did the job though and head back to St Marys with a great chance of heading to Wembley

Its just for my daughter to use for web/msn etc - nothing taxing. Extra battery life would be good for her as she can hardly remember to charge her phone let alone a laptop!

Anyone got any opinions on one of these? They are selling at £199 with no OS. I haev win & to load on it anyway. Alternative is £215 for the Acer Aspire 1 d250
