  1. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/164043 seems to be pretty well reviewed - 22" Samsung# or http://www.ebuyer.com/product/177131 - 24" BenQ
  2. +1 - was a stunning hat trick - even more so when the team around him didn't turn up and he was playing at the San Siro.
  3. A friend of mine from the US always does an evening/night walking tour. He reckons the Jack the Ripper tour is excellent. Borough Market is a must - but beware its incredibly busy at lunchtime on Friday as a lot of office workers head there for lunch.
  4. Get it! I love mine. Battery life isnt great but you can always buy a second battery and keep it with you. I have mine on the 1 plan on three. Costs £35 a month. The space issue can be fixed by putting everything you can on the SD - there are apps to make it easy or you can use the default android method.
  5. open it up by undoing all the screws you see - take all the bits out. Rub the magnets you get from inside (very powerful) all over the platters. Use platters as coasters for a few months then break into pieces and scatter
  6. I drove past the site every day for a fortnight 18 months ago and even then you could tell that it wouldn't be ready on time. Its no surprise so me that this situation has arisen. It was on the cards from the day they announced Delhi as the venue. The roads around there are an absolute nightmare on a normal day - took 4 hours to go 30km one day when it was usually a 45 min journey.
  7. pretty much of a muchness, the Samsung one is vanilla Android, the HTC one has the Sense UI overlay. Samsung has a faster processor, HTC better camera. If I was picking I would go for the HTC - in fact thats what I am getting for my wife when her contract is up.
  8. I have a Sony A200 too - great starter DSLR and it takes old Minolta lenses which you can get relatively cheaply on Ebay. I have some old lenses from my Grandfathers Minolta and they work very well.
  9. King of Shaves for me - used to use disposables and could only use each one once. King of Shaves blades last me 10 - 15 shaves.
  10. There is an app called myBookmarks that does sync bookmarks with android, but it involves uploading a bookmarks.html to their site. HTC Sync 3.0 allows you to sync while connected vis USB but I havent found any other good OTA sync apps. I will email you too as I am not subscribed on here any more
  11. Im sorry but just because you have had a bad experience doesn't mean others shouldn't 'GET AN ANDROID'. What version of Android are you using, what phone do you have? These things will make a difference to your experience. It sounds like you are probably on 1.6 or earlier. If you are selective in your market apps then you can get some great stuff. The Apple App store also contains a lot of dross and some excellent apps. Do your research regardless of the platform and find the apps that suit your need. As for the Gmail account issue - have you googled the issue, have you spoken to your phone manufacturers support team, or gone to their forums. Have you tried resetting to factory defaults and trying to connect it up again?
  12. Yep - got myself a Desire a few weeks ago and love it. Camera quality isn't the best, but then few cameras are on phones. 720P recording with the upgraded HTC version of Froyo is an improvement on anything the iPhone has currently. Wifi Access point functionality is good too. I was going to get a Mifi from 3 but don't need it now Froyo is out. I think that is the big difference with Android - improvements come in software to open new functionality, Apple go the Hardware route to make more money - the iPhone 5 is rumoured to be out in the new year!
  13. RIP Markus - Saved Our Saints. So many saints fans are Tweeting that Markus Liebherr is trending. Someone should capture them to forward to his family
  14. 15. Just saw that - had to laugh - really can't see that one coming to fruition!
  16. Gregg Wallace was a greengrocer - never been a chef. He now has a restaurant as he liked eating so much but he doesn't go anywhere near the kitchen. He's actually a nice bloke who know a huge amount about sourcing excellent produce.
  17. I have one and its great. I dont use it much for playing music - more for email, internet, games, messaging, voip calls. There may well be a new one announced in Sept - usually the time Apple launch the new model. Should mean there are some good deals to be had before then. I agree about iTunes - it works just fine. Can be annoying sometimes when trying to update your library though.
  18. Flock has now abandoned Firefox and embraced Chrome. The new version that is in beta now is basically Chrome with a few extensions.
  19. apparently the iphone 4 signal strength is supposed to be showing the signal quality but there is a glitch in the OS. The phone is designed to use the signal with the highest quality not the highest strength.
  20. Saw that Baj and just had to laugh! Good way of apple getting extra money by selling the rubber bumpers
  21. Layar is very cool for a while - but you will soon get bored of wandering the streets with your camera in the air
  22. as there are virtually no moving parts in the router its probably an electrical part dying. you could try opening it up and seeing if you can spot something but its unlikely to be something you can fix easily. Get a Buffalo router - I swear by them
  23. Threading in emails is pretty good, folders also useful. Multitasking is not real multitasking - it basically saves the state of each window for when you switch back. Maybe when there are some proper multitasking apps it will be more useful
  24. My signal is fine on Three in Bedfordshire. Never had to use customer service so can't comment on that.
  25. rumour has it that three are going to announce £30 tariff with free 16GB iphone 4 and unlimited text/internet(the usual unlimited internet that has a limit!)
