sorry - meant to come back on with phone in hand to type a reply for you. To turn off notifications is pretty straight forward. For SMS go into Messages app, hit menu, then settings. Uncheck Received Notification. For email - go into the Gmail app, Hit Menu, > More> Settings and disable Email Notifications.

looks like you are already signed up so invite won't go through tractorsaint. Dropbox works fine on my HTC Desire. My coverage is great here on Three though - I get constant 5Mb Downloads.

You need to disable notifications in both the stock sms and email apps. You can't stop them retrieving though. I actually switched back to the gmail app for email as the latest version does everything I need it to do. I can't root or use other roms as I have a work push email app on there along with smobile virus protection. They don't let us use those apps if we have rooted. I use quite a few travel related apps - tripit, BA, AA apps. others I find useful are Dropbox (let me know if you want an invite for extra space!) Tweetdeck, Pixelpipe, Skype(the Three network version) and an app called lullaby that enables me to stream music from my home server to my phone wherever I am.

You have High schools in the US that fill 20000 capacity stadiums. I think only 2 or 3 of the biggest stadiums are used by pro teams, the rest for college football. Michigan Stadium, home to the University of Michigan Wolverines has a record attendance of just over 113,000!

The Sennheiser are very good - until they get washed as Baj says! Mine went through the washing machine and I have replaced them with a pair of Goldring GX200. They come with comply tips(and 3 sizes of normal tips) which are like the foam earplugs you get on planes. These are ideal as they expand into your ear canal so get a very snug fit.

it can be unlocked for free! Get it through a link from Quidco and there is cashback available too usually. Got it for my daughter for £99, less £10 discount from Orange, and £18 cashback. Unlocked it using a link from modaco.com and she is happily using it on 3. Decent phone for the price. Don't know how they managed to get that screen in the phone so cheaply. Its a better screen than the HTC Wildfire my wife has.

could be close - SA just lost 3 wickets for no run - 125-6

not sure why you need to keep an eye on it - its done when its done. The download time updates every 5 secs - no need to refresh

The software is - you just need a usenet provider. Your ISP may provide usenet access but the data retention period will be very short - 7 days max usually.
-
If you want to go down the usenet route but need simplicityI would go and download and install SABNzbd from here. SABNzbd runs as a service on your PC and will deal with most issues associated with usenet downloads such as missing/corrupt files. You just download and open the nzb file and SABNzbd kicks in and handles the file download, extract, and repair if required. I use it along with SickBeard to automate my US TV show torrents. The latest episodes are sitting on my server waiting for me every morning.
