I was thinking Chris Waddle. Meantime Vokins looked useful yet again.

According to the commentators on NBC a couple of weeks ago, we are "the very definition of a selling club", which I thought was an interesting observation. I think it's reasonable and it's how the rest of the world sees us right now. More so probably than any other PL club.
-
Yup! Great news. At least it should mean we'll get some decent money when he leaves!! (Assuming we are still a selling club)
-
But what about the beagles? We need to know.
-
Alan Ball played in a rather well-known World Cup final. Around 1966.
-
So are we going to be offering him a new contract when he returns from loan then? [Ducks]

VVD seems much happier on the right of Fonte.

According to BBC food you're supposed to: "Gently fold the whites into the sauce in one or two additions, using a large metal spoon or spatula. Work in a figure of 8 motion to combine until no large streaks of white remain." I think that's ok but we need to be careful the opposition don't score during the procedure because it could leave us open at the back. Also I'm not sure large metal spoons are generally allowed in the Prem League but MLG can let us know the rules for sure.

He'll do well to get into the QPR squad I think.

Agree with this, but something in the back of my mind keeps reminding me of Killer. At the very least we need to proceed on the assumption that he won't be back 100% in-form goal-scoring any time soon and ensure that we're covered up front. I think a JRod return this season (or even next?) is a bonus, not an expectation.

75 mins they showed Romeu at 9.08km, Davis at 8.84 and Soares at 8.56 - and the match continued 20 mins beyond that so Romeu did a load of running.
-
Good question, I do recall a graphic they showed close to the end of the game (78 mins or so?) on the NBC stream over here, showing that Romeu had done the most Saints running with a little over 9k. Will take a look at the replay and see if I can find it. I remember seeing it and thinking how Morgan used to often go way over 10k per match
-
MOTM was Long but the combination-player of Clasie-And-Romeu pushed him close I think.
-
Presumably because West Quay is just so good for Christmas shopping and the players can't keep their minds on the game as a result.

Southampton to launch major US coaching initiative
Bobbyboy replied to Lallana's Left Peg's topic in The Saints
Local soccer association here (Louisiana) recently received call from Stoke City equivalent of this thing (based in Atlanta by the sounds of it). Our head coach (an expat) refused to join up partly because he didn't want to screw up the current kit line-up (blue/white thing a little like Leicester) and partly because Stoke once refused him a trial when Lou Macari was the manager. Not sure what I'm trying to say here other than "wow Stoke are already doing this" and "people have long memories". And "oh yeah Lou Macari I remember him" -
To be honest, Man U have a habit, when it's a case of 'they'll either buy this one or that one' of buying both. They have obscene money judging by what we have seen recently.

Gaston back out of favour then. That bench really does look lean from an attacking point of view.
-
Kelvin Davis to make an emotional, deserved final PL appearance. Ideally for them.
-
Really starting to get concerned about JRod now.

43, including Griffit but forgetting Jos the boss.

The next Doctor Who companion.

Definitely. Even here in Louisiana where nobody cares about football, I've had people talk to me in the last couple of weeks about us beating Chelsea. Because it was on TV at the right time and was widely available. And because I wear a t-shirt with 'Saints' on it often and have to explain to people that it's NOT the New Orleans Saints. Europa is pretty hard to find over here. You never stumble across it by accident. NBC deal is quite a big deal for exposure over here..
