  1. Ooga. Wanyama-Davis is our defensive midfield. Not sure about that, but what do you do?
  2. I don't really follow football apart from Saints so my prediction may be a little off. 1. Southampton 2. Chelsea 3. Luton Town 4. Anne of Cleves 5. "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day" - Wizzard 6. Colin Baker 18. Brazil 19. Aloo Gobi 20. Mark Lawrenson
  3. What injury did Callum Chambers have before that pre-season game against Bournemouth?
  4. I think the key thing is that even being a little short of attacking players back in August, Koeman appeared to have no hesitation in letting him go to Hull. So whatever we think of him and whatever he did against Villa, Koeman had a good look at him when he first arrived, including in Premier League situations, and made the decision to allow the loan move. It's possible non-playing factors are also at work (I don't remember what the wage situation is with his loan, or if we even know), but I remember being surprised enough at the loan move that I thought 'well Koeman obviously has no plans for him then'.
  5. We're capable of howlers, to be fair.
  6. Wow, he's going for it.. all four attacking players in the starting lineup. Last time out Cork replaced Davis when injured... this time it's more attack-minded. interesting.
  7. When he does come back in we need a team rule that says he has first dibs at any set-piece, possibly even goal kicks. Seriously though I remember seeing him defer/be overruled by Tadic earlier in the season and there's no reason for that. Tadic has very very good delivery but JWP is exceptional.
  8. But will you stick around when Levy comes along offering more money to switch to Spurs? The fans deserve to know.
  9. All this and J-Rod still to come... enjoy the international break everyone!
  10. Definitely better if it's on NBCSN. As long as we win. Robbie Earle is busy thinking we're the best thing since, well, since Liverpool last season in his view... "they're the team that makes you smile when you think about them" was how he described us last week.

    Van Gaal

Probably mentally scarred from all those years captaining our reserves.
  12. Yup, NBCSN is showing the Man Utd - Palace game. We're on Live Extra as usual... Schedule at: http://www.nbcsports.com/live-extra-schedule I've always found the online streaming via nbcsports to be first-rate. If your Comcast package includes NBCSports then you should just be able to log in (using Comcast account login) and there it is. Tend to do this rather than watch the LiveExtra channels on the telly.
  13. Car parking better at Aldi than at Saints.
  14. I still don't quite get why he doesn't score goals this season. Did it ok last year, but every time he's through there's a sort of 'oh it's him' moment now. Does everything else very well, very quietly. Presume the above article is agent talk as January is coming. Davis never seems to be linked to anyone. Let's keep him under the radar...
  15. Only reason I could see to bring him back would be because of his understanding with J-Rod if J-Rod somehow needs help re-integrating into the setup. Those two (and Lallana) somehow seemed telepathically linked last season. That would be only reason I can think of that we might realistically want to do this.
  16. The question is "is this the most united the club has been?" I don't think we can answer right now. Success papers over cracks very very nicely... so to me right now because it's going so well, we don't know if there are significant cracks or where they are. A bad run, shock resignation or wacky transfer window and we might start to see where any fault-lines are. And there may not be any. We may be really united, and not in a plastic Manchester sense. I just don't think we can tell right now because of the momentum and current circumstance.
  17. We're not a typical early season wonder I think, but the fact we did it last year as well puts me more in mind of Norwich back in the late 80s/early 90s. They often seemed to have that great start and then fall away... except one time (93?) they kept it going enough to finished third. Not that historical comparisons mean anything, and football IS so different today, but that's what our start reminds me of the most.
  18. Why doing so well? Because ten years ago Rupert had us a radio station and top-notch catering. That kind of stuff really pays off down the line as we are now seeing. Also having a billionaire owner.
  19. So the observation was that they seem to be very consistent at scoring two goals, win or lose, in the last couple of months. So that means September and October I think. Let's take a quick look at all their results in that period: Hull 2-2 West Ham Newcastle 2-2 Hull West Brom 3-2 Hull Hull 2-4 Man City Hull 2-0 Crystal Palace Arsenal 2-2 Hull Liverpool 0-0 Hull Oh yeah, 6 out of 7.
  20. That thing is that Hull seem to always score 2 goals whether they win or lose, they're amazingly consistent at that the last couple of months. So we need to score 3. Simples.
  21. #SaintsFC team vs @stokecity: Forster, Clyne, Fonte ©, Gardos, Targett, Wanyama, Schneiderlin, S. Davis, Tadić, Long, Pellè.
  22. Very good. Should be made a 'required reading' pre-requisite before looking at the national press for anything to do with us.
  23. Lee is no longer in the squad though
  24. Mane for Long.
  25. So three own goals, a giveaway from their keeper, should've been a penalty that would obviously have changed the game and Sunderland would have gone on to win comfortably. Ok. Happy for the press and the rest of the world to believe that. The longer we stay under the radar the better.
