  1. Quietly confident and happy with the selection - Gaston and Caulker in particular should be really fired up for this and hoping to show how good they are as both are already at risk of stagnating careers after such early promise at young ages.
  2. Agree that the Clasie inclusion could be risky. Romeu on if we need to tighten up. Very nervous ahead of this one! We owe Liverpool a good beating.
  3. What a frustrating match - horrible 2nd half viewing with us hanging on and barely able to put two passes together and get out of our own half. Strange substitutions - Clasie for his first appearance wasn't what was needed against a fired up and determined Leicester side who were battering us. Romeu surely would have made much more sense? JayRod too has been poor and offered nothing on the left, although nobody really played well 2nd half. Credit to Leicester, though - what a hardworking side who never give up.
  4. They gave it to Mané I believe, although was still running around like a lunatic celebrating to really hear any post-match interviews/analysis! Pellé equally could have got MOTM - won the majority of balls, flicked on, held up well, great touch, some superb skill and passes and, of course, what a finish! He also didn't stop running and chasing down until the final whistle. Enormous credit to every single player but also thought that Cedric, Fonte, VVD, Wanyama and Davis were superb. What a win, still so happy and long may it continue!
  5. On the one hand I'd like to see us really go at them and attack from the start as they are low on confidence and may be fragile. On the other, I think setting up to be solid and frustrate them will get the fans on their backs if they fail to break us down and allow the likes of Mané to really threaten on the counter. No idea how this one is going to go!
  6. Great to get a good win, plus some impressive performances. Bertrand back is huge, was easy to see how much we've missed him. VVD looks a quality player, too.
  7. Overall, frustrated. We had so much of the ball but not good enough in front of goal. Created some good chances (J-Rod, JWP's conversion kick, Mane) but don't look near the often free-scoring team of last year. JWP and Davis both starting just doesn't seem to work. Did Romeu have a knock? Can't understand his absence otherwise, nor Yoshi coming on at RB! Grrr.
  8. Solid but certainly not spectacular! Agree that Mane and Romeu should improve things. Wouldn't mind seeing JWP and Davis being subbed off.
  9. Well said.
  10. Same. Also frustrates me to see him pointing to his name on the back of his shirt - yes, we know you're called Tadic mate!
  11. Great ground? Really? Do you mean because it's modern and relatively new? Whenever I've visited it's been soulless and largely empty with little or no atmosphere!
  12. Will take that. Some good memories from stadium:mk!
  13. Really hope we don't draw Reading now!
  14. Hope that this is a poor attempt at a joke?
  15. I don't think we were set up correctly from the start - our midfield was overrun 1st half and in hindsight we should have had an extra CM such as Romeu or JWP from the off, probably in place of Long. Unfortunately, their first goal was almost an exact copy of Newcastle's second against us last week. Their second right before HT gave us too big a mountain to climb. One of those days and performances, but RK would have learnt a lot from today I'm sure.
  16. Can add Tadic to that list, too.
  17. Overall, encouraging. Shows how far we have come to not play brilliantly, earn a point away from home and still come away slightly disappointed! Really thought Mane was going to convert one of those two late chances...Davis had a very solid, impressive game I thought. Wasn't sure about Jay Rod's role though?
  18. Absolutely. Disgraceful that Jose Fonte baby isn't in that team. But what a living legend he has been and continues to be for us.
  19. Scotty said there 'has' been confusion re Europa situation which is true so don't jump on his back - yes, I agree that it has been explained but there were still plenty of people today asking about it it seems. Not all users will have seen these conversations Bateman.
  20. I edited my post straight after realising I'd made that error - bit harsh calling me an 'idiot', Lets B Avenue. Chill out.
  21. Would rather Liverpool got through so that we knew before the season ended that 7th was enough. Wouldn't fancy ending 7th and then banking European football on Arsenal winning one match!
  22. Now time to cheer on Arsenal and then Liverpool for the only time this season!
  23. Thought we played well overall and were in clear control of the game at HT. Wondering how we managed to lose that...
  24. The vital 3 points and a bonus home defeat for Spurs - perfect!
