Classic flair player with obvious skill/talent that struggles to adapt to English football, is sold abroad and looks outstanding at times. Seems to me as though he is far too inconsistent, selfish and lightweight. His constant need to try to beat a player several times infuriates me - and I thought Tadic was guilty of doing this! Boufal takes it to a whole new level. That said, similar things were said about Mane at the beginning.

Thanks mate.

Away on holiday and can't get a stream - anyone got a link working? Ta!

Marsden for me, only because it was so unlikely and unnatural for the type of player he was! Davies would have at least had the license to try runs like that in training etc. being a striker.

JWP continues to divide opinion, I think if England had anyone else other than Southgate in charge then JWP wouldn't have been called up, it's largely because he was captain for the U21s under Southgate. That's not taking anything away from him though, he's certainly put in better and more consistent performances this season. Redmond fully deserves his call-up. FF will certainly be 3rd choice and Heaton should start. And Bertrand definitely deserves to start.

Probably simply the big, 'we mean business' statement they wanted to send out by splashing their cash on a player who they think has personality and will be in the headlines even when doing f**k all. To everyone else, and anyone with any sense, it just looks embarrassing re-signing a player for that amount that they let go for less than £1m, particularly now that we all see how average he is. On a different note, did anyone hear Rooney's post-match interview? He clearly stated that he saw the Mings stamp as he was there and that retrospective action will follow, however he missed the Ibra elbow (surprise, surprise). In the replays, Rooney is looking in completely the opposite direction when the stamp occurs! He has his back to the 'stamp' as he is appealing to the ref for a foul for Mings' sliding tackle. I'd love it if they showed Rooney the replay and then asked him how he saw it when looking in the opposite direction. What a lie!

My Fitbit tracked my sleep as 0hrs 39mins last night - nervous is an understatement! COYS! Let's win this!

I think FF coming back after that long injury layoff and keeping so many clean sheets in a row clouded the fact that he's not actually a great keeper - only that Arsenal away match last season do I remember him having a really good game. It's a shame that McCarthy got injured as he would probably be our Number 1 by now.

Great idea. The man behind all of this deserves to be honoured on the big stage.

Awaiting scan results according to SSN (apologies if this has already been mentioned further up). Should be an update tomorrow then? Unless Saints plan on keeping their cards close to their chest and we only know for certain when the line-up is announced on Weds eve?! Which is fairly likely.

Really have no idea what to expect, a bit like the 1st leg! Very difficult to make a prediction as we have been so inconsistent lately and it depends which Liverhampton team shows up.
-
Heaton is simply a much better keeper than Forster and has been for some time. Plus he's a leader and captain. Just another frustrating and annoying performance after such a hopeful victory on Weds. Forget the league, just do enough to stay clear of relegation and put everything into both cups now.

This made me laugh a lot!

I like FF as he's a model pro and decent guy, but I must admit that there are doubts surrounding him. As the OP suggests, he seems to be letting a lot of shots passed him and I don't recall many matches where he's made a string of saves (Arsenal away last season is the only one that springs to mind) unlike say Tom Heaton, who must surely be ahead of him in the England pecking order now. I agree that his lack of coming off his line to deal with through balls etc. is also worrying, he almost seems glued to the goal-line at times! Let's hope that he discovers some form again soon and comes good, but I don't think he'll ever be a top-draw goalie unfortunately.

I think Burnley will be hard to break down. They will sit deep and use Vokes as their outlet. If we take a while to break them down then we may become nervy - an early goal would be great as it would force Burnley to go for it a little more.

Although we could pass off the two away defeats as unfortunate (Mourinho on his OT debut was always going to get them fired up for it and Arsenal away was daylight robbery), failing to get at least one win against Watford, Sunderland and Swansea at home would signal a very poor start. All 3 seem fairly poor teams this season.

Disgusting, woeful officiating. 1) Blatant foul on Long right in front of the linesman not given. 2) Kos is down with a clear head injury - rules state the ref MUST stop play yet he sees it and continues as Arsenal were attacking. 3) What a ****ing soft penalty, wasn't a foul at all. Could argue Kos was offside/interfering with play if ref continued with open play, too. Robbed. Gutted. Fuming!

Who's she seeing on the side?!

Probably a case for Pied to start ahead of Cedric after what we saw today. Pied is better defensively, too, which might be what we need against Martial or whoever down our right.
-
Agree, can't see JWP getting in ahead of him too much this season!

Nathan Redmond Joins on 5 Year Deal - Official

This will be a really good signing I feel. Looks to have a lot of ability, great potential at such a young age and also appears to be a good character! I remember watching him play for Birmingham at 17 and he ripped the opposition apart down the right! Have been hoping we sign him since then! -
What a beautiful day! We are Europa League! So happy.
