None of those particularly stand out as doing great business so far. Still plenty of time to go and I'm sure Koeman will get the right people in without panic-buying.
I honestly don't mind which one plays as both are great young English players and do a great job. Voted for Clyne as want to see him get a World Cup call-up but it's superb to have these two players competing for one position.
Always liked Maya, he did well for us last season and I hope we keep him for a while as he's more than good enough. Reminds me a bit of Chris Perry when he played for us - dependable and a good reader of the game which makes up for a lack of height.
Sad to see Chaplow go, I know he doesn't have the quality to stay with us now but played a big part in our rise up the leagues.
Will always remember that goal vs Man Utd. One of our best bargains at £50k.
All the best Richard Chaplow!
Showed flashes of brilliance but had far more poor/average games than good/great games. The 'Oh Gaston Ramirez' chant soon became annoying too when he did little to justify us singing his name so much, particularly when other players consistently performed better than him yet still receive no such praise or encouragement.
I think his non-stop running and work rate appeals to the fans and increases his popularity. His finishing wasn't great last season and overall it was a 'settling in' season for him. More will be expected next season for sure, especially in terms of goals when played up top.
I'm hoping for...
Boruc, Clyne, Maya, Jos, Shaw, Cork, Morgan, Davis, Punch, JayRod, Lambert
Obviously Lallana starting would be great too but none of the wingers/attackers deserve to be dropped. COYR
Fox has never been worth the 1.8m we spent on him. We need to get another LB in in the summer to compete with Shaw and try to recoup as much of the money we wasted on Fox as we can, although we would do very well to get 1m for him I think.
