  1. First half. I can see the plan. Play a false nine and cling to dear life. i don't like it but If Sulemana wasn't poor it might have paid off. Spending 22M on him rather than recalling tella looking crazier by the minute. Had to at least make the keeper save the one on one(rather than tackling himself) & needs to cross the ball with his left foot rather than pass it out (just before they break and score the opener). As for the goal. Bednarek standling deeper than anyone while marking no one (just poor). ABK's marking of Haaland wasn't good but no clue why Bedanrek hands him over rather than stick like glue to haaland himself. No changes at Half-time confuses me completely too. The plan failed, they scored. Get Mara and djenepo on at HT.(the players who have actually scored against city this season). Just rolling on as if they hadn't scored is nuts.
  2. Honestly even if we beat them they've probably got enough where we struggle to catch them.
  3. Fair play to Bournemouth they are really showing fighting spirit.
  4. Slow-youn-essi again. A winger as a isolated striker too. It just screams we're petrified don't beat us 9-0. Personally i find it disappointing we haven't gone with players who did well last time we beat City(Djenepo and Mara) under jones.
  5. Need either a big upset against City or a much better set of results at full time. Ideally both
  6. I don't see the logic in starting tall paul a game where where we probably aren't going to have much of the ball. Orsic has done nothing on any of his outings to suggest their a premier league player there.
  7. We've zero indication we can win 4 of 4 games (against the likes of palace, Fulham, forest and bournemouth). Even 3 out of 4 seems rather too miraculous given our record this season and current abject levels of play.
  8. Wotte are you on about. Wotte had a 22.2% win ratio whereas Poorvliet had a 25% one.
  9. Concerning how deluded the team os. Hearing jwp talk about how we were by far the better team. Having more possession by passing safely isn't being better. Barring onachu late chance I never felt we seriously threatened them in the 2nd for all our pedestrian possession.
  10. Looking at tonight's fixtures i feel this is the moment we'll start looking cut adrift.
  11. Bazanu KWP Bednarek Salisu(otherwise DCC) Perraud JWP Alcaraz Lavia Walcott Adams (otherwise Mara) Djenepo As much as i want to see Onachu given a proper go, Man City isn't the game for that. However i've got the sinking this will be the one he's thrown into rather a more suitable game.
  12. What a bunch of pathetic cowards. Deserve to be relegated I'd forgive them for losing if they actually attempted to win.
  13. What a depressing lineup. No attacking drive in a must win game. Reminds of games like Leeds/Forest where we've just crawled into our shells an lost. Hope i'm wrong. Is ramadan a factor in sulemena benching? Any news on why Adams is missing?
  14. I don't really see a draw tomorrow as enough (unless we're going to do something crazy like beat Arsenal or City)
  15. I love international football. Not an england fan, so i too couldn't care less about england. Northern Ireland swatting aside San Marino made my evening though.
  16. Just seen it and struggling to see how it is really different from Fernandes shoving the lineman in the back. Was expecting a di canio moment.
  17. Haven't seen it yet. Was it worse than what Fernandes did a little while back and got off scot free?
  18. Ahh Danny Ings, well there goes the clean sheet.
  19. We're doing just enough to not be totally cut adrift but we're probably 3 points(plus 1 for Goal Difference) adrift currently, once you factor in team's games in hand. We're still going to need something special. If we lose to West Ham next you'd have to think it's done but then again this team could bizarrely turn up against City i suppose.
  20. Think the commentators said taken to hospital with suspected broken ribs.
  21. I can see what selles was trying to do with his lineup. A compact midfield, the problem wasn't for me S.Armstrong who was ok, it was Moi who was shockingly bad. The use of Sulemana as an impact sub was decent too. Saints have too often been reulctant to do that, last season i was bemused why we barely used Tella in that manner.
  22. Please turn up Chelsea
  23. According to JWP " I know Fraser [Forster] very well, he used to be my next-door neighbour so I've taken a few penalties against him in my garden with my little boy, so we have something going on there."
  24. I think it is VAR being used according to the rules. There was contact, therefore in no way a clear and obvious error.
  25. Great comeback, useful point but probably needed more. An infuriating team. Turn up for certain games and then go missing for others 2nd & 3rd goals were down to having a makeshift CB in AMN who wasn't great aerially. (Just bad luck and he did his best out of position and was ueseful bringing the ball out) Walcott excellent again and deserved his goal. Good to see 1 go in for adams, the kind he scores when he doesn't have time to think about it. Sulemana may be more use as a impact sub running at tired legs, as that worked well today. My main ire is reserved for Elyounessi, horribly lazy causing their first. A coward before their second (bottling a shot when well placed and passing to Adams). Just generally like playing with 10 men.
