Agree completely, Moyes would be an awful fit with Saints approach. Newcastle/Sunderland are where i'd expect his style to fit in.

His pace is an asset and if we're not going to be investing heavily, bringing him back into fold as a squad player seems a reasonable option.

Loans for gazzaniga and Hooiveld is what I'd expect. Can't see anyone paying fees for them. Osvaldo I'd mark down to 4m and gaston to 7m. No way we're going to get top dollar for underperforming players.

Really don't want moyes. I like the way we play currently and moyes would have us playing much more direct and don't think it would suit our players either. Moyes I'd expect to get newcastle or Sunderland job at some point.

Osvaldo and gaston(sadly he hasn't fitted in to how we play and I don't see that changing especially whilst Adam is here.) Don't want to sell any of first 11. Right back and centre mid are the areas that we have depth to cope with it if it happens.

So what exactly has Wilshere done to earn the number 7 shirt? Really that's not an indication of Roy's thinking because i think Wilshere was fortunate to make the squad and would be crazy if promoted into first 11 over others who have actually had good seasons.

If he had to go to Liverpool getting agger(who seems much less in favour there) as part of the deal might make it more palatable to me. All the rumours though are making my default position reject.

It is over double the amount we paid for him. However I would be very worried about the ability to replace him with someone of the same quality. I'd hope we'd resist selling him.

Suarez isn't worth the 70m amount being banded about, bale wasn't worth the fee spurs extracted from Real Madrid. However when the selling club has no need to sell and no desire to sell the fees get inflated. If Liverpool want lallana they'll have to pay over the odds just as Real Madrid will have to do if they want Suarez. I don't think they should be allowed to bully us into taking a considerably lower figure.

Man utd paid £28m for Fellaini. He wasn't an England international which adds a considerable premium. Arsenal bid 40m for Suarez last summer and Liverpool outright rejected it despite there being a release clause. 20m is joke figure that would imply to other clubs that we like being shafted.

Indeed, I'd be expecting in region of 35m, not the joke sums being banded about.

I'll bide my time to see if rumours of player sales turn out to be true or false before choosing my side of the fence.

I do believe Cortese would be extremely hard nosed about these bids & in terms of fighting to convince Potchettino that the better place to be is Saints. We'll soon see if the new regime has any strength in rejecting these bids and competing to retain our manager. If we show weakness it will be like blood in the water to sharks.

If the board are unable to convince Pochettino they are ambitious enough to make him stay, what would stop De Boer(even in the unlikely event that he would want to leave Ajax) following him out the door 6 months down the line after trigger happy Levy fires again.

I do like that tone of articles i've seen today has shifted to us not wanting to sell. Still think the amounts being talked about for a likely attacking england starter at the peak of his career are insulting. £20M is a joke, add another 15M at least to that.
