No confidence from me. Right now rather toothless going forward combined with gift wrapping opposition goals. If i had to guess a 2-1 loss.
-
I have no faith that we’ll stop handing opposition cheap goals. Loss to winless Middlesbrough very much my expectation.
-
Yeah selling tella was nuts. Promising to replace him but not doing so criminal. fraser is as decidedly average as I thought(despite oot reaction to his qpr cameo)
-
Clueless management. Decidedly unimpressed. Expect us to hand Middlesbrough their 1st win at the weekend. what’s the point of a set piece coach who’s only tactic is to play to opposition’s strengths too.

Pathetic again
-
ridiculous play again.
-
Very lucky escape. Don't think ipswich did much wrong there
-
We can't carry on with the same set up as we're embarrassingly easy to score against. Curious if we'll go 3 at the back.
-
They learned lessons on how to replicate it.
-
Brainless Martin, he just loves conceding goals.
-
Pathetic by saints. Could be 5 or 6 down. Just don't see any future in Martin's shambolic approach.
-
We're still ahead on pathetic defending. Need to hope for much greater calamity from leicester
-
Another 9 nil
-
My fear with international break was it would dilute any reaction to the pathetic Sunderland performance. Saints just carrying on their stupidity.
-
While it would nice to have a keeper that would organise the defence, I'd prefer bazanu focus on sorting his own deficiencies. If he gets himself in better positions to make saves he'll resuscitate his stats imo.
-
It's interesting that they have conceded a third as many playing the same way as us.
-
The way i saw it the 2nd and 3rd goals are the slightly concerning ones that make me query his reaction/movement/positioning. I think other keepers would put themselves in better positions and therefore save them. The 2nd is standing flat footed for a long distance shot and then can't react when the ball deflects. If the ball is being hit left to right, surely if he was moving that direction he'd have been better placed to react to the deflection. The 3rd he seems to be unbalanced , meaning he is struggles to shift his weight and get down to his left. He's certainly not the reason we lost but i don't think the stats are completely lying either. He's going to be our keeper(because he's the only 1 we've got who can play way martin wants with the ball), so hopefully coaching staff can work with him and develop.
-
Best move for both Saints and Moussa. I do wonder if under different coaching if he'd have developed more, whereas we seemed to take him backwards whilst trying to smooth his rough edges.
-
Interesting hearing on TSP that leicester have 5 senior keepers. Reinforces the feeling that we should have done something different than the Lumley signing even if we were aiming for Bazanu to suddenly find his feet. Right now we're in a position where we really have no alternative to keep persisting with him and hope that he has more competent displays where we protect him better (Qpr) than games like saturday where he was poor and we exposed him badly.
-
Regret paying £11 to watch that garbage on Sky.(though glad i switched off just before end and missed 5th) Annoying there's an internatonal break as you worry the reaction you'd expect to this pathetic display will be muted by time. Not sure anyone comes out with credit. Bazanu made a couple of saves in 2nd half but first half he was dire. I really worry in particular about his reactions, he seems so slow to get down and across for shots. Wings is a major issue for me. We've lost a quality wide player in Tella and not replaced him. We badly need some good version of sulemana as Edozie isn't good enough to start and that just leaves fraser.
-
We've been completely soft today. all 50/50 sunderland seemingly want it more. Holgate not exactly looking great and Bazanu awful. With exception of a 5 minute spell where we could have had a penalty we've been desperately poor. No clue why adams wasn't brought on.
-
We don't seem to have anyyone up front. Get adams on pls
-
so the 3 in the starting lineup we rejected bids for (Smallbone, KWP, Mara?)
-
Earnshaw 'best transfer window ever', hmm short memories
-
Not a fan of the lineup. Why drop charles who has been really good. Hopefully Mara is upfront rather than out wide where he has never shown any aptitude. No Sulemana on bench, guess he wasn't expected to stay and we'll see what happens after this week
