We've lost one top player definitely and are rumoured to lose another 5/6. Tell me of a single premier league club this has happened to in the past. Selling multiple players is akin to playing russian roulette with relegation.

Fabregas is only going for 30m because there's a release clause in his contract. Without that any club would probably be spending a lot more. Saints apparent valuation of 30m for lallana seems much more like the minimum market rate to me. Arsenal paid 40m for ozil, man U paid 27.5m for Fellaini etc.

If we sell multiple players we won't be competitive. I don't know if it will be as bad as that relegation season where we obviously had no centre backs and a very weak centre mid. However no team inside the top 10 has ever sold multiple 1st team members, not even Swansea when they did excellently 2 seasons ago. If we do so we'll slide down the league and be lucky to avoid relegation. Board needs to realise that sales need to be staggered over the years to allow a proper transition to happen. They just can't sell everyone and then bring in a bunch of new players and expect anything but embarassment on the pitch.

Registration doesn't matter. If he comes on and scores, the commentators will describe him as Liverpool's Rickie Lambert not Saints.

Definitely think it suits Liverpool's commercial agenda to have more Liverpool England players on show as well as avoiding risk that those players have stunning tournaments and their value and interest increases. Don't want Lallana to leave at all but as Saints Captain he simply has to go to the world Cup as a Saints player at bare minimum. This board apparently want to increase global profile and world cup is biggest global showcase and Lallana is an england starter. Equally imagine Baines pulls a hamstring and Shaw showcases his world class talent on a global stage as a saints player. He'd be suddenly worth far more than Man U are apparently offering too. Only desperate idiots would agree any deal at this point in time.

Gutted for us Happy for him Hope he does well for them except when he plays us of course I won't have similar feelings for the others though if they try and force their way out and destroy what saints have built.

Fair to say i ain't happy with the direction of travel. I wouldn't go as far to say that i've 100% made up my mind yet despite my fears/worries. The manager and Lallana/Shaw stuff are very much tipping points which i'm waiting nervously for any sign of positive outcomes. I want to see actions that back up claims of ambition for european football No top half team has ever sold multiple star players in the past and therefore we shouldn't be doing so.

Well the new manager should have been identified weeks ago since it was apparently clear to Krueger and co apart from legalities that potch was off.

If they are in the process of selling the entire first 11 i doubt a managerial appointment will be good news.

If true final confirmation that asset stripping is taking place and that they aren't even bothered about getting value as long as they can get money quickly. Really worrying if true. Accepting subpar bids from liverpool for our captain would be bad. Letting them making off with Lovren too would be worse. No doubt the rest of the good players in the1st team squad would follow if that is the case. Only thing i can see coming out in the wash is our premiership status. Find it odd that they are merrily getting youngsters signed to contracts whilst ignoring senior squad. Wonder if they just see see the senior squad as cash cows to be milked for every penny they can and replaced with the academy players and a few cheap purchases.

They are buying him because we are willing to sell him dirt cheap. Added benefit for them is it gives them an added lever in ensuring they steal the rest of our players they want for equally cheeky amounts.

Disagree saints have to act in saints interests not lallana's. If we let him and all the other targeted first team players we will be in free fall next season. Other clubs reject bids because they have ambition so should we.

Very disappointing if Lallana is trying to force the club to sell immediately. Hoping impression that we are going to reject liverpool's undervalued bullying bid is true. Saints captain has to go to World Cup as a saints player. Ideally we keep him. Worst case scenario we get our valuation.
