He's the keeper I'd like us to go for.
-
Well if you lose top quality players, will top quality replacement players want to join? I'm not jumping around saying its a certainty but if Hernandez rejects us out of hand it seems a reasonable to raise the issue.
-
Not particularly disappointed about Hernandez thing as i feel he's a player who has gone backwards badly. It does highlight a worrying trend about trying to bring in players of sufficient quality given the exodus that is occurring and the effect on attraction of saints imo.
-
I'm not suggesting its smart, just an understandable reaction. Equally don't think he(apparently) should be insulting Saints via papers.
-
Agree he's a fantastic player, even if his comments are not those of a decent person imo. Last centre back who looked that good for us was Killer imo.
-
Hmm pretty understandable social media reaction to what are apparently direct quotes. I'm assuming he hasn't rushed to deny the comments via twittter.
-
If new comments are in any way true, i'd keep hold of him just to make a statement that such behaviour is completely unacceptable.
-
Well we bought him as a proven league 1 goalscorer & then didn't have to spend millions on him upon promotion to the prem as a 30 yr old.
-
I definitely have worries about going for 29 year old with no prem experience. At the end of the day guess have to trust Koeman that isn't going to be flop.

Do You Like the new kit (2014/15 unbranded)?

Not a fan. If they were going to go back to stripes they should have gone for rank xerox design. -
Is this a little dig at Pochetino from Cork?

If true hopefully that will get rectified quickly now then. -
Seems a rather mediocre kit imo, but then i wasn't someone who was madly upset about not kit not being stripes last season. I'm far more worried about the players that will be playing in it.
-
A we were able to get big fees due to long contracts B Keeping happy and rewarding those who gave done well would be nice, rather than making them have to consider somewhere where they are wanted.
-
Agree completely. With all the departures you'd think tying down two important players from last season would be a priority.
-
I'd be very worried if we start season with only one left back, and that being an unproven(if potentially talented) academy prospect. Don't view playing right backs at left back as a sensible plan.
-
Very disappointing if true. We should reject all bids and make an example of him if true. If not then others will follow his lead.
-
After the bad experience of Captain Lallana the Liver bird, i'd be leaning solid Steven Davis as Captain. Obviously Morgan has attributes to be good captain but would be nervous that he'd just be part of a conveyer of annual captaincy change.
-
The England squad is the clear common denominator. Malign place that certainly isn't about performing for nation on world stage perhaps.

Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m
Baird of the land replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Nope, still angry. If anything his atrocious behaviour threatening to strike, trying to force deal through against interests of saints puts the story of board ignoring phone calls in a completely different light. He's burnt his bridges and part of me very much hopes he flops there. -
Personally think he should have been in the squad. England are in painful need of a midfielder of his ilk, especially when there only option in the team in that role was the ageing legs of Gerrard. Sadly England squads are rarely picked upon putting out a strong team to suit a formation but rather an accumulation of names. P.s Would be great news if they have agreed contracts.
-
Not really a fan of sooner or later someone will get round to it approach. Still hoping that is the reason and that contracts will get sorted soon and i won't wake to find they've left for rivals for minimal fees. That's at least preferable the notion they are not wanted.
-
I'd find it very worrying if we are incapable or unwilling to offer him acceptable terms to someone of his quality.
-
Yeah crazy for me. Reasonably young, british, talented, hard working. One of my favourite players of the current bunch and i would be majorly disappointed if we didn't sign him down to a long-term contract.
-
Not writing his own piece is poor. Not editing or proof reading somebody else's copy that his name is going to be tagged to is inexcusable.
-
That's rather laughable. Not really a wordsmith is he. As far as i'm concerned if there's any truth in his alleged actions he can burn in hell as far as i'm concerned.
