By the way - how do you get the small picture by your name - you obviously go onto my profile - what next ??

Edited first post -worry was over having same Striking pair Guly and Rickie with no other Striking options on the bench if Barney gets sent down.
-
My concern with Barney is that if he doesn't get off with a fine and or community service then Saints will be left with a predictable line-up of Rickie and Guly game after game and Saints will be predictable. David Connolly is no use. Surely need to strengthen Striking Options. Good News about Guly signing for Saints.

I think on risk that Bart will not play against Man Utd and that may be the last we see of him this season with Kelvin playing in goal for all the rest of the League Games. The general consensus is that this is a good thing. My point was that Bart was good last year in JPT - also kept a clean sheet against Blackpool and I would have liked to have seen him selected for some Away Games where there is more likelihood of Saints conceding - he is a good shot stopper. Whether that is the right decision - no-one has any way of proving one way or another. Let's keep a clean sheet tonight.
-
Bart was really good in the JPT last year - why not mix it up between Kelvin and Bart and select Bart against Oldham. If kelvin leaks 2 goals what have Saints got to lose ?
-
Forecast is good at Reserve team level - Bart has more potential
-
It's not about Brentford when Kelvin was poor. Saints have been weak on the road this season and concede regularly. When Bart plays Saints seem to keep clean sheets.
-
Including the JPT last year - each game I've seen him play - he has impressed.
-
Bart seems to leak few goals and should be given a go in the League Games.

Noticed at the Game today that all the Saints Players seem to have had their hair cut. Seemed to do the trick - it was a good win today !!

Although not legally required to - the Saints Fans would appreciate a gesture by the Club with regard to Away travel after the Charlton fiasco.
-
Conditions were no different between 08:30 and 12:00 - so why not make an early call and save the Away Fans Travelling. It was a fiasco plain and simple. Page 55 of the Echo today explains what the Football League have to say - Charlton didn't even inform Andy D'Urso that a precautionary pitch inspection had been made on the morning of the 24th December.
-
Been informed by Sarah Draper - Head of Ticket Office that there is to be NO REFUND for using the Official Saints Travel Coaches with the wasted day and fiasco surrounding the Charlton game which was called off 1 hour before the game was due to go ahead. This is bad news for Saints Supporters. No one in their right mind is going to travel and see that game again when it is re-scheduled. Between Charlton FC and Andy D'Urso they have made a right mess of it and it is the Saints Fans who have to pick up the tab.
-
I was led to believe that Saints were refunding the Coach Travel as well as the Charlton Tickets. I went in today to St Marys and spoke to Sarah Draper - the Senior Ticket Officer and the latest is that it seems that they are not refunding travel. This is very disappointing as the whole fiasco is nothing to do with the Saints Fans - it is either Charlton for not preparing the ground sufficiently well or the FA. SFC should be taking action to secure monies for their fans - and not sitting back and letting the fans pay out for a wasted day and seeing nothing. Nobody in their right mind is going to pay twice and travel to see the game again. Southampton Football Club should look after their supporters.
-
The good thing about going by Coach is that if the game is unfortunately called off - you get a full refund
-
Due to unforeseen circumstances i am taking back 2 tickets to st mary's this afternoon at 4pm for the dagenham and redbridge game. There are also 2 seats for the coach available. As this game is sold out - this could be good news for 2 people.

Team Birthday's coming up - Jose Fonte 22nd December. Dan Harding 23rd December. Guly 31st December.

That's how I read the stats - otherwise does not make any sense - Reference Page 60 Daily Echo - Sports Spotlight

The statistics compliled by the Daily Echo show Lambert and Barnard have been by far the most successful strike pairing for Saints this season. Out of all the other combinations only one has managed to produce a solitary goal. That was for the Lambert and Guly pairing but that is from four games together - two of which were victories and two of which were losses. Adkins might partner Lambert with Connolly against Walsall - though in their three league starts Saints have suffered three defeats.
-
Rechecked the info - Lambert / Guly Played 4 Won 2 Drawn 0 Lost 2 Goals 1 Seems to be the next best option if Barney is crocked.
-
Read the Echo today and it confirmed what every Saints Fan has been calling for and that is another Striker to join Saints. Offload Connolly in the New Year. Without Barney - Saints seem unable to score goals. Lambert / Barney P10 W6 D4 L0 Goals 10 Lambert / Guly P4 W2 D0 L0 Goals 1 Lambert P1 W0 D0 L1 Goals 0 Lambert / DC P3 W0 D0 L3 Goal 0

These guys in the pub were well dressed and looked well connected and talking lots about football.
-
Not a Reporter - he is a she. it's all been quiet about Barney and wanted an update as I have been away working. Read Saturdays Echo and read Barney is being re-bailed until 22 December again.

While out last night in a pub .. overheard a conversation regarding RL. Seem to be saying that RL would be going to Swindon and in return Saints would get Charlie Austin + cash. Anyone else heard this ????????
