Nice to think that someone thinks I'm a legend!!! Not sure if I can definitely claim it but me and my mate used to have a silly competition on who could get the most amount of letters into the Thursday Saints mailbag in the Echo and then see how many people thought we were mad and commented on our letter (I won) but on one of the letters I wrote that Chris Marsden was a football genius and it stole the headline accross the 2 pages of the Echo and then weeks later the Saints were selling official CMFG tee shirts....

His comments must of been too boring for even these then lol

My mate was interviewed at Oldham, spoke for bloody ages too so that will be interesting when he's on there!

Chris Marsden true Saints legend! I was one of the 1st people to show support for Chris and in the early days got laughed at and often told that he wasn't even good enough for the championship, then all of a sudden the support grew for him and rightly so he turned many games from being a loss or a draw to a draw or a win. I even had a flag with CMFG on it. Would love him to come back to Saints one day as a coach or something, maybe in years to come to team up once again with Wayne Bridge...

At the end of the day people can read between the lines all they want and make up loads of stories. I think the funniest one so far was that Man U were interested after Alex Ferguson watched us at Oldham yet isn't it his job to watch teams that they're playing in a couple of weeks time? Especially as Oldham is only down the road for him. It's also so easy to say Arsenal are looking at him and about to buy him considering their previous links with us and young stars. So what if a scout comes to watch us on occassion. Just the same as Liverpool, they're desperate for a good young player who is likely to play for them for years to come and help bring back the glory days but realistically they're probably looking at a dozen other players. I saw the whole Adkins interview as positive and in my eyes if he goes it will be because he wants to go and he's been blinded by the lights rather than Saints selling him. If we get £5mill or £10mill for him who's to say that we can't attract a couple of decent players and bring in more youngsters of about his age and flurrish with our youth facilities?

Good original post but it's no coincadence that we didn't play well at the start of the season without Adam Lallana and we struggled creativitly without him on Saturday. Having said that we are better now then at the start of the season and with lots of away games coming up the need for a creative midfield player is less as long as Lallana's injury isn't long term and we keep oxo.

With the club not putting on another coach until they have a full coach on the reserve list has anyone got any suggestions to get to Tranmere that is cheap but quickish? Ta

I think Adkins should give Lambert until our first game in January to start scoring, if he hasn't done anything by then maybe he should get a week or 2 off to work on his game and maybe go back to basics. I think although he hasn't been scoring he has tried to add more to his game and had a bit of success but not enough. He should just start shooting more and the goals and form will come but maybe a week or 2 off may help him.

I'm not sure of starting Connolly and Lambert my team would be Davis Harding Martin Fonte Butterfield Dickson Hammond schiderlin Chaplow Lallana Lambert with the pacy players like Guly, Oxo, Connolly on the bench

Porterloo was great for interviews just what you need especially if you've just lost something to laugh at.

Go with the strongest side available with a c few fringe/development players on the bench and ready to come on if we are winning. No point changing a team that's in form when we haven't got a midweek game.

Went last year and did find it fun even with it being a stupid trip to make on a Tuesday night but undecided about it this year as I want to go to Walsall and can only make 1 away game before Christmas. Um decisions!
