Generous alcohol consumption must come as a shock after living in the strict teetotal country of Poland...

I'm coming from Bedford so I'm taking the coach to MK then the train to Stockport, changing again at Blackburn and yet again at Bolton... on the way back I change at Preston. Basically a whistle-stop tour of crap Lancashire towns.

Any Merseyside teams away would be good - never been up there myself.

He must be sooooo excited about his Carling Cup goal against the mighty Shrews. At amy rate somebody's got to kiss the Arsenal badge. On a thinly related note I found this funny: http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/sport/sport-headlines/ridiculing-arsenal-to-become-a-hate-crime-201109194319/

I would, but I may abstain from orality and just get down to the main event.

I would say two very big ones were left off: 1. The assissination of Rabin in 1995, IMO the death knell for peace in the Middle East. 2. Pakistan's acquisition of the bomb. The instability of Pakistan worries me more than Israel, N Korea or Iran having nuclear weapons.

I suggested a few years ago that Bryan Robson would make a good manager.

I'm sure I've seen Benali in a similar list, which shows it's all down to opinion...

Seaborne, making his first appearance since August, on as an 84th minute sub, first touch of the ball.

The best non-football related post I've read in while on this forum.

I disagree with this. La Liga have Valencia, Sevilla, Atletico. SPL have, er, Motherwell.

I hate all of them, but especially Clarkson and Davina McCall.

I was just thinking that 25 years is about right for something like this.

What's the point, they'll only get a slap on the wrist. There is no true justice anymore.

I once had the fortune to go with a really hot girl. Gave head like you would not believe, great body, funny, smart... she dumped me a while back, and I never really got over it (even though I am happily married now, it sticks in my mind, you know). The other day, she Facebooked me, we became friends, and while I am glad to renew our acquaintance, the years have not been kind to her. 'Lucky escape' springs to mind. Beatts is a lot like that. We weren't there to witness his slow slide to fat mediocrity, and I think a lot of people on here would be very disappointed in the player he has become. Yes, I would like a genetically-engineered 2002-era James Beattie, but the 2011 version does not hold the same appeal.

Fans of Celtic and Rangers have ridiculously high expectations. Just cos they win SPL titles, Scottish Cups and have experience in Europe they think they are on a par with Man United and Chelsea. I may have my doubts about this loan, but it won't be swayed one way or another by what's written on the Celtic boards.

Perhaps we are being a tad unfair on the Skates. On one hand we wonder how they can continue to blindly support such a corrupt club, on the other we laugh at them for low attendance rates. I for one applaud P*mpey for their dwindling attendance. It may be mostly down to their FA cup-era glory hunting hangers-on growing tired of Championship football, but perhaps some of the less primitive among the blue few are finally waking up to the overpowering stench of legal and moral corruption hanging over Fratton Park. May the blue few continue to become even fewer. It speaks well of Portsmouth.

The "how did brighton get so annoyed with us" thread
jjsaint replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
A lot of posts on 'that' Brighton thread just showed that some of their supporters seem to understand very little about football.
