I'm glad we did this because: 1. It was the right thing to do. His career would have been destroyed otherwise, and if at all possible a solution should be found in such situations. 2. It increases our options. I'm not convinced that he is one of our best eleven (and he will need to be OK with this) but when looking at the frailty of our options of late then it's great to see him back. 3. As has been mentioned, this may free up some funds for any transfers that may come through in the next few days.

Last night I had a late meal (about midnight) of a massive ribeye, some asparagus, and mash mixed with slightly off extra mature cheddar and a couple of chillies. Their 'gift' should be ready any minute now.

Might this not work in his favour...

Jos, best of a bad bunch.

Me too. Chrikey between this and the Pompey situation my productivity will decline sharply.
-
Exactly. They would've been toast a long time ago, and he would have loved it.

It's the law of averages. Eventually they will get what's coming to them, simply because they won't change their business practice until it's too late. I think they very well may get away with it for now, but if you keep stabbing yourself in the nuts, eventually your nuts will fall off.

Sounds like he 'went native' while at Pompey. Wonder if he's sh*gging his sister yet...

If Poopey do go bust before the end of the season, and the top of the table changes because of this, you can be sure that WHU, Cardiff etc will sue the Football League.

This could be the big one...

Concrete doggie boots? I thought the (alleged) Russian Mafia were out of the picture...

If Maynard to Wigan is true, that surprises me. They'll definitely be in the Championship next season so he'll have a few months in the PL tops. I would like to see more new signings, but I'm just glad that we're not losing our top players. Much happier for Maynard to go to Wigan than RL, Fonte or Adam... As for Hooper, I think that says loads about his ambition. Better off at Celtic than here if that's the case.
-
Of course he didn't. It's no big deal scoring against the skates.
-
Sharp would be a fantastic signing IMO.
-
You've got to admire his ambition.

Give us a clue at least...

Got a meeting Monday night until 9. Can't even watch it on TV. Gutted.

I agree that a massive amount of medium & high profile signing does not necessarily guarantee success. Look at Leicester. However I'm not particularly worried about integration. For once we have a manager & coaching staff that I trust to make the right decisions most of the time. Any problems with the team 'gelling' will be addressed and remedied.

I got 6/10. Not bad. Getting back to the original thread: Amazing if true. Almost certainly not true, therefore almost certainly not amazing.

Mountain Dew - anyone drink this stuff?
jjsaint replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in The Muppet Show
This is a widely held rumour and is completely untrue. However, it's still pretty frightening stuff, not fit for human consumption. -
your club has no chane of getting a celtic star player .
jjsaint replied to hooper88's topic in The Saints
I think that hooper88 must be a WUM. From the misspellings to gems like 'world class club' and 'Star players like larsson etc have graced our club', you can almost smell the deep fried butter sizzling on the keyboard. It's too perfect... come on, hooper88, who are you really! -
Delgado was arguably the biggest waste of money. Delap, our record signing as I believe, at least played more than a handful of matches.
-
I did not go to the Palace matches so haven't seen Zaha. £10m really isn't a lot these days from top Prem clubs, it's like Monopoly money now.

Sh*t now I feel a bit bad about that joke... I saw them in 1989 and was well impressed.
