I feel a bit sick.

Perfect timing!

Gid I f****** hate them. Sounds like they've not come to play football, they've come to take out our squad...

Great. Thrilled about Lambert & Richardson starting.

I wish I could be there today, can't stop thinking about it!

My mother, a lifelong smoker, has been doing very well with electronic cigarettes. I never ever thought I'd see the day when she even cut down, much less quit. I quit cold turkey due to a perfect storm of a pregnant wife, an especially nasty chest infection, and the looming smoking ban. I've had about 10 since then, so a few moments of weakness

Andy Carroll's very existence offends me on a very deep level. SRL for me.

You're right - I should pick a side and stick to it... I'm going to the main board. It's more fun there & I suspect I will not be missed. I'll leave everyone to their righteous indignation...

Mind you I'd be happy enough if the f*****s were shot in the head without any trial whatsoever.

I must have got the wrong SWF... I thought I was on Saints Web Forum not the Socialist Workers Forum

Without downplaying how terrible he was against Blackpool, we need to give him a chance.
-
I'll admit I was being lazy with that statistic!

If we lose the rest of our remaining games we could finish 8th. Either are about as likely. Personally I think we'll go on a bad run and scrape second place.
-
I'll go for: Davis 6 - Some great saves early on, but looked a bit shaky in places. Butterfield 4 - Poor. Fonte 4 - Worst I've seen him play. Hooiveld 4 - See above. Fox 5 - Best of a bad bunch in the back four. One or two decent balls. Schneiderlin 6 - One of the least bad players on the pitch. Cork 5 - Didn't really notice him much. Lallana 6 - Went missing in after an excellent start. Chaplow 5 - Not his best effort. When you're subbed for de Ridder in the half, you know it's a bad performance. Guly 3 - Terrible match today. One of the players I think we can do without. Sharp 2 - We would have been better off playing with 10 men. It just wasn't his day. Subs: de Ridder 5 - Chaplow, de Ridder, a disinterested toddler... wouldn't have made much difference. The OED definition of meh. Barnard n/a - I had lost interest by the time he came on. I can see us f*cking this up and coming third. I really can. (Not wrist-slitting yet, just concerned)...

True. We've been riding our luck for a while, just needs to last a bit longer...

Which may work in our favour when we reach the Prem... if we reach the Prem...

I never hated him. All he said was that the move didn't feel right & he never settled in or some such thing. No biggie. I also feel that he gave a bit less than 100% when we played West Brom at the end of the 2007-08 season (IIRC a draw helped us stay up).

If we go up, what away games would you want to go to?

It's my 40th in September so I wouldn't mind an away day in Manchester or Merseyside, or maybe the North East... -
I just want automatic promotion. 1st or 2nd doesn't matter to me. Personally I'm not fussed which division we're in. However I do worry about the long-term health of the club if we fail to achieve promotion to the Premiership. If we don't go up this year, who's to say we'll go up next season? Or the one after that? Is it likely that ML's estate will continue to fund a 'five-year plan' that turns into six, or seven or eight? Do we as a club even have a right to ask for unlimited funds in a league which does not generate income? I never, never, never want to go back to the way I felt in the spring and summer of 2009. The only way to ensure that we will continue to have a club to support is if that club is in the Premier League. Thanks to Sky and plastic top 4 fans for killing football, etc but that's the modern world Therefore I am hoping for a Reading win if West Ham fail to win their game in hand on Tuesday. If Wham beat Peterborough then I may hope for a draw.

Yes if we don't go up. Yes if we do go up and we are content with being mid- to bottom table. No if we have ambitions beyond this.

'Battery' will be apt for 7 April.

When I first looked at this I thought it was a new thread, and that Wotton was coming back to us...
