  1. Same here. I actually listened to that little voive inside me that said 'stop'! Went to the Prince of Wales, Royal Oak, Woo Woo and the Grapes. Not a good pint of beer in sight... Finished with a Benali Biryani at Kuti's.
  2. I don't give a toss what Man U fans think of us. It isn't my cup of tea to dress up like a clown or whatever but I admire the spirit of those that do.
  3. But it will cost - so many of these players are on ridiculously high wages. Maybe on a pay as you play basis?!?
  4. Forecast? Punch may be a close second though.
  5. Cheers Pauly. My wife is a Norwich supporter so they are a second team of sorts.
  6. As I recall Kevin Miller got us out of the sh*t our first year down. I don't recall Ostlund being that bad.
  7. West Ham will do it. I'd rather have Cardiff.
  8. This. Awkward away day compared to WHU and Brum for me. But I used to live in Cardiff & would love to see them go up. That friendly rivalry between Cardiff & Swansea should be interesting in the Prem! I just do not not not want Blackpool. The Premiership is a better place without mediocre comedians like rent-a-quote Olly.
  9. My liver aches.
  10. I am wearing my 2003/4 Saints shirt, which due to multiple washes and expansion of my girth no longer fits. I will wear it over an equally ill-fitting T-shirt, of a different colour to red and white and with lettering showing through. Over this I will borrow my wife's salmon pink cardigan. The above will be liberally stained with pie no later than 12.45pm. I plan to wear the tight blue jeans I have owned since 1993. I don't know about socks yet, but I will wear my cheap blue and white trainers, and not tie the laces very well so they keep coming undone. See you there!
  11. I've always liked Coventry, hopefully I'll feel the same in 24 hours I thought League One was pretty dire all in all I'm afraid. There will be some good days out though, and I certainly expect Cov will be promotion contenders.
  12. How about admin, relegation to League One and being four days away from going out of business in 2009 ? That was pretty sickening.
  13. We have been dire for 3 or 4 years out of the 7 we've been out of the Prem. So yes, we've lost quite a few televised matches. Also, the matches that are chosen for broadcast will be tougher than the average match. Therefore of our recent matches Blackpool, Reading and Mboro were televised whereas Palace and Posh were not. Cov wouldn't be televised in a thousand years except for the circumstances surrounding it. The only difference I can see is that Cov may try a little harder so they don't look like tw*ts on the BBC. We've also had the odd fantastic victory televised: thinking of Leeds home and away here. When the team walk out to a packed St Mary's and a sea of red and white, they will forget about the TV cameras. And so should we.
  14. Stuart Gray gone now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17869005
  15. For me personally? No. I enjoy the Championship, the more relaxed days out, the more reasonable ticket prices - and the fact that we win quite often. However for the club I would be gutted. The day will come when a lot of clubs will cease to exist. The only way to ensure long-term financial stability is by playing in the Prem (unless you are Pompey in which case you f*ck it up anyway). Sad but true. In addition if we fail to go up, we will lose quite a few of our top players. Replacement would prove difficult. We saw in the summer and January how difficult the transfer market can be even if you have the necesaary funds. How long would NA stay before he was poached by a Prem club? Who would we get in his place? I think that it would be best for SFC to be in the Prem, although obviously this is up for debate.
  16. Or brunch. Or weekend.
  17. 4-1. Cov score first, then a Guly hat trick. Lambert completes the scoring in stoppage time.
  18. No, but my son has a stuffed monster toy that apparently supports the Skates. I think he does this to wind me up.
  19. Seconded. He made Stuart Gray look decent.
  20. Blackpool. It's a win-win situation. If we win we go on to the playoff final, which we will win because the pressure is off. If we lose, we get one of smirking Olly's priceless quotes about how Southampton think they're a big club but they ain't
  21. This could've been a whole lot worse... imagine a 5-1 win to West Ham. As it is a draw may be enough.
  22. They took 6 points off us...
  23. Here's an interesting question. If we are butt****ed by Cardiff in the playoffs, would this be the most disastrous ****-up of its kind in recent memory? I seem to remember Wolves snatching defeat from the jaws of victory about 10 years ago...
  24. NP strikes me as a true professional. I'm more worried about the commitment of one or two of the players.
