I’d love it if we offered TBH a deal (reduced wages of course) on the proviso that he sees out his Pompey contract.

My wife's a veggie, which means I go a bit mad when I'm out on the town sometimes... but all in all I'm eating less meat too & am a healthier for it.

The real fun will come in 10, 20, 30 years' time, when League 1 (or whatever it's called by then) strugglers AFC Pompey are liquidated because of their unpaid tax bill - but at least they got to the JPT Southern Division semi-final! I don't think Portsmouth will be capable of running an honest football club. It will be like the myth of Sisyphus for them: start at the bottom, up the leagues, down the leagues, liquidated. Start at the bottom... (repeat ad infinitum)

Normally I would agree with this sentiment. However this is mad. Three years for posting on Facebook!?! I would expect an anti-Muslim rant to carry a jail sentence, aggravated racial or religious hatred I believe it's called, but not for three years.

And people who have taken advantage of their politico-celebrity status to assault women. That I did not know, and to be honest it surprises me. I still think that Assange should stand trial for his alleged misdeeds, and asylum should only be considered if he is then faced with extradition to the US.
-
And if he is guilty (it isn't an impossible suggestion - despite implications from the liberal media it isn't just right-wingers who do bad things such as assaulting women) he will know that he can hide behind his persecution complex. Sweden is a fairly liberal place, I'm not sure I'd consider them part of the 'big bad Western world'. It's not like he's being shipped off to the US. Incase of an extradition I would be surprised if this is honoured.
-
No country should give him asylum so he can escape a trial for sexual assualt. If the US apply for an extradition order then perhaps a claim for asylum on political grounds can be made. I wouldn't think that Sweden are the most natural allies of the US, so I doubt they would extradite anyway.

Me too! Mods may want to change this to 'goodbye barnard' for those of us who are prone to panic... I don't think there was ever much doubt that Lee Barnard would be going.

As I remember our season did improve under HR, it's just that Palace, West Brom and Norwich improved as well. We just couldn't catch them. He was a better manager than Wigley, but not by much.

OK, I have to accept there really is a 'looney' left.....

Can they redress the balance by standing up for a dump? -
He must be on a wind-up. Nobody is that stupid.

I do!

Bath is amazing - a bit posh and very studenty though - you have been warned! DO not miss the Old Green Tree which is a fantastic pub not too far from the Abbey.

Pompey are in need of a goalkeeper... it really is a perfect match.

A team local-ish to me. That'd do nicely.

The THC content of cannabis continues to increase. So the stuff my mother smoked was nowhere near as strong as the stuff I smoked, ad infinitum. I don't indulge in drugs now and haven't for about 15 years. Well, expect for alcohol which of course is a drug, but I feel comfortable treating this differently because society treats it differently.

I saw the line 'United release Evans' in the Times. I thought I'll have Jonny Evans! Let's snap him up! Alas, wrong United and wrong Evans...

This. Too much light on Nigel Adkins and he'll be managing Liverpool after they sack Rodgers in September. -
So he will suffer the same fate as his beloved club?

Serbia's missing from the poll. Mods?

Everyone.

Hmmm. Just thought that my current reign as 'Pedestrian Killer Champion' may not be in best taste considering the nature of this thread.

This will happen obviously, and I expect he'll get a few knocks on occasion above and beyond what the average keeper might expect.

I don't think he should be playing football. He should stay out of the public eye for the sake of the family. This is the decent thing to do. If I went to prison for a similar crime, I wouldn't be hired for the job I do now (or a similar one) when I got out. There are plenty of jobs he could do besides football. Again why should he? To save the family even more grief. Again, it's the decent thing.
