  1. Sunderland 0-1 WBA (Gera, 30)
  2. Some are definitely out (e.g. Cabaye) but for some of the others I will believe it when I see the team sheet
  3. Tonga. Mutton flaps galore.
  4. The point he's made in the past is that the 'Y' word shouldn't be used by anyone who isn't Jewish. The majority of Spurs fans aren't Jewish therefore this is not OK - I think it's a fair argument.
  5. QPR: Draw Newcastle: Lose Norwich: Win Liverpool: Lose Reading: Win So much the same as the OP, but less optimistic for Newcastle.
  6. My first thought is that he can f*ck off and play for Celtic where his actions would give him hero status. However I suppose he can do what he wants, freedom of speech and all that. I'm just glad he's not one of our lads. On a side note should this thread be renamed the 'Poppy Takeover Saga'?
  7. Any CB's that are available, affordable, and not sh*te.
  8. Can we recall Forecast?
  9. This. I'm normally right-leaning but I think the USA (and thereby most of the rest of the world) dodged a bullet on 6 November.
  10. Jury's out on Boruc, and from what I've seen of Yoshida he is not Prem quality. Clyne I agree is excellent if inexperienced. Still with Gaston we might win 4-3...
  11. I imgine 3 points from wither WBA or Swansea will save his job. Other than that I'm giving him until 12 November.
  12. No. Not if we don't start picking up points soon, otherwise we'll be adrift at the bottom. 2 points between us and 17th, and when that gap becomes 3 with goal difference it gets worrying.
  13. He allegedly referred to John Obi Mikel as a monkey. Not an accusation that can be taken lightly.
  14. Weird.
  15. Same here. I thought he's be injured for three months and then go to Arsenal in January.
  16. I would rather have any of the following before 'Arry: - Burley - Poortvliet - Wigley - Dennis Wise - Cotterill Prefer to keep Nigel though, failing that a decent manager whose name doesn't start with an 'A.
  17. And who stuggled to beat Antigua & Barbuda. Mind you they did have the mighty Dexter Blackstock: http://www.goal.com/en-ca/match/72575/antigua-barbuda-vs-usa/report Basically, no thanks.
  18. Exactly. It usually consigns us to a month or so in the doldrums while every squad member gets 'to prove themselves'
  19. Can we get Antonio Conte in during his ban (a la the Joey Barton and Marsailles thing)?
  20. George Burley for me.
  21. I hate to say it but this wouldn't surprise me. If results don't improve his days are certainly numbered. So much for stability then...
  22. With any luck there will be three sides in the Prem who are worse than us...
  23. Not a lineup that inspires confidence. Sounds like an easy three points for them.
  24. In a way, yes. Basically they cannot have it both ways - either McKinnon is an adult & responsible for his own actions (in which case he should have been extradited like anyone else), or he is unable to control his own actions, in which case he needed keeping an eye on a bit more closely. As I said, the correct decision seems to have been reached. But it is not a clear-cut victory for 'justice' really, is it?
  25. Being a pro-US right-winger but also a father of a boy wth Asperger's, I was torn on this one. Right decision in balance. He caused a lot of damage but at the end of the day nobody died. 70 years' prison is laughable. I do however question the mother in all of this. Surely she knew what he was up to? Did she ever suggest to him that hacking was wrong? Is she somehow (morally, although certainly not legally) culpable in all of this? We have made sure that my son understands that his obsessions cannot interfere with the law, or the rights of others. If Mrs McKinnon or whatever her name is had been a better parent when Gary was growing up, perhaps she wouldn't have needed to go on her little crusade in the first place.
