Keep the faith in Pochettino. There will be many more draws where this came from. And as we all know, draws not wins are what you need to stay up in the Prem.

Would you take a point at Wigan if offered now?

I'd take a loss provided Martinez talked about how great we were. -
Nah, make it QPRfrom £35 million.

Fergie says "Southampton are best team to play here all season"
jjsaint replied to Forester's topic in The Saints
Nice compliment, but knowing Fergie perhaps it is also a little dig at Arsenal/Liverpool? A bit like Poyet's gushing praise for Reading but a shade more subtle? -
We'll see how it goes I suppose. I admire his ambition, but I just hope we keep the foundations solid.

Possible yes, likely no. If we become the new Man City with mega-rich Arab money pouring in from every side... but this will take time and serious, serious investment. I don't think Cortese really understands what he is up against.

Transfer Deadline Day Who's in Who's out?
jjsaint replied to Horton Heath Saint's topic in The Saints
Are we trying to compete with P*mpey for the most threadbare squad in English football? -
2 good goals against Arsenal in the last match at the Dell. Other than that... don't remember much.

I was quite a good violinist many moons ago.

Still anti, sorry. It will take more than 45 minutes of decent play against Everton for me to change that I'm afraid.

What would you be prepared to do to bring Nigel back?
jjsaint replied to Tokyo-Saint's topic in The Muppet Show
Mmmm. I think three months would be okay but no less. And not the 'sleeping on their mates' couch' kind of homeless but the whole package like in the Ralph McTell song. -

I'd kill a homeless person. -
How do we attract more good looking women to St Marys
jjsaint replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Muppet Show
The women at St Mary's are already the most lovely in the Premier League. -
Surprisingly I would rather have had Arry - much as I hate him at least he knows the English game, he speaks a form of English and he's semi-reliable. I'd rather have pretty much anyone than Pochattino really. I hope I'm proven wrong I really do.

I've been disappointed at SFC-related decisions before. This is different. This is, to quote SaintsHub, 'an unnecessary gamble'. This is needlessly jeopardising the stability at the club. On the face of it, it looks like one of the most ridiculous decisions in English football for quite some time. I know a lot of people will have a go, call me a moron, not a true supporter, say I'm overreacting, etc. but I think the vast majority of Saints fans are in agreement with me.

For £4 million with no sell-on clause.
-
He doesn't speak English so we can write what we like here.

C***tese is such a cort. I need to make a decision as to how involved I want to be with SFC in the future.

Can't believe we overlooked Matty Taylor - class guy on and off the pitch! Symbolises what Wast Ham are about really
-
This - although the subsequent 'performance' against Arsenal cut short his newfound ability with the club...

I think it's best to put Hoover into the squad for Villa at any rate - given how long it seems for new players to settle at Saints. I'd hate to put in Mr £3m Magic Defender with Completely Uncomplicated Transfer only for everything to go tit soup.
-
I just hope we're not going sh*t or bust to stay up. So I'm a bit nervous about money spent.

Tough one this. There are a lot of teams that I have a fondness for but no 'second team' as such. The difference is in emotional commitment and fidelity, 'second' teams gome and go. For instance I used to be fond of Rangers but when they bellied up I thought there's no chance I'm going through all that again... After three years in three separate leagues and a lot of grudges along the way, my 'second teams' equates to 'teams I don't hate'. A lot of my Sky 4 supporting mates can't understand the concept that I don't have another 'big' team that I support. I suppose it's Liverpool as I hate Man U, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea but only feel a mild dislike for Liverpool. (perhaps that's because they're crap now I don't know) Also for some reason a disproportionate number of my non-Saints friends are Spurs supporters so it's hard to hate Spurs even when Harry was at the helm. But that's all I can say - I don't actively hate them.
