I don't post often, more of an observer on the site. However, I must echo the words of somptingsaint. Mark Wotte stood by Saints during our darkest hours, he tried to put out a young attacking side and keep the 'ball rolling'. He was gutted at the end having signed a new contract to be shown the door. He left with dignity and our thanks. I liked the bloke, he once gave my son a Saints baseball cap as we stood watching training one day when it was ****ing down! Good guy imho, hope he can sort out the sweaty socks.

Barny will rip the CCC apart. Delighted with this news.

Believe it or not I have been working in Miami! I do a couple of months here and there. Wish I was there more often than here (especially during the off season!).

Needs to go out and cut his teeth in L1 or L2 this season. Understand that he did okay at Stockport and not so good at Oxford. Could be a player there, but he needs games now. Paterson v United - what was the referee thinking, he didn't touch Vidic (much!).

Absolutely overjoyed with this signing. An excellent young player who will be our stand out player next season imho.

It was Ryan's debut in professional football - he seems to have been with us for ages, but he's never played any first team football! By the sounds of it the Stockport fans were pretty happy with him first half, but not so much the second. He's played for Wales u/21 but not in the football league, I find that quite hard to fathom! As for Paterson, my Southend supporting workmates love the lad - but he's been bummed out of Southend because they can't afford to pay him (and he's stuck behind the managers son!). The Stockport fans love him - seemingly he was brilliant on his debut against Bury and scored a beaut! I still think Pardew was wrong to force him out, always thought he had something, now he has to really do it the hard way - could be the making of him? By the sounds of it Stockport are down unless the Dobs and Pato can do something spectacular!!

Lallana by a country mile. Alex has great movement and will do well, but Adam should be playing regularly at the highest level now.

This is what I heard as well, especially Forecast, who was offered a termination of his contract after only 6/7 months of being here!!

Absolutely spot on guys. I work with loads of Southend and Charlton fans, they all rate him! One minute the lad is number one striker about to start the season, next he's dropped to the bench and Mr Sturrock brings in son Master Sturrock and Paterson doesn't get a look in. The Shrimpers fans think he's been shafted, firstly to come to Southend in the first place (Pardew gave him an ultimatium re Barnard) and secondly he has scored something like 4 or 5 goals in six or seven games whilst 'son' has got 4/5 in about twenty five games! The lad is liked, just had a real hard time, I remember his goal away to Ipswich - quality. Best of luck to him, hope he gets a few more at Stockport and his career takes off.

Sorry my friend but I thought Pardew was uninspiring at best. Given buckets of money to buy us promotion, simply he failed. Cannot imagine what the Newcastle fans are feeling at the moment, completely underwhelmed i would think!

Didn't like Pardew. He is vehmently hated by my Charlton supporting workmates. Once he starts bringing in 'his' players Newcastle will be relegated.

Thought Pardew came in and did a pretty decent job. Working with loads and loads of Charlton, Daggers and Southend fans, he is widely hated here in the South East of London, although West Ham fans seem to think that one day he'll be back at Upton Park!

As this is my first post, thought I would firstly say hello to all Saints fans and I look forward to some good discussions! Currently living/working in South East London, mainly surrounded by Charlton, Dagenham and Southend United fans! Just didn't realise how despised Mr Alan Pardew really was! Well done Mr Jones, who goes to Elland Road and wins 4 - 0? an incredible results and some very, very good football played by Cardiff.
