  1. So now he's: José Miguel da Rocha Fonte, ComM. ComM standing for the rank of 'Commander' in the honours system of Portugal: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_Merit_(Portugal) And also set to be given 'the keys to the city' in his hometown of Penafiel. Not a bad summer...
  2. Only those who have been members of the Labour Party since before February 2016 will be permitted to vote.
  3. They made Corbyn leave the room this evening - after his initial refusal - so they could hold a secret ballot on whether he's allowed to be in the leadership contest. Result? Corbyn on the ballot - 18 Corbyn not on the ballot - 14
  4. Speak for yourself.
  5. Leadsom quitting the race for PM at noon, so it'll be Theresa May leading the UK into Brexit.
  6. Leadsom due to announce that she is quitting the race to become PM shortly.
  7. Wotton or Schneiderlin always stands out, in hindsight.
  8. A proper, proper Saints hero. On the banner, IMO.
  9. I don't see what defence she has. She was asked a question about the fact that she keeps bringing up the fact she is a mother. She then flies straight into the question (which doesn't ever reference May) with 'well Theresa doesn't have children' before heading for the classic 'I don't want to say something that can be construed as nasty, BUT, I'm going to do it anyway!' approach.
  10. Emma Tucker - Deputy Editor of The Times - has tweeted that part of the transcript having listened back to the tape. Nobody from Leadsom's camp recorded the interview.
  11. In the interest of balance: Leadsom denies it. Tape, transcripts and presumably legal action all set to follow if that's the case...
  12. It's just not necessary to even comment on, and I don't see how it makes a difference.
  13. Theresa May 'must be really sad' to not have kids, says Leadsom. ****ing hell, what's it to do with her?
  14. Hmm, I'd agree but there were several times in the past couple of seasons where Koeman just picked Pellè out of blind loyalty when he was awful. Let's not forget it was only when Pellè got injured that he actually gave Long a run of games and ended up having to stick with him.
  15. I can see it from the perspective of Austin/Rodriguez though. Going into this preseason you've got to assume they're behind Graziano and Shane, for the one central striker's position. Graziano goes, but if you buy in another one then those two are knocked down to 3rd and 4th and are left wondering if their future belongs here. Personally, if I was them and I saw another striker brought into the club this summer to start games then I'd start to question whether I should be instructing my agent to find me a new club. Hopefully, and I'm crossing everything, both of them will swerve major injuries or consistent niggles and if they do, I think it'll work out well for us. Slightly concerning if they both get laid up and we're reliant on just Shane and Sam G though.
