Apologies if already been posted but Rickie is on Twitter @Rickie_Lambert http://twitter.com/#!/Rickie_Lambert and seems to be value ie speaks his mind, eg this from thsi afternoon: "Then when Rooney (Just as an example) messes something up they cream themselves over him. Laughable" and "The team I'd least like to see to go up is MK Dons. Firstly they should change their name from the 'Dons' to just Milton Keynes FC" Hear hear! All Matty seems to do is retweet

Although helps atmosphere of course the guys who do most of the singing are there for the occasion more than for the football hence can be embarrassing. it was same with Milton Road lot - football snobbery i know but they weren't the cool kids and they sung stupid songs back then in the 80s Now this is a good song:

Could there be a ban on comments like 'you clearly know nothing about football' So childish people getting upset when someone disagrees - FFS it is a forum you'd have nothing to talk about if you all agreed. For me Lambert isn't mobile enough for Championship. I love him of course but it is a fickle old game. Also think so many football fans are sheep and follow commentators or what their mates say. Also you have the phoneys who like to be contrary for the teh benefit of their ego. Look at Carrick getting praise after a good game in Schalke. " poor games and opinion will change back I was moaning about Rickie at H/T at MK Dons game and look what a fool he made me feel - i wasn't told i knew nothing about football tho! Also the initial post saying he had more attempts, shots etc - pointless stat as if he his playing centre forward and has most appearances that would clearly be expected - what other player is expected to have beaten him on that stat? Barnard, Guly, Connolly?
-
my final post for 24 hours - does anyone have previous Saints Web players of the season? Must have been Rickie last year?

Not a red herring but incorrect. A red herring is a clue that points you in the wrong direction. Just saying -
Can we have some musical notes against it - i cant get the tune from the words

Guessing not too many real life friends alpine?

I am relatively new here and appreciate that it's not easy to find truly stimulating threads on a football club forum without constant repetition and repeat debate but bit baffling how such an inane attention seeking opening post can generate 4 pages of responses. And the guy spouting such ridiculous stuff has 15000+ posts to his name so assume he has a history of tongue in cheek provocation?

Current form for last 8 league games P W D L Pts 1 Peterborough 8 7 1 0 22 2 Leyton Orient 8 7 1 0 22 3 Brighton 8 7 0 1 21 4 Southampton 8 5 2 1 17 5 Mk Dons 8 5 2 1 17 6 Huddersfield 8 4 4 0 16 Hard to believe all sides are so strong at this time of year. Bearing in mind Brighton's one loss was to MK Dons and MK Dons only loss was to Orient! The one plus side is the bookies don't seem to have noticed as 6/4 and 13/8 readily available for Peterborough and Huddersfield's midweek games. Easy money although still gutted when Huddersfield scored in 90+2 although paid for the Chinese!

Hope he sat down when told to or have stewards finally given up trying. And don't think the true fans are in the Northam Nicola - most of them are muppets!

It's his post match comments that are becoming so boring. Cant put my finger on exactly what the difference between his interviews and Pardew's. But from last night below = c'mon we are all aware it was Tuesday and you were up north ffs. More talk of being in the building please. "We've come to get six points from Rochdale away and Hartlepool away. One was cancelled so we have to go to Rochdale on a Tuesday evening and we got one point instead of the three." "It was frustrating. Obviously we've come to Hartlepool on a February evening on a Tuesday night and the fans have come and got behind the player and it was a competitive game."
-
cant believe all the criticism of Rochdale. We got ourselves in this 'noddy' league so accept it. How can Rochdale have a pitch like our on their budget and rainfall you morons. Tis frustrating but dont start slagging off smaller clubs - no wonder Brighton and others hate us for arrogance - dont blame them for some of the muppets posting here.

The refusal to sell a season ticket at Southampton FC
whelk replied to lenwilkins's topic in The Saints
Sounds like a load of bitter sorts here whose noses are out of joint by someone taking their limelight. I don't have the background but crap to slag off someone from relative anonymity and if I were him I would want to take it further if my club refused me a season ticket. At least have the courage to give the man an explanation. As for the press having a field day - assume we are only thinking of the Echo?
