Looks like a few fans have hit a nerve with Samuel after his previous article... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2769078/Southampton-emulated-Manchester-United-s-Class-92-instead-sell.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 A lot of drivel on there from both fans and Samuel.

Given the potential for rain, however much Wood plays it down, I'm sure the thought will be there to get them back in as soon as possible. 500 by lunch seems feasible, as long as we don't lose any cheap wickets early on.
-
Gotta come back down to earth quickly... this is the kind of game we could f*ck up and I REALLY, REALLY don't want to f*ck up against Redknapp.
-
He didn't.
-
lol, penalty to Boro...
-
Forgive me, but it almost sounds a bit too OTT in our favour, like he's taking the ****. Something just doesn't quite sit right with me reading THAT... from HIM. lol.
-
Another win after going behind away from home too. Koeman is just ripping the ****** out of Pochettino isn't he...?
-
Quality dive from Rosicky there, conned the ref completely.

And we have! Every little helps...

Hoping we can get another batting point...

Vince gone for 144 - 278/6.

Similar to that, here's a representation of my view for this evening, subject to getting a stream:
-
100 for Vince now, 196-5 off 53.
-
Whisper it quietly, but 152-5 currently, Vince and Ervine both with half-centuries to steady things.

Just signed up for the Lordshill 10 mile as something to aim for as I build up my mileage again. Only ran 10k for the first time in over a year this weekend!

The whole article does seem somewhat predicated on the notion that the Board will look to do the same next summer, when there is no evidence to suggest that is the case. It *could* happen of course, but I am pretty sure that what we saw was a one-off based on the fact that the players that left felt there was a change of ambition at the club because of what they were told by Cortese... any new players coming in to the club now will know exactly what the clubs intentions/ambitions are and so are much less likely to leave IMO. So yes, the article is correct in much of what it says except perhaps for recognising the unique circumstances that led to those departures, that was almost certainly a one-off unlikely to be repeated.

I reckon there was a little more to it than that, along the lines that he has been disappointed at being dropped and so there was a touch of 'in your face gaffer!' about him. All good for competition in the squad IMO.

If you want decent Japanese food, go to Kyoto Kitchen in Winchester.

Yeah, realised that not long after I did it... here's a correct one:

A word for Gardos too btw... liked the way he brought the ball out of defence, never looked troubled at the back. I realise he didn't have Bony or similar to contend with, but I felt more confidence in him than Yoshi and think he deserves a start vs Arsenal.
-
A few *key* touches and passes were poor but otherwise I thought he was pretty good. Can see he gets frustrated easily, but still a good player and still early days. Nuisance is definitely the right word. Crucially, he kept his cool whilst Bony lost his, and that was the difference.
-
My MOTM. Would like to see him play in behind Pelle actually, with Long and Mane in the wide positions... Tadic can cross but he also has a great eye for a pass and threaded some lovely balls in through a Swansea defence that was trying to get behind the ball. He is quality.

That's just wrong. He's not had the best game I agree, but he is a good player.
