  1. I'm normally in Guildford and don't know of any that show it, most choose Prem games. Best bet is mates over your house.
  2. David Gower is, I heard?
  3. Then I'm sure you realise that not all culture in America is, I quote, "cheesy, false, childish, immature and artificial with no history or tradition", and thus to brand goal music as bad because it is "Americanised" is a stupid thing to do? For the record the EDL comment was (obviously) flippant, as were most of the "it sux cause it's American" comments, I'm sure. But American culture is "cheesy, false, childish, immature and artificial with no history or tradition"? Dear me.
  4. Quite a sweeping statement of a whole culture, there. You're either a bit stupid, or ultranationalist which would make you more stupid. Stop trying to justify your hatred for Americans, it's just ****ing goal music.
  5. Why are people saying it being "Americanised" is a bad thing, you ****ing xenophobes. Frankly I hate goal music because it's cheesy as hell but check out the EDL members going on about it being bad because they'd expect it from another country.
  6. Another CM, just what we need

    Sam Vokes

Then why weren't these teams starting him? Maybe because... brace yourself... he wasn't good enough?
  8. To be fair a lot of the fans on there are responding with comments in the ilk of "Don't be a moron, we have no reason to hate Adkins/Southampton and look at the league, we're in no position to try to get one over" etc, it's just a vocal minority of morons as with most fanbases.

    Sam Vokes

Will he?! Either you've got some kind of futuresight or you don't know how to read football stats. 2006–2008 Bournemouth 54 (16) 2008– Wolverhampton Wanderers 47 (6) 2009 → Leeds United (loan) 8 (1) 2010–2011 → Bristol City (loan) 1 (0) 2011 → Sheffield United (loan) 6 (1) 2011 → Norwich City (loan) 4 (1) 6 clubs, 0 impressive scoring records. So like I said, you're either mystic or you're basing that comment on absolutely nothing. Hell, before tonight he only had 2 in 18 on international level. If he wasn't an alleged Saints fan, there'd be next to nobody on here wanting him to sign. Fact.
  10. I've always heard/sung "When we get promoted This is what we'll sing"
  11. Referee gives a bad call, kid behind screams "Oh my god blindo! You should have gone to military school! The ref should have gone to military school!" Nope, no idea.
  12. My list for being a proper fan: Check the results after every game if you couldn't make it for whatever reason, (be it transport, finance, location or a variety of other ones, attendance to every game home and away does not equal "proper fan"), and be happy when we win. Sorted.
  13. Spot on. 39 or back of 38 for me. Never any hostility/plastic fans crap going on, but lots of passionate support (not that we're better supporters in 42-37 but we're louder, and I like shouting)
  14. It makes sense - people are paying for the space they take up, not the chair itself surely? Therefore people who take up more space than one chair should need to pay for more than one space, no?
  15. Fair point, isn't it Carlos? Oh, wait... Ronaldo, you got a say? No? Okay how about you, Rooney, you've never wanted out right? Oh crap...
  16. None of us are experts in running a football club. Clubs are run by a chairman/company putting their own money into it - if it wasn't profitable, why would they do it? They're people too, they'd not spend £200k a week of the business' money without good reason.
  17. Jamie Carragher was an Everton ST holder and he's stayed pretty loyal.
  18. Let's look at Leicester's strikers - Paul Gallagher, Steve Howard, Darius Vassell, Jermaine Beckford, Jeffrey Schlupp and David Nugent. I'd pick each and every one of those over Forte, even Howard.
  19. I thought JWP played really well - became a bit backwards pass-y but nobody was doing anything for him - De Ridder was the only one making forward runs and he was (by his own admission) garbage. Very impressed by him.

    Graham Murty

Anyone who ever watched Late Kick Off will know how fond Murty is of us, but look at his career - of course he's closer aligned with Reading than he is with us. I have no problems with the man.
  21. Because being trialed by peers is the foundation and cornerstone of a fair and just society blah blah blah. End of the day, the judge and lawyers spoonfeed the jury everything they need to know so a lot of the time, the verdict is a formality. And if they get it wrong, they just appeal to higher courts and that.
  22. I'm doing a Law degree so I figure I know my stuff, and I know that it's impossible to say what's going to happen to him as none of us know the specifics of what happened. If it really was smashing someone in the face with broken glass then it doesn't take an expert to figure out that's serious stuff.
  23. A nice, but somewhat unimportant stat - Southampton have received the least yellow cards in the division with just five. The most in the league is 19 - picked up by our buddies down the road.
  24. Yeah, we should never bring back old players! Let's keep signing new faces, the likes of Chaplow, and Cork! Oh...
  25. I think it's fun and don't mind - what I did mind was when we went 2-1 up against Forest, the chant of "1-0 and you ****ed it up!!" where I just thought, oh god that's gonna come back to haunt us. Lo and behold it nearly did.
