Pretty ridiculous result. J Rod has more rust than a barbecue set in January.

I don't think it's too much to ask of Long to at least convert one of his three sitters. Hard to see a way of out of this without a striker. May not be Puel's fault, but it will be the lack of one that might get him sacked around the Christmas period.

This is quite a coup for a club the size of Everton. Their fans must be extremely satisfied with what it is a clear statement of intent here.

Targett needs to be a bit more confident and try and get in behind sometimes instead of looking backwards. Apart from that, pretty much as expected - solid enough with goals going to be a struggle.

Islam certainly makes great claims of itself. It states that it is the last and final religion, and provides a 'total' solution for every aspect of your life. As the late Christopher Hitchins said, because of this it 'cannot bend it can only break' so tends to react with violence when threatened. When this is combined with the standard lethal monotheistic notion of a perfect human being and a perfect book you simply cannot have a peaceful outcome. To remove religion from the scale of global terrorist violence we see today is naivety bordering on stupidity.

Not a single pound waiting to back Klinsmann on Betfair. And all the other firms have an auto pricing feed from the exchanges. Wouldn't be too concerned.

Lallana 0 from 26 now for England.

Should have started Milner, he'd of opened them up.

Ha. Whilst appreciating the binary nature of the football forum, I'd politely suggest there's some middle ground here.

Have absolutely no real evidence to base this concern on...but 2 down at half time can you really see Pellegrini being the inspirational motivator? I know Iain Duncan Smith has taught us all to never underestimate the determination of a quiet man, but just can't see it for some reason.
-
Weird! Can't really see why he needed to be in the country either. And surely if would be a small army of lawyers reviewing and drawing up documents, not Stacey from accounts doing some overtime!

Best I've seen us play for years. Spurs players were great, with the exception of Kane and his awful corners. Lost an outlet in Sterling and got trapped. So frustrating. Should have been 3 up at half time though in truth. Nivea boy went missing 2nd half I thought.

Probably just reassuring the wife that they can get a place in some new money chavtastic joke like Alderley Edge rather than live in self pity city itself.

The bin dippers are all over us on here! It's almost as if they have something to prove - certainly not the reaction you'd expect for such a BIG club. Perhaps deep down they can almost hear the collective 'Everton? Why's he going there?' reaction that takes place when most people hear the story.

Harry and Jim ?

If you accept that loyalty is essentially dead, then there's not a great deal we can do in a situation such as this. We have been identified as the number one stepping stone club of English football it seems. And it isn't clear if there's anything we can realistically do about it. What that means in terms of achieving progression in a sustainable way I have no idea.

breaking News! Ronald puts own to paper on new deal!!!

Ha, we're rubbish but Sams face at the end was funny. Hope that costs them and they go down by a couple

Admittedly it was only Chelsea, but signs we're getting there.

We're just really really ridiculously good looking

Toby, Morgan and Pelle must have been the best looking spine of a team out there. -
Hollowed out little feeder club, with those who are left that are any good just waiting for their moves. Pressing game dead, as are the days when we had full backs that pushed up and got in behind. Rather have Martina Hingis at left back than that streak of ****
